The Impact of Credit Constraint on Productivity and Technical Efficiency of Sugarcane in Indonesia
Credit constraints on banks in the sugarcane plantation sector hinder efforts to achieve sugar self-sufficiency. Farmers\u27 access to banking is often deemed difficult due to the dominance of small-scale farmers who lack collateral. In reality, farmers who successfully access banking sources also face constraints as the amount of credit received does not match the amount requested due to information imperfections between banks and farmers. Therefore, this research aims to identify the characteristics of farmers facing credit constraints, analyze the impact of credit constraints on productivity and technical efficiency, and identify the factors influencing technical inefficiency. The sample size consists of 4885 farmers who were then analyzed using ordinal probit regression, stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), total factor productivity (TFP), partial productivity, and propensity score matching (PSM) methods. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that land area and participation in agricultural organizations such as cooperatives and partnerships strengthen the degree of credit constraint. Meanwhile, land ownership and irrigated decrease the degree of credit constraint. The negative impact of credit constraints on productivity and technical efficiency is evident. Factors influencing technical efficiency include land status, land type, seed varieties, and participation in cooperatives and partnerships. This research has implications for bank policies that should not hinder farmers\u27 access to banking services. This can be achieved by designing specific agricultural loans that view agriculture not as a risk but as a long-term investment.

The Role of Environmental Concern in Shaping The Purchase Intention of Eco-Friendly Packaging
Background: Highlight the importance of emphasizing the necessity of utilizing environmentally benign packaging materials, particularly given the mounting environmental concerns primarily attributed to the alarming rate of plastic waste production. Purpose: The study aims to analyze the factors that influence Generation Z consumers’ intention to purchase products with eco-friendly packaging and identify strategies that can be employed to enhance this intention. Design/methodology/approach: A path analysis was performed using Partial Least Square with Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).Findings/Result: The research findings indicate that environmental concerns, support for the policy, perceived behavioral control, attitude, and subjective norm positively and significantly influence the increased intention to purchase Generation Z products with eco-friendly packaging. Environmental concern and perceived behavioral control are pivotal in fostering increased purchase intention for these products. Environmental concerns strongly influence intentions to purchase eco-friendly packaged products, leading Generation Z to demand more. This phenomenon reflects consumer trends; stakeholders need involvement to encourage sustainable actions and achieve environmental sustainability, especially among young people. Conclusion: It could be concluded that environmental concern plays a pivotal role in Generation Z\u27s intention to purchase products with eco-friendly packaging. This concern influences various aspects of the Theory of Planned Behavior, guiding consumers toward more sustainable choices. The findings indicate that a higher level of environmental concern is associated with a greater intention to select eco-friendly packaging. Therefore, stakeholders must enhance environmental awareness among Generation Z, as they will play a pivotal role in the future of environmental sustainability development. Integrating eco-friendly practices into campus environments and business strategies will help meet this demand and support the shift toward more sustainable consumer behavior.Originality/value (State of the art): This study uses an extended variant of the TPB with a research focus different from previous studies. Previous empirical studies such as Paul et al. (2016), Chaudhary & Bisai (2018), and Asih et al. (2020) focused on green products. In contrast, this study focuses on products with eco-friendly packaging. Paul et al. (2016) integrated the TPB model with environmental concern to examine its influence on purchase intention of green products in India, while Chaudhary & Bisai (2018) combined the TPB model with environmental concern to examine its influence on purchase intention and willingness to pay premium, and tested the moderation effect between purchase intention and green purchasing behavior in India. Asih et al. (2020) integrated the TPB model with environmental concern and environmental knowledge to examine interest in using green products. However, this study integrates environmental concern and policy to support the TPB model, examine the factors influencing Generation Z’s purchase intention toward products with eco-friendly packaging, and identify strategies to increase Generation Z’s intention to purchase.

The Why and Who Facets of Strategic Horticulture Enterprise Systems
Actual Indonesia\u27s inflation rate is higher than the government\u27s inflation target. One of the reasons is that the dataset for calculating food group inflation is asymmetric due to incomplete supply and demand data. This study tries to overcome asymmetric data constraints by providing an enterprise system for strategic horticultural commodities (SHES). The research method used the first three Zachman Framework perspectives: the executive perspective contextual view, the business management perspective conceptual view, and the architect\u27s perspective physical view, each evaluated using the Why and Who facets. Respectively, the result of the Why facet is about business drivers and motivation intention: vision, mission, and goals; strategic goals and the SHES model\u27s entity goals/objectives; and system development rules, requirements, and functionality representation. The Who facets results are associated with responsibility assignments of farmers, merchants, sub-district data collectors, District Agriculture offices, developers, users, and managers (tested using high-fidelity prototypes/mockups). With SHES, data and information collection becomes systematic and holistic, immediately in the form of real-time data from farmers and traders. Access to SHES uses the farmer\u27s/trader\u27s mobile phone. Thus, data recapitulation, from village to sub-district, district, to provincial and national, will likely be based on reality/data facts in the field.

The Probability of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Introduction and Transmission in Western Java Poultry Chains: Linking Value Chains and Expert Estimates
In Indonesia, several poultry value chains exist in conjunction. The introduction and transmission routes of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) may differ between these different poultry chains. Consequently, critical areas for control may differ between the poultry value chains and the actors within these chains. However, there is no estimation of the relative importance of the different actors in the Indonesian poultry value chains regarding the probability of HPAI introduction and transmission. To fill this gap, qualitative risk assessments of HPAI introduction and transmission were employed and linked with a previously established value chain map of poultry production in Western Java. Introduction and transmission probability estimates were determined through expert knowledge elicitation. Expert elicitation is acquiring expert opinions on unclear subjects due to insufficient evidence, physical constraints, or resource limitations. Results indicated variable HPAI introduction and transmission risks in the different value chains in West Java, ranging from low to very high. Critical actors were all farming sectors, private collecting farms, traditional outlets, and semi-automated slaughterhouses. Linking the value chain with an expertise-based estimation for introduction and transmission is an efficient and systematic way to identify opportunities for control measures for developing countries.

The Impact of Contract Farming on The Production Risk of Coffee Farming in Lampung
Background: One of Indonesia\u27s largest producers of robusta coffee, Lampung Province still faces challenges and risks in coffee productivity. Coffee productivity in Lampung fluctuates and tends to decrease each year. Contract farming is one of the solutions to overcome these issues. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the impact of contract farming on production and production risk in robusta coffee farming in Lampung Province. Design/methodology/approach: The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Project Cooperation Agreement (PCA). This research uses a sample size of 99 contract farmers and 104 non-contract farmers. The research analysis method uses the OLS estimation approach to estimate the production function and MLE estimation for the production risk function.Findings/Result: The results showed that contract farming significantly and positively impacts coffee production outcomes. Conversely, contract farming has a significant and positive influence on production risk. Meanwhile, factors that reduce production risk include land area and labor. Contract farming increases production yields, but it also raises production risks. This insight is crucial for farmers considering contract farming, as it underscores the need for comprehensive risk management strategies and productivity enhancements. Conclusion: Contract farming in Lampung has successfully increased coffee production through input assistance and access to technology. However, it has also increased production risks due to the incomplete implementation of contracts by farmers. To mitigate these risks, attention must be given to factors such as land area and labor, which have been proven to reduce production risks.Originality/value (State of the art): Contract farming in Lampung has shown great potential in increasing coffee production. However, the incomplete implementation of contracts by farmers has increased production risks. This study emphasizes the importance of risk management in contract farming. To enhance effectiveness, full implementation of contract terms and better risk management are necessary.
