Get PDFThe problem that is often faced by people with bipolar disorder is that they cannot control the emotions and feelings they feel because they do not know the cause and also how to cope or respond when patients experience both episodes. The purpose of this study is to identify problems associated with predisposing and precipitation factors in order to get the right diagnosis. The research design used in this study is a case study. Predisposing factors include biological factors, loss of objects, personality, learning, and behavior. Precipitation factors in patients include loss, life events, roles, and physiology. Diagnosis The problem is based on complaints experienced by patients and those closest to them, anxiety and low self-esteem. The intervention that has been done by researchers to patients or participants for several weeks the patient is quite independent. Efforts can be made to improve the health quality of patients themselves by providing psychoeducation and nursing interventions. Humans are a denial of depression, individuals who experience mania are dominated by id with few manifestations of the super ego until the individual experiences a cycle back to the normal state or depressive phase of bipolar disorder

Get PDFBullying behavior in adolescents is still found in the school environment. Introverted and Extroverted personality types can shape teenagers' behavior to risk bullying and shape their personality when they make friends or socialize. Bullying behavior causes bullies to experience problems in social interaction and a lack of empathy intensity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Introverted and Extroverted personality types on the risk of bullying behavior in adolescents at SMK Negeri 5 Jember. This research method used analytic observational with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study were 147 students of SMK Negeri 5 Jember and used the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The research was conducted online. Chi-Square test bivariate analysis (p<0.05). Introverted and Extroverted Personality Types Questionnaire and the Bullying Behavior Risk Questionnaire. The result was that 75 students (51%) were Extroverted personality types and had high risks of bullying. Adolescents with an extroverted personality type are more at risk of bullying because they easily socialize with peers and the surrounding environment and are more able to express themselves, so they often think bullying is just a joke. This study shows a value of 0.26 (p <0.05), which means there is a relationship between Introverted and Extroverted Personality Types on the Risk of Bullying Behavior

Get PDFPulmonary tuberculosis has become a world emergency disease, so it is necessary to treat TB transmission from patients. Therefore, knowledge about pulmonary TB itself is needed. In this case the nurse acts as an educator in the form of essential nursing care. The purpose of this study was to analyze the description of the role of nurses as educators based on the perceptions of pulmonary TB patients at the two Puskesmas Banyuwangi Regency and the characteristics of the patients. The method used is descriptive analysis method with a sample of 73 pulmonary tuberculosis patients and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire on the role of the nurse as an educator. The results showed that the role of nurses as educators 68.5% stated well, the average patient with a length of treatment of 4 months and an average age of 38 years. And the majority of patient education is high school, namely 43 patients. Most of the patients were 58.2% male and 78.1% of patients who did not have a family with pulmonary TB disease. Patients who have relapsed TB are 4% less than patients who have never had TB before, 94.5%. Pengetahuan dan Perilaku Masyarakat Batu Bara tentang Pencegahan Covid-19
Get PDFCoronaviruses can cause disease in humans and animals including covid-19, that can spread through droplets from the nose or mouth when coughing or sneezing. Therefore, knowledge and good community behaviour are needed in preventing Covid-19. The purpose of the study was to describe the knowledge and behavior of the Batu Bara community in preventing Covid-19. The research was carried out in August 2020 using an online platform in Batu Bara community. This is a quantitative descriptive method, with a cross sectional research design. The population is residents who live in Batu Bara. As many as 30 respondents were obtained by accidental sampling technique. It was found that the respondent's knowledge were 3 respondents (10%) had poor knowledge in preventing Covid-19. Meanwhile, 29 respondents (96.6%) used masks and hand sanitizers. 26 respondents (86.6%) used antibiotics and 27 respondents (90%) had controlling the environment using disinfectants to prevent Covid-19. Eventhough the covid19 case in Batu Bara was 0%, they still adhered to health protocols and used masks when going out. Good personal healthy life always takes precautions to be free from transmission of the Covid-19 virus, and those who have not behaved according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health in preventing Covid-19 should improve their behavior in order to suppress the spread of Covid-19 diseas

