Aplikasi Label Pintar Edible dari Ekstrak Antosianin Ubi Jalar Ungu (Ipamoea Batatas L.) untuk Monitoring Kesegaran Sayuran Cabai Hijau (Capsicum Annuum L.)
Vegetable products are foods that are popular with many people. One vegetable product such as green chili is a vegetable commodity that cannot be abandoned by society in daily life. This was followed by demands for quality of green chili products. so that an analytical tool is needed that can analyze the freshness of green chili easily and practically. This study aims to develop an edible freshness sensor based on anthocyanin indicators from purple sweet potato extract (Ipomoea batatas L.) with a membrane mixture of cassava starch and chitosan. The edible freshness sensor can be applied as a freshness sensor and know the freshness level of green chili with various parameters. Tests for green chili freshness test included pH test, weight loss, texture value, and sensory evaluation test. The color change of the edible freshness sensor was observed visually and tested using the ImageJ program to determine the mean green value. The results show the color change of the freshness sensor is dark purple when the green chili is fresh, the light purple is still fresh and the light green is no longer fresh or rotten. The mean value of the green sensor for edible freshness increased along with the decline in the quality of green chili in the packaging.

Efektivitas Alat Sikat Gigi Otomatis Wall Mounted untuk Disabilitas pada SLB di Jember terhadap Indeks Kebersihan Mulut
Disability is a person with disabilities who has physical, mental, intellectual, sensory, and some motor disorders. Disabilities that have motor impairments are blind, mentally retarded, and disabled so they need an automatic wall-mounted toothbrush in cleaning teeth and mouth. A wall-mounted toothbrush is an innovative tool for blind, mentally disabled, and disabled people to be able to brush their teeth independently. The aim is to determine the effectiveness of automatic wall-mounted toothbrushes in children with disabilities, especially in the visually impaired, mentally retarded, and disabled. The study was conducted by pre-experimental method (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) in SLB disabled people in Jember with 56 people, 17 people with visual impairment, 36 mental retardations, and 3 disabled people. The results of the study carried out a paired sample t-test showed a significance value (p <0.05) in the blind and mentally retarded while the significance value (p> 0.05) in the disabled. The conclusion of the study is that this tool is effective in the blind and mentally retarded but is less effective in the disabled
Tabel Prediksi Moyers dan Sitepu terhadap Lebar Mesiodistal Gigi Permanen Pengganti pada Etnis Arab Yaman di Surabaya
There are several methods of analizing tooth size discrepancy in orthodontics include prediction methods for mixed dentition. Prediction method of Moyers and Sitepu most commonly used although both were obtained from 2 different races, Caucasian and Deutromelayu. Yemeni ethnic is one of the ethnic groups settled in Indonesia which descendants of the Caucasian race. The aim of the study was to observed the suitable prediction table for Yemeni ethnic. It was an observasional analitics study consist of 40 samples with cross sectional design. The results showed that slight difference for prediction of Moyers on the maxilla (1.02) and prediction of Sitepu on the mandibula (0.11). As conclusion, the most suitable predicition method for Yemeni ethnic is Moyers’s method for maxila and sitepu’s method for mandibula.

Gambaran Distres Psikologis pada Petani Tembakau Di Kecamatan Kalisat Kabupaten Jember
Serious problems experienced by tobacco farmers are narrowing land area, decreasing land fertility, degradation of agricultural land, pest attacks, inappropriate fertilization to tobacco plants, weather and crop failure. Those problems posed the tobacco farmers at risk of psychological distress. This study aimed to analyze psychological distress in tobacco farmers in Kalisat, Jember. The design of this study was descriptive analysis with cluster sampling and proportional sampling techniques. The population of this study was tobacco farmers, as many as 91 (CI = 90%). The research instruments were the 42 Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale questionnaires (DASS 42) (Cronbach's Alpha 0.776; 0.931; 0.803). The results showed that tobacco farmers had the highest anxiety (73.6%), stress (26.4%), and depression (11%). Psychological distress in farmers is manifested in the form of worries and fears of work which is generally due to instability from the work of farmers
An Optimasi Polivinil Pirolidon dan Kitosan dalam Sediaan Mucoadhesive Buccal Film Diltiazem HCl
Diltiazem HCl adalah golongan benzoatiazepin penghambat kanal kalsium (calcium channel blocker) yang digunakan dalam pengobatan angina pektoris, aritmia, dan hipertensi. Diltiazem HCl mengalami first pass metabolism di hati, waktu paruh yang pendek yakni 3-5 jam dan bioavailabilitas diltiazem pada pemberian oral sekitar 40%. Sediaan mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl melepaskan obat ke mukosa buccal sehingga dapat menghindari first pass metabolism karena absorpsinya melalui sistem vena yang mengalir dari pipi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh polimer polivinil pirolidon (PVP) dan kitosan terhadap swelling index, waktu tinggal dan kekuatan mucoadhesive diltiazem HCl dalam sediaan mucoadhesive buccal film diltiazem HCl. Sediaan film dilakukan evaluasi swelling index, kekuatan mucoadhesive dan waktu tinggal mucoadhesive. Jumlah optimum untuk PVP adalah 1 mg dan kitosan sebesar 25 mg. Kombinasi polimer dengan jumlah tersebut dapat menghasilkan swelling index, kekuatan mucoadhesive, dan waktu tinggal mucoadhesive yaitu 3,641; 63,867 gF; dan 352,667 menit dan nilai desirability tertinggi yaitu 0,727.

