    Manajemen Penanganan Covid-19: Studi Kualitatif pada Tenaga Kesehatan di Puskesmas Jember Kidul, Jember

    Healthcare providers (HCPs) at public health centers have a huge role at the frontline, especially in preventive and promotive efforts during this COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of COVID-19 among HCPs at the Jember Kidul Public Health Center (PHC) of Jember regency regarding the seventh pillar of World Health Organization (WHO) standards for the management of COVID-19 using descriptive phenomenology was performed among HCPs who handled for management of COVID-19 at PHC. Data were saturated among five of HCPs. Data were analyzed using the Colaizzi approach. The result described seven themes, including preparation of logistics, staff PHC for facing the COVID-19 pandemic, clinical management of COVID- 19 at the PHC, PHC treatment for risk and comorbid patients, Monitoring self-care at home, financing of PHC for services COVID-19, and caring for a vulnerable population. Therefore case management for the treatment of COVID-19 is vital for identifying and evaluating appropriate management for infectious disease eradication programs at PHC

    Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a plant from Lamiaceae family that has the potential for typhoid fever treatment. Basil essential oil is a hydrophobic compound being difficult to dissolve in the gastrointestinal tract. SNEDDS is one system that can solve this problem. The vital components of SNEDDS are surfactants and cosurfactants to increase the stability of the SNEDDS system by forming small droplets. This research determines the best composition of Tween 80 and Propylene glycol (PG), which can form nanoemulsion spontaneously in the gastrointestinal tract with a droplet size of nanometers. This research used a factorial design method to observed responses transmittance and emulsification time. Response transmittance and emulsification time then analyzed using Design Expert 11.0 to determine the optimum formula of SNEDDS basil essential oil. The optimum formula of SNEDDS basil essential oil obtained was a formula with a composition of 2.05 mL of Tween 80 and 1.35 mL of Propylene glycol. The optimum formula characterization test results showed a pH value of 7.01 ± 0.007; particle size 46.1 ± 0.61 nm; polydispersity index 0.46 ± 0.016. The antibacterial activity test optimum formula showed the ability to inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhi bacteria with an inhibition zone diameter of 20.50 ± 0.59 mm

    Diapers merupakan alat yang berupa popok sekali pakai berdaya serap tinggi yang terbuat dari plastik dan campuran bahan kimia untuk menampung sisa-sisa metabolisme seperti air seni dan feses. Diapres masuk dalam limbah bahan berbahaya dan beracun yang disebut limbah B3. Limbah B3 adalah sisa suatu usaha atau kegiatan yang mengandung B3. Penggunaan diapers dewasa pada orang tua dan orang dengan gangguan jiwa yang tidak memiliki kesadaran dan mengalami pelemahan fisik banyak digunakan sebagai alternatif kontrol kemih, sebanyak 42,3% orang yang dirawat dirumah sakit yang mengalami penurunan mobilitas, kemampuan fisik dan kesadaan menggunakan diapers dewasa sebagai alternatif kontrol kemih dalam proses perawatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran petugas lingkungan pondok sosial (LIPOSOS) dalam pengelolaan diapers pada klien ODGJ di UPTD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 5 responden penelitian dalam pengelolaan diapers di UPTD. LIPOSOS  yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara penimbunan, penguburan dan pembakaran. Sehingga dari penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa belum ada pengelolalan secara baik dan benar mengenai pengolahan diapers di UPTD. LIPOSOS.     Food sanitation hygiene has been done to control food factor, people, place and tools in order to prevent cross contamination between food and eater. Household food industry must possess household food industry certificate or SPP-IRT to aid supervision by involved parties. The aim of this research was to discover food sanitation hygiene and analysis P-IRT number on red-coloring crackers at Kepanjen Market in Malang. Thisresearch is descriptive research with observation and interview methods to cracker industry workers and there were 12 kinds of red-coloring crackers distributed around Kepanjen Market. The research used univariant analysis to describe variable of those which were observed. This research it was found that there were three stages in cracker making process, Food sanitation hygiene, and P-IRT number on red-coloring crackers. From this research there were 3 of respondents around < 40 years old, all respondents in secondary education, and 2respondents had < 3 years of working period. The application of food hygiene and sanitation of cracker industry in Malang Regency was categorized as relatively good. There were 7 red-coloring crackers traded at Kepanjen Market were qualified as what had been standardized by BPOM  number 22 year 2020. Meanwhile, there were 4 products were not updated and 1 product was not qualified

    Basil (Ocimum basilica) contains active compounds of essential oils that have volatile properties, so it will affect its antibacterial activity. SNEDDS was chosen as a delivery system to increase essential oil stability. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tween 80 concentration, propylene glycol, and their interactions in VCO on SNEDDS of basil leaf oil on response and to determine the antibacterial activity with optimum characteristics. Optimization of tween 80 and propylene glycol was conducted using the VCO oil phase with a factorial design method using design expert software 11 with the response used, namely% transmittance and emulsification time. Verification and characterization were carried out including organoleptic, pH, particle size, particle distribution, then tested for antibacterial activity. The results showed that an increase of tween 80 concentration and a decrease of propylene glycol would increase the transmittance value and decrease the emulsification time. There was no interaction effect between the two. Prediction software design expert 11 showed optimum formula with a clear yellow color appearance, the distinctive odor of basil oil, has an average pH of 6.81 ± 0.03, an average particle size of 19.7 ± 0.16 nm, a particle distribution with an average PDI average of 0.163 ± 0.05. The optimum formula with a concentration of 30 μl has activity against S. thypi with an average inhibition zone diameter of 17.21 ± 1.01 mm

