Diabetes Mellitus is metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia. Diabetic foot ulcer is serious complication in diabetic patients which can lead to lower extremity amputation. Therapeutic exercise walking is one of physical activities which can improve blood circulation in the body. This research aimed to analyze the effect of therapeutic exercise walking on the risk of diabetic foot ulcerin patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This research employed randomized control group pretest postest design. The sampling technique was simple random sampling involving 15 respondents as intervention group and 15 respondents as control group. Therapeutic exercise walking was done three times a week within a month with the duration of 40 minutes. The data were analyzed using dependent t test and independent t test with significant level of 0.05. The results revealed a significant difference between pretest and postest either in the intervention group (p=0.001) or control group (p=0.048). Furthermore independent t test showed a significant difference between intervention group and control group (p=0.015). This result indicates that there is a significant effect of therapeutic exercise walking on the risk of diabetic foot ulcer. Nurse is expected to apply therapeutic exercise walking to prevent diabetic foot ulcer in diabetes mellitus patients. Keywords: type 2 diabetes mellitus, therapeutic exercise walking, risk of diabetic foot ulce

Analisis Nilai Laju Endap Darah pada Pasien Sindrom Koroner Akut dan Stable Angina di RSD dr. Soebandi Jember (The Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate Analysis in Acute Coronary Syndrome and Stable Angina Patients at dr. Soebandi General Hospital)
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is non-specific blood tests that can be used as a marker of chronic inflammation. Some proteins that affect the erythrocyte sedimentation rate are fibrinogen, lipoprotein, and immunoglobulins. These proteins elevate in patients with atherosclerosis and acute coronary syndrome. This study aimed to determine the relationship between erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome and stable angina at dr. Soebandi General Hospital Jember. This analytic observasional study using cross-sectional design. This study used 40 samples, divided into four groups; stable angina, UA, NSTEMI, and STEMI. The average value of ESR were 12,1mm/h, 20,7mm/h, 28,9mm/h, and 25,3mm/h for stable angina, UA, NSTEMI, and STEMI, respectively. Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistical test showed significant difference between groups(p=0.001). It indicated that there was relationship between erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the incidence of acute coronary syndrome and stable angina in dr. Soebandi General Hospital Jember.

Optimasi Sintesis Asam 3-benzamido-4-metil benzoat (Optimization Synthesis 3-benzamido-4-Methyl Benzoic Acid)
Benzoic acid derivative has been developed as new drugs that have antioxidant, antifungal, analgesic, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-herpes simplex virus activity. In this study, a new compound of benzoic acid derivative, 3-benzamido-4-methyl benzoic acid (3-BM) was synthesized by reacting 3-amino-4-methyl benzoic acid with benzoyl chloride. This study used benzoylation reaction with Schotten-Baumann method. Temperature, time, and TLC mobile phase were needed to be optimized to make optimum condition, so the synthetis reaction can be done. The reaction time was 24 hours, the samples were taken at 1,2,3,4,5,6,12,24 hours then spotted on TLC plates and eluated with optimum eluent chloroform: ethyl acetate: acetic acid (100:5:1). 3-BM compound can be synthesized by benzoylation reaction with optimum synthesis condition at room temperature 25-27 °C and 2 hours reaction time.