Aktivitas Membran Bakiko (Bayam-Kitosan-Kolagen) terhadap Ekspresi Matriks Metaloproteinase-9 pada Luka Bakar Derajat II
Matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) plays an important role in regulating the degradation and deposition extracellular matrix (ECM) that are important for wound reepithelization. However, excessive protease activity can lead to delayed wound healing. Kaemferol in spinach can inhibit the activity of MMP-9. Chitosan and collagen can help tissue growth and have an antimicrobial effect. Chitosan-collagen membranes have been widely used for wound healing but, the results are unsatisfactory. Therefore, the researcher wanted to know the activity of bakiko (Spinach-Chitosan-Collagen) membrane to MMP-9 expression on second degree burn with immunohistochemical method. This research was true-experimental laboratories design with post test only control group design. The experimental animals used were 36 white wistar rats (Rattus novergicus) male, divided into 4 groups ie control group, negative control, positive control (bioplacenton), and treatment (bakiko membrane). Data were obtained by calculating MMP-9 using ImageJ software. The analysis using anova test showed that p value less than 0.05 indicated a significant difference. This study showed that there was a decrease in MMP-9 activity by bakiko membrane in grade II burn with immunohistochemical method in wistar rats
Pengaruh Aplikasi Gliserin pada Kekerasan Resin Komposit Nanofiller dengan Perendaman Cuka Apel
Composite resin is a type of filling material that is often used because it has good bonds with dentine and enamel and has a high aesthetic value. Nanofiller composite resin has high hardness, good polishing, color accuracy, and good translucency. The hardness of composite resins can change caused by low pH beverage. Purpose: To determine the differences in effect of glycerin application on hardness of nanofiller composite resins with immersion of apple cider vinegar. The type of research used was experimental laboratories with a pretest and post test group design. Samples were 24 immersion in apple vinegar for 60 and 120 minutes. Measurement of hardness using the Vicker Hardness Tester to determine the hardness value. Data analysis was performed using One Way Anova and Post-Hoc LSD tests.There is a significant difference in the value of composite resin hardness in the entire study group. The highest hardness value was found in the group with the application of glycerin and without immersion, while the lowest value was found in the group without the application of glycerin and immersion in 120 minutes
Efek Air Kelapa Hijau (Cocos Nucifera Linn Var. Viridis) Sebagai Obat Kumur Terhadap Perubahan pH Saliva Anak Usia 12 Tahun
Latar belakang: Masalah utama kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak ialah karies gigi. Karies gigi merupakan suatu penyakit yang kompleks, yang diawali dengan adanya asam yang akan menghancurkan mineral-mineral gigi. Asam yang diproduksi mempengaruhi mineral gigi sehingga menjadi sensitif pada pH rendah. Ketika pH turun menjadi di bawah 5,5, proses demineralisasi menjadi lebih cepat dari remineralisasi. Hal ini menyebabkan lebih banyak mineral gigi yang luluh dan membuat lubang pada gigi. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk mengurangi masalah gigi ini dengan meningkatkan pH saliva yang bersifat asam. Salah satu cara yang digunakan adalah kontrol plak yaitu secara mekanik dan kimiawi Tujuan: Mengetahui efek penggunaan air kelapa hijau (Cocos nucifera Linn Var. Viridis) sebagai obat kumur terhadap pH saliva anak usia 12 tahun. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimental laboratoris dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Eksperimental : Controlled-Group Design dengan metode purposive sampling di Pondok pesantren Nurul Islam Jember sebanyak 27 orang. Hasil dan Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setelah berkumur dengan air kelapa hijau (Cocos nucifera Linn Var. Viridis) terdapat perubahan yaitu terjadi penurunan pH saliva anak usia 12 tahun.

Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak Metanol dan Fraksi Daun Kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth) terhadap Salmonella typhi
The leaves of kenikir are known to have many benefits, one of which can be used as medicine. Kenikir leaves are reported to have antibacterial activity against the bacteria Salmonella typhi (S.typhi). S. typhi is a bacterium that causes typhoid fever. Typhoid fever is still an endemic disease in Asian countries, especially Indonesia. Typhoid fever became the third largest disease in Indonesia in 2010. The study related to the antibacterial activity of kenikir leaf fraction to S. typhi has never been reported. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research related to the antibacterial activity of extracts and leaf fractions of kenikir to compare their potential against S. typhi. The study was conducted using the disk diffusion method using 5 series of concentrations namely 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 30%. Tests were carried out on methanol extract, hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol-water fraction. The results showed that highest inhibition zone diameter is 7,75 mm which is reached by methanol extract. The order of the highest inhibiting zone diameter are extract, hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol-water fraction
Hubungan Antara Status Gizi, Usia Menarche dengan Kejadian Dysmenorrhea Primer pada Remaja Putri di SMPN 3 Jember
Dysmenorrhea primer merupakan masalah gangguan menstruasi seperti kram dibagian bawah perut yang menjalar ke punggung atau kaki dan terjadi pada tahun pertama atau lebih setelah mengalami menstruasi dan dapat dirasakan pada 24 jam pertama menstruasi dan dapat bertahan sampai 48-72 jam. Remaja wanita yang mempunyai status gizi tidak normal dan usia menarche dini akan berdampak pada kejadian dysmenorrhea primer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Hubungan Antara Status Gizi, Usia Menarche dengan Kejadian Dysmenorrhea Primer pada Remaja Putri di SMPN 3 Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 445 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 82 orang. Hasil uji statistic menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan usia menarche (p= 0,000), terdapat hubungan antara status gizi dengan dysmenorrhea primer (p= 0,042) dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan dysmenorrhea primer (p= 0,913
