    Pegagan leaves and peppermint leaves contain antibacterial and refreshed breath so that the leaves of both these plants have the potential to be used as a mouthwash to prevent many conditions of the oral cavity including caries. One way to reduce the incidence of caries is to use mouthwash that can inhibit the growth of caries-causing bacteria, namely Streptococcus mutans. The use of chemical mouthwash many side effects. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate natural-based mouthwashes that can inhibit the growth of S. mutans with minimal side effects. This study aimed to proved the antibacterial power of the combination of pegagan leaf extract (Centella asiatica) and peppermint leaf (Mentha piperita) in inhibiting the growth of S. mutans. This study used the disc diffusion methode of 4 treatment groups (5%, 10%, 20% and 40% extract), positive control group (chlorhexidine), and negative control group (sterile akuades). Data were analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney test. The combination extract of pegagan (Centella asiatica) and peppermint (Mentha piperita) has an antibacterial effect and can inhibit the growth of S. mutans

    A diabetic foot ulcer is one of the complications of diabetes mellitus. The farmer is a job that is at risk of developing diabetic ulcers, especially farmers with diabetes. Farmers pay less attention to protecting their feet, so they risk foot trauma. This study aimed to describe the risk of diabetic foot ulcers in farmers. In this descriptive observational study in the working area of Community Health Center of Palengaan Pamekasan Madura, 76 farmers were selected by purposive sampling. All of the respondents were examined within low's 60-second diabetic foot instrument. The data were analyzed with univariate analysis. This study found that 72.4% of farmers had a moderate risk of developing diabetic ulcers and 11,8% of patients were at risk for severe foot ulcers. Most farmers are at high risk of developing diabetic foot ulcers.     Problems caused by burnout are very dangerous for workers, namely work stress that continues to increase, performance continues to decline and can even make workers experience physical and psychological disorders. Farmers must have positive thoughts about any problems they face by having the nature of resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and burnout on rice farmers in Ampel village, Wuluhan district. This study used a cross sectional design with sampling techniques using cluster random sampling with a sample of 80 rice farmers. Data  retrieval was done by resilience scale-14 questionnaire and MBI-GS questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the resistance experienced by farmers is 100% high, while burnout is obtained which is 55% low and 45% high. The results of bivariate analysis with the Pearson correlation obtained a p-value = 0,003 which means there is relationship between resilience and burnout on rice farmers in Ampel Village, Wuluhan district. The research results can be used as an evaluation especially for health services to be more care for rice farmers so they can improve health

    Farmers have a high risk to suffer psychological health pressure. The factors that cause farmers to have psychological pressure are limited land, the decrease in soil fertility, soil degradation, and natural causes. Farmers with high psychological health pressure can suffer stress. This research aimed to investigate the representation of Stress and the Farmers’ Coping Mechanism in Kalisat-Jember. The type of this research was descriptive and simple random sampling was chosen to collect the data sampling technique. 100 farmers were collected. The respondents were measured by using the farmers’ stress questionnaire and Brief farmers’ coping mechanism questionnaire COPE. The result of stress representation and farmer’s coping mechanism analysis showed that the number of farmer’s stress tends to be the cognitive response. Meanwhile, the result of the coping mechanisms showed that most of the farmer’s coping mechanisms were more focused on emotion rather than problems. The result of this study can be a reference for nurses and primary health care services to diagnose farmers’ health diseases, especially psychological diseases such as stress and coping mechanisms. Nurses can do preventive efforts, interventions, and health education about factors and symptoms of stress and coping mechanisms for the farmers

    Microleakage of Nanofiller Resin Composite, Glass Ionomer Cement and Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cement in Class V Cavities

    Class V cavity is cavity happened in a third of anterior or posterior teeth cervix that can be restored with resin composite, glass ionomer cement, and resin modified glass ionomer cement. Discoloration is often seen in the marginal of the filling that caused by microleakage. The purpose of the study is to find out aesthetic restoration microleakage in class V cavity. This study type is laboratory experimental research. There are 12 samples of maxillary premolar which were prepared for class V cavity. Group I restored with resin composite (n=4), group II restored with glass ionomer cement (n=4) and group III restored with resin modified glass ionomer cement (n=4). Furthermore, premolar teeth that have been filled soaked into methylene blue solution for 24 hours at 37°C. The microleakage value is measured based on the penetration depth of methylene blue solution at the marginal of the cavity. The average calculation of microleakage in sequence is resin modified glass ionomer cement, glass ionomer cement, and resin composite. The conclusions of this study prove that there is significant difference in microleakage value of each group samples.   Keyword: Class V cavity, Microleakage, Resin composite, Glass ionomer cement, Resin modified glass ionome