    Bacteria that are often found in cases of pulp necrosis and root canal treatment are Enterococcus faecalis. Elimination of microorganisms in the root canal can use intracanal medicament. The intracanal medicament can be used from antibiotics such as amoxicillin. The antibacterial power of amoxicillin can be increased by combination with vitamin C to prevent resistance. This research aimed to determine the zone of inhibition of vitamin C and amoxicillin against Enterococcus faecalis. The method used in this study is well diffusion method. Inhibition is shown through the clear zone around the wellbore at 24 hours, 48 ​​hours, 72 hours after incubation. The number of research samples is 16 consisted of 4 groups consisting of amoxicillin, vitamin C, a combination of vitamin C and amoxicillin, and 3 MIX MP. The data were tested by non-parametric statistical analysis Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney. The result showed that vitamin C and amoxicillin's antibacterial activity as alternative material intracanal medicament is equivalent to antibacterial 3 MIX MP

    The use of plants as a traditional medicine in the modern era is still in high demand. One of the herbs commonly used by Indonesian is analgesic herbal medicine. The safety aspect of herbal medicine should be considered, such as heavy metal contamination. Mercury is the typical heavy metal found in polluting herbal plants. The maximum mercury level allowed in a medicinal preparation has been regulated by BPOM RI, as much as ≤ 0.5 ppm. A high level of mercury contamination causing toxic effects on the body due to protein precipitation, which inhibits enzyme activity and acts as a corrosive material. A technology that allows the detection of mercury is a chemical sensor. The strip test is optimal if the reagent 1-(2-thiazolyl azo)-2-naphthol (TAN) concentration at 1000 ppm and the sample has been confirmed at pH 7. The results of the strip test characterization showed that the response time was in the range of minutes 17 to 24, the use time of the test strips for 28 days if stored in room temperature and 29 days if stored at in refrigerator temperature, linearity with r = 0.998, Vx0 = 3.96%, p-value = 0.00000172, LOD = 0.102 ppm and LOQ = 0.306 ppm, interference value <5%, precision with RSD 6.54%, and accuracy with the value of % recovery 98.007%. T-test analysis showed p= 0.872, meaning no significant difference between the application of TAN-based test strips with the ICP-AES method

    A biosensor is an alternative method to determine the antihyperlipidemic activity to be more simple, effective, and efficient in various herbal extracts. This study aimed to develop a biosensor with the principle of pancreatic lipase enzyme inhibition in paper microzone plates using Whatman filter paper for the matrix, 200 unit/mL of lipase enzyme solution, 1% extract, and 80 mM p-NPB substrate. This paper-based biosensor method shows results that fulfilled the several characterizations, that are the 30 min of the incubation time; linearity using 7 standards orlistat concentrations of 5-35 mg/mL with the regression equation of Y= 22.09585 + 2.170514X, correlation coefficient value (r)= 0.9996745, Vx0= 1.509906%, Xp= 1.572533 mg/mL; LOD and LOQ are 1,573 mg/mL and 4,718 mg/mL; precision with RSD value of 2.545%; accuracy with % recovery value of 99.222%; biosensor usage time after storage remained stable for 3 days at chiller temperatures and for 45 minutes at room temperature. The paper-based biosensor can be an alternative method for detecting antihyperlipidemic activity in plant extracts as same as UV-Vis spectrophotometry method

    The first cause of maternal death in East Java is caused by preeclampsia. The impact of preeclampsia can be physiological and psychological. The other impact is driven by the lack of social support like husbands’ support, families, friends, and the environment, which could worsen mothers’ preeclampsia. Social support can encourage pregnant women with preeclampsia to overcome stress, anxiety, and depression. The study was to describe the social support of pregnant women with preeclampsia at dr. Abdoer Rahem hospital Situbondo. This study used a descriptive-analytic study with a total sample of 60 pregnant women with preeclampsia. The instrument in this study used a Medical Outcomes Study: Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS) questionnaire consisting of 19 questions. Data analysis in this study used univariate analysis. The results of this study indicate that the value of social support in 60 respondents is in a moderate condition (51.7%). This case requires good social support to motivate mothers to improve their health status. In increasing social support, the relations of pregnant women with preeclampsia are included in giving health care workers information and education

    Hubungan Tingkat Kecemasan dengan Kualitas Tidur pada Mahasiswa Baru Luar Pulau Jawa Universitas Jember

    New students have anxiety because of new social and cultural conditions. Excessive anxiety will make it difficult for a person to start sleeping, so it can cause bad sleep habits. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between anxiety levels and sleep quality in new students outside Java. The study design used correlative research with a cross-sectional approach and used the total sampling technique for 103 respondents. Data collection used the Zung Self Rating Anxiety Scale (ZRAS) questionnaire and the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI). Data analysis using the Spearman’s Correlation test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the respondents who had the most moderate anxiety were 69 people (67.0%), and those who had poor sleep quality were 91 people (88.3%). There is a significant relationship between anxiety and sleep quality in new students outside Java (p-value 0,000; r = 0.453), which has a positive relationship or the higher the level of anxiety, the worse the quality of sleep. New students must be able to control anxiety experienced not to affect the quality of their sleep
