    No full text
This study aims to enhance the reading comprehension skills of 13 fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Triwarno by implementing the cooperative learning model. Teams Games Tournament (TGT). The students' low reading skills were initially attributed to monotonous conventional teaching methods, which made it difficult for them to concentrate and led to boredom, particularly with long narrative texts. This classroom action research used observation, interviews, documentation, and tests for data collection. The pre-action results showed an average score of 54, with only 23% classical completeness. After the TGT implementation, the average score increased to 69 in the first cycle and 83 in the second cycle. The classical completeness also improved significantly, from 69% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle. This increase proves that the TGT model is effective in improving students' reading comprehension outcomes and skills, as well as creating a collaborative and engaging learning environment

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) method and the mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The study population was grade II students of SDN 200117 Padangsidimpuan, with samples selected randomly. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure the application of the CPA method and a mathematics learning outcome test. The results of the study showed a positive and significant relationship between the application of the CPA method and students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results of the Pearson correlation test output obtained that the significance number for the relationship between the use of the CPA method and students' mathematics learning outcomes was 0.000. This means that the Sig. value (=0.000) <α (=0.05) so that there is sufficient evidence to make a decision that there is a significant relationship between the use of the CPA method and elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes. The closeness of the relationship between the CPA method and students' mathematics learning outcomes is at a Pearson Correlation figure of 0.866. Thus, it can be interpreted that there is a strong positive relationship between the use of the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) method and students' mathematics learning outcomes

This study aims to determine the influence of the Discovery Learning model integrated with differentiated instruction on the analytical skills of fifth-grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at SD Negeri 2 Wonosobo. The background highlights the importance of 21st-century skills, particularly analytical skills essential for facing globalization challenges. Initial observations indicated varied and suboptimal analytical abilities among students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving two classes: the experimental group taught with the Discovery Learning model integrated with differentiated instruction and the control group utilizing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments of analytical skills. Results indicate a significant improvement in analytical skills in the experimental group, with an average posttest score of 85.81 compared to 77.21 in the control group. The highest influence was observed among auditory learners, followed by kinesthetic and visual learners. These findings affirm the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model integrated with differentiated instruction in enhancing students' analytical skills. Recommendations are provided for implementing this model in elementary school education.

Abstract. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the outdoor study method in enhancing ecological intelligence in the cognitive aspect among fifth-grade elementary school students in Adiwiyata schools in Laweyan District. While outdoor learning is known to promote environmental awareness, its impact on cognitive ecological understanding remains underexplored in the elementary context. One experimental class used outdoor study as part of a quasi-experimental design, whereas the control class used traditional classroom instruction.  The Wilcoxon signed-rank test, Mann-Whitney U test, and effect size calculation were used to examine the data, which were gathered utilizing pretests, posttests, and N-Gain analysis.  The experimental group's posttest scores significantly outperformed the control group, according to the results, which also indicated a larger effect size and higher N-Gain score.  These results imply that outdoor study enhances students' ecological cognitive abilities more than traditional approaches. However, successful implementation requires contextual learning activities and active engagement with the local environment. The study reinforces the importance of experiential learning in fostering meaningful understanding of environmental issues in early education

This study aims to examine the impact of gamification on students' perceived enjoyment in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at elementary schools in the Ahmad Yani Cluster, Laweyan District. This study was motivated by the observation that students often find the learning of IPAS less interesting, which leads to low perceived enjoyment. This study used a quantitative quasi-experimental approach involving fourth-grade students. SDN Dukuhan Kerten served as the experimental group, while SDN Tegalrejo served as the control group. To measure students' perceived enjoyment, data were collected through a questionnaire. Our findings indicate a significant positive effect between gamification and perceived enjoyment. The calculated t-value exceeds the table t-value, so the null hypothesis is rejected. In addition, the N-Gain test showed an increase in the experimental class, while the control class remained in the low category. In conclusion, this study shows that gamification is effective in increasing students' perceived enjoyment. This also has practical implications, encouraging educators to use this approach. The implementation of gamification can increase students' motivation, engagement, and perceived enjoyment in IPAS