    Cognitive impairment is a health problem that causes a large economic burden for elderly families and the community. Cognitive decline is a serious threat to the independence and quality of life of the elderly. The aim of this research was to analysis the relationship the level of fitness and the cognitive function status of the elderly. This research design was observational analytic research with Cross Sectional approach. There were 76 respondents which obtained by used Simple Random Sampling technique. Data collection used 6-MWT (6-Minutes Walking Test) and MMSE (Mini Mental Status Exam). Data analysis using statistical correlation spearman test with a significance level of 0.05. Ethical approval were obtained with serial number 321 / UN25.8 / KEPK / DL / 2019. The results showed that the elderly had a good fitness levels about 52.3% and had a normal cognitive status function of 87.1%. The statistical test result showed that the p value is 0.001; r = 0.474, which means there is a significant relationship between the level of physical fitness and the status of cognitive function. Factors that influence the cognitive function status of the elderly by maintaining physical fitness that can increase serum BDNF concentration. Improving physical fitness can be done by exercising like walking with a frequency of more than 4 times a week, with a duration of 20-30 minutes/day

    Papaya fruit is generally marketed in a condition not yet ripe until past ripe. During the ripening process, the fruit undergoes changes such as increased sugar levels, changes in texture, changes in color on the skin and flesh of the fruit, changes in the rate of CO2 and ethylene production. Papaya fruit is declared rotten if it has a pH below 5.2. Methyl red (MR) indicator changes from red to yellow in the pH range (4.4 - 6.2) and bromocresol purple (BCP) has a pH of 5.2 (yellow) and a pH of 6.8 (purple). Papaya fruit stored at room temperature began to show rot on the 4th day accompanied by a change in the color of the smart bromocresol purple label to yellow, methyl red to red decreased in weight loss of 6.5332%, pH 4.85, hardness of 69.833 g / mm, and total dissolved solids 9.88% brik. At the temperature of the papaya fruit chiller stored for 9 days has shown foul on the 7th day with the same smart label color as room temperature, a decrease in weight loss of 6.4645%, pH 4.95, hardness of 83g / mm, and total dissolved solids 9.67% brik. The faster the color change of the smart label, the lower the quality of papaya on the packaging so that the fruit is not suitable for consumption

    Gambaran Activity of Daily Living pada pasien post operasi

    One of the most postoperative problems is limited movement. The impact of limited movement affects a person's dependence on doing activities of daily living (ADL). The purpose of this study was to determine the Activity of Daily Living Description of postoperative patients. This study is a descriptive research design. Samples were obtained using a consecutive sampling technique with a total of 57 respondents who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The instrument used in this study was the CDS questionnaire. The results of this study showed most of the respondents have partially dependent ADL (56,1%); the ADL of great extent care dependent was 31,6% and 1.8% postoperative patients in the category of completely care dependent. The ADL of mind care dependent was 7% and almost independent was 3,5%. Success in fulfilling ADL needs that can be done by patients independently will accelerate the recovery period and improve the quality of life for postoperative patients. Therefore the role of nurses is very important in fostering the independence of postoperative patients so that postoperative patient ADL dependence is reduced or is able to do ADL independently

          Sarisa Merapi is a micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) engaged in food processing such as candied snakefruit, snakefruit's juice, snakefruit's lunkhead, telang tea, and eggroll. Among these products, candied snakefruit is the most demanded product due to its sweet and fresh taste, and cheap. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the production process, sanitation application, and quality control of candied snakefruit products in Sarisa Merapi. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature study and documentation focused on preparing raw materials, processing and packaging. The production process of candied snakefruit includes sorting, stripping, cutting, soaking, washing, draining, boiling, draining, and packaging and storage. The observations found that the application of sanitation and hygiene in the production of candied snakefruit is quite good. However, some problems such as the condition of walls and floors were difficult to clean, workers did not routinely use aprons, and the production room did not have wall partitions to separate the spaces. These problems need to be addressed to minimize the negative impact on the products produced and also on consumers

    Farmers often experience fatigue due to excessive workload and working hours. People with excessive fatigue will have sleep difficulty. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on fatigue and sleep quality on rubber tapping farmers at PTPN XII Kalisanen Garden, Jember Regency. The design used is Quasy Experimental with a pretest and posttest design with control group design. The sampling technique was simple random sampling involving 40 farmers (20 respondents in the intervention group and 20 respondents in the control group). Data collection for fatigue using the Fatigue Severity Scale questionnaire and sleep quality using the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index questionnaire. The results of the effect of PMR on fatigue in the intervention and control groups using the independent t-test obtained results with of p-value 0,000 <0,05, which means that there was an effect of PMR on fatigue in the intervention and control groups. The results of the influence of PMR on sleep quality in the intervention and control groups using the Mann- Whitney test obtained results with of p-value 0,000 <0.05 which means that there was an effect of PMR on sleep quality in the intervention and control groups. PMR activates the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system that works mutually so that it can reduce muscle tension and make it easy to sleep. in conclusion, PMR can be used to reduce fatigue and can improve sleep quality
