Does Climate Change Adaptation Improve Technical Efficiency of Rice Farming? Findings From Yogyakarta Province Indonesia
Food security of the Indonesian population is threatened because climate change has the potential to reduce technical efficiency of rice production. To adapt and reduce these negative impacts, farmers implement climate change adaptation strategies. This study aims to determine how the effect of climate change adaptation on the technical efficiency of rice farming. Research data was collected through interviews with 112 rice farmers in Sleman Regency. We carried out two stages of analysis, namely stochastic frontier analysis to determine the production function and efficiency level, and tobit regression to determine the effect of adaptation strategy on technical efficiency. The findings indicate that most farmers use short-lived varieties and apply two types of adaptation strategies in one growing season. By increasing the number of adaptation strategies, the technical efficiency of rice farming will increase. These results have important policy implications for increasing the adoption of adaptation strategies by farmers. The government and farmers should collaborate to formulate adaptation strategy policies to provide farmers with a choice of adaptation strategies.

Determinant and Convergence of Fishers Term of Trade in Indonesia With Spatial Approach
This study aims to analyze the determinants and convergence of the Fishers Term of Trade (FiTT) and analyze government policies supporting increasing FiTT in Indonesia. The analysis used is the global moran index, dynamic spatial panel data regression, and descriptive analysis. The analysis results show spatial dependencies of FiTT with a clustered pattern. Provinces in quadrants III and IV in quadrant analysis indicate the need to evaluate government assistance policies. The determinants of FiTT in the short and long term are the CPI, government assistance, production value, and labor in the capture fisheries sub-sector. There is a convergence of provincial FiTT with a relatively high speed of 152 percent per year, assuming no significant external shocks exist. The time required to close half of the FiTT is 0,46 years. Policies can be carried out by encouraging programs to increase production, exports, and consumption of capture fisheries. They were maximizing the functions of the Central Information Control Team (CICT) and Local Information Control Team (LICT) in controlling the inflation of consumer goods in rural areas and maintaining the policy of subsidized fuel for small-scale fisheries. Maintain fish price stability at the fisherman\u27s level by strengthening the National Fish Logistic System (NFLS), accelerating the implementation of the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) for fishery commodities, and improving infrastructure that supports cold storage development, especially electricity availability. In addition, expanding the scope of the business area of PT Perikanan Indonesia and increasing its role as a logistics agency for fisheries.

Impact of Rice Production, Rice Supply And Rice Prices on Food Security in North Timor District
This research was conducted in North Central Timor District, with the aim of analyzing food security by making the variables of rice production, rice supply, and rice prices as indicators that have an impact on food security. The analytical approach used is quantitative analysis with the ordinary least square. The results of the research analysis show that rice production has a positive and significant effect on food security. The availability of rice affects food security. Meanwhile, the price of rice has no effect on food security. Rice is a basic need so that when there is a price change it does not affect food security in the community. From the results of this study, it is hoped that the local government will carry out an extensification and diversification program for agricultural land so that there will be more and more variety in preparing food security for the people as well as adding knowledge and references for writers related to food security for the people of North Central Timor.

Competitiveness of The Top 15 Main Export Destinations of Indonesia\u27s Natural Rubber for 1991–2020
This study aims to analyze the position and performance of Indonesia\u27s natural rubber exports in terms of the concept of comparative advantage in the market world. The data used in this study were sourced from UN Comtrade, which is processed with a 30-year data series (1991-2020) and is categorized into six periods. The analytical methods used are Structural Trend Ranking (STR), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), and X-Model. The results showed that 15 countries have consistently been the main Indonesian natural rubber market for 30 years. The RCA analysis showed that Indonesian natural rubber had strong competitiveness in all destination countries, except India in the first period. In contrast, the EPD analysis found that Indonesia\u27s rubber market position was not always static and competitive. There was shown in the period 2011-2015, the average position of Indonesia\u27s natural rubber market is in a market position that is not wanted to "retreat" in export destination countries. However, based on the X-Model results, the average Indonesian natural rubber is in a potential market position in all export destination countries in the 1991-2020 period.

The Exchange Rate Volatility Impact on Agricultural Trade: An Evidence From Indonesian Pepper Export
Pepper (Piper nigrum) is one of the most exported spices in Indonesia followed by cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla. Due to its strong dependency on international trade, Indonesian pepper exports are suspected to be prone to exchange rate volatility risks. Traditionally, exchange rate volatility is perceived to discourage exports. However, studies to date remain to provide an open question on whether volatile exchange rates discourage exports. This paper aims to examine the impact of exchange rate volatility on Indonesian pepper exports to its main trading partners from 2005 to 2019. Using gravity model and GARCH (1,1) for volatility measurement, the results reveal that Indonesian pepper exports are not affected significantly by exchange rate volatility. This is because Indonesia has been in the position as a net exporter of pepper where a majority of its production is consumed abroad and pepper only costs a small percentage of the total cost of food productions.

Determinants and Alternative Strategies in Improving The Financial Performance of Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia
This study is to examine the impact of internal and external factors on the profitability of Islamic commercial banks and to provide suitable solutions for enhancing their financial performance. This study utilizes original data collected from Islamic banking specialists that have experience, professionalism and a proven track record, as well as are true experts in their disciplines. Secondary data are gathered from the Financial Services Authority\u27s (OJK) annual report on the financial performance of Islamic banks in Indonesia for the period 2013-2020 and 2013-2020 macroeconomic data. Using qualitative descriptive, panel data regression, and Analytical Hierarchy Analysis (AHP), the data were evaluated. The results of the study indicate that Bank Muamalat is the bank with the worst performance, whereas BTPN Syariah is regarded as the most outstanding since it is the sharia bank with the best performance. Only BOPO and FDR have a substantial impact on the profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks (ROA), with BOPO having a negative impact and FDR having a favorable impact. Inflation and the BI Rate have no substantial impact on profitability as external factors. As the primary approach, Sharia commercial banks must improve services and develop business segmentation based on risk tolerance. Trust and capital are the most crucial aspects in the success of this strategy. Directors as top-level managers play a crucial role in setting the direction of business policies and objectives, whereas employees play a part in the successful implementation of strategies. The ultimate objective of this strategy is to enhance consumer confidence and maximize profitability.