The challenge in the Tuberculosis control program in Indonesia is there are many undetected cases of tuberculosis and cases that have undetected and unreported. So, needs to change the case-finding approach from passive to intensive and active. The complexity of filling out TB forms by private doctors has resulted in the low notification of TB patients. So, I made an electronic system using a smartphone-based application, namely the Application Mandatory Notification (WiFi) of TB, which application is made simpler and easier. This study aims to describe the implementation of compulsory TB notification (WiFi) in the Public Health Office Jember District. This research uses descriptive research. The research sample was 2 TB officers. This research was analyzed using descriptive analysis. Mothers will experience increased anxiety when entering the third trimester, approaching delivery time. Anxiety has an impact, including feeling depressed and feeling uncomfortable, causing a decrease in sleep quality. The design used is descriptive correlation by measuring two variables, and the approach used is cross-sectional. Namely, the independent and dependent variables are carried out simultaneously. The population of this study were all pregnant women in their third trimester at the Bago Health Center. There were 84 populations, and the results of the sample calculation using the Lemeshow formula obtained 42 respondents. The sampling technique includes non-probability sampling. This study's results indicate a relationship between anxiety levels and sleep quality in third-trimester pregnant women at the Bago Health Center. The results of this study also show that anxiety levels have a strong relationship with sleep quality. The direction of the correlation in this study is negative, which means that if the level of anxiety is high, the quality of sleep is poor

Get PDFStroke could cause disability and death for sufferers. Stroke patients with family assistance have to maintain daily activities. Family of stroke patients who gives long-term care have experience problems especially depression. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between demographic characteristics and depression of family with stroke patient using cross sectional aprroach. The sampling technique was consecutive sampling with a total sample of 65 respondents determined using G*Power. The measuring instruments used demographic characteristic questionnaire and Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI II). This study found the prevalence of depression in families of stroke patients were 24 (36.9%) depressed and 41 (63.1%) not depressed. Moreover, there were no relation between characteristics (gender, age, education status, employment status, relationship with patients, stroke attack, duration of care) and depression in family with stroke patients (p>0.05). Depression could occur because of internal and external factors in a person depending on each person’s problem solving ability. Further research, should be conducted to examine the intervention of nursing that are appropriate for preventing the occurrence of depression in family of stroke patients

Get PDFTechnology is currently growing more rapidly. Gadgets are not only used by adults but also teenagers and children, especially during the pandemic. Learning activity is conducted online by using gadgets as media. Excessive use of gadgets can harm health, such as impaired vision. Disturbance of vision occurs, namely hypermetropia, myopia, computer vision syndrome (CVS), and asthenopia. A lack of knowledge about the impact of gadget use influences excessive gadget use behavior. This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge of the 7th-grade students on the impact of using gadgets on the eye at Junior High School 02 Jatiroto, Lumajang. The research used descriptive observational 83 respondents involved using a purposive sampling technique. Results showed that as many as 83.1% of students have an enough level of knowledge about the impact of the use of gadgets on the eye. Knowledge is influenced by education, age, interest, experience, work, the cultural environment, and information. Knowledge can be improved by providing information or health education. The study emphasizes the importance of the parent's supervision. It is expected that students use the gadget wisely

This disease often occurs in patients aged under five to children - children, usually lasts for several days, so that the body can lose important fluids such as water and salt needed for survival. Most patients die from diarrhea due to severe dehydration and fluid loss. This research was conducted to determine the pattern of drug prescription in pediatric diarrhea patients which includes the types and classes of drugs and how to administer the drug. The research method used was purposive sampling and using a retrospective descriptive approach. The sample of this study was diarrhea patients for children aged 0 months to 1 year who received treatment at the inpatient installation at RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo from January to December 2019. The treatment of diarrhea treatment included rehydration, antidiarrheal, antimicrobial, analgesic-antipyretic and other drug classes such as antacids, anticonvulsants and mucolytics. From 108 samples of pediatric diarrhea patients found 82 patients (75.96%) used antimicrobial drugs

Get PDFThe implementation of family-centered care in pediatric hospitals in developed countries has been well-standardized. But, in Indonesia, it can be implemented with the possibility to be realized ideally is not easy because of many health workers do not understand family-centered care properly. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Family Centered Care in toddler patients in inpatient rooms conducted by nurses. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach using a purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted at Kaliwates General Hospital, Jember Klinik Hospital and Elizabeth Situbondo Hospital Data collection was performed using a Family Centered Care questionnaire. Data Collection was carried out from September 2019 to December 2019. The study Participants were 98 families selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected techniques using in-depth interviews and documentation. The results showed that the majority of families (83.7%) were good. Nurses can be good counselors and educators in meeting the needs of families and children in the hospital to have a good cooperative relationship between family and nurses. Nurses can improve the quality of their services by understanding more deeply about family needs and strengths
