    Critical thinking skills, 7e learning cycle model, science of elementary school

    This study aimed to improve student’s critical thinking skills in water cycle material and human activities that influence it by applying the learning cycle model 7e. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted for two cycles. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD N Pajang II Surakarta in 2018/2019 which amounted to 24 students. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, tests and documentation. The validity test using triangulation. While the analysis of this research data uses an interactive data analysis model by Miles-Huberman. The initial conditions indicate that students' critical thinking skills are 8.34% classically. The results obtained from the first cycle of action in the first learning were 21.74% classically, the second learning increased to 30.44% classically, and the third lesson increased to 40.91% classically. The study continued to the second cycle in the first learning increased to 56.53%, the second learning increased to 77.27% classically, and the third learning had reached 86.96% classically

    Abstract. The purpose of research design was to improve the understanding about concepts the struggle to defend Indonesia's independence by applying Group Invetigation models. Two cycles was used in this research design amount teacher and 5th grade of primary school of SD N Pulisen Boyolali conduct of 35 students as the subject research. The data collecting techniques were test, observation, interview, and documentation. And the analyze data used interactive technique. The average score of class before action (pre-cycle) is 31, in cycle 1 the average score increase become improves 64,8, and in cycle 2 increase 75,1. The conclusion was drawn that applying GI model can work up the understanding about concepts the struggle to defend Indonesia's independence in 5th grade of primary school of SD N Pulisen Boyolali 2018/2019.Keywords: Group Investigation, understanding about concepts, the struggle to defend Indonesia's independence, Elementary School

    Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR). Model pembelajaran ini dapat melatih peserta didik memecahkan masalah secara mandiri.Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dua siklus dengan 6 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas III A SD Negeri Danukusuman Surakarta tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 21 peserta didik. PTK ini terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: 1) perencanaan; 2) pelaksanaan; 3) observasi; dan 4) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik, dan validitas isi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif.Hasil penelitian tentang pra-tindakan menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan klasikal keterampilan pemecahan masalah sebesar 23,80%. Siklus pertama meningkat menjadi 57,14% secara klasikal dan siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 85,71% secara klasik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase kentuntasan klasikal. Maka dari itu, keterampilan pemecahan masalah soal cerita bangun datar dapat meningkat melaui penerapan model pembelajaran Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR)

    Abstract. After conducting the result of interview and obervation, the researcher found that student’s mathematical performance is still not good. This study aims to describe student’s error according to Newman’s Error Analysis in solving word problem of geometry. This research used a qualitative approach with case study design and purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through diagnostic problem solving test and interview of fourth grade students in SDN 02 Gedongan. The results of this research showed that the most error made are in process skill and the fewest error made are in comprehension. Students in all categories did three types of error in solving word problem of geometry that were transformation, process skill, and encoding error.     The purpose of this study was to improve social skills in social studies learning through the Team Games Tournament model and implement Team Games Tournament in the social skills of V students in Setono Elementary School no.95. PTK is carried out in two cycles, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Setono No.95, Laweyan, Surakarta in the Academic Year 2018/2019, which totaled 33 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data uses content validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation. the first cycle of communication aspect score 2.7 increased to 3.05 in the second cycle. Interaction aspects score 2.87 to 3.12 in cycle II. The collaboration score is 2.9 to 3.12 in cycle II. The implementation of TGT in improving social skills includes (a) Class Presentations; (B) group; (c) Games; (d) Tournaments; (e) group awards. It can be concluded that the TGT learning model improves students' social skills in social studies subjects in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Setono No.95 Laweyan, Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year

    The purpose of the research is to improve the understanding of the concept about comparing simple fractions with the application of model pair checks. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted for two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques are using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity test techniques are using content validity, source and technical triangulation. Data analysis technique used is an interactive model. The results showed the average value of the pre-action class score of 55,55 (14,28%), in the first cycle the average value increased to 73,55 (61,90%), and second cycle the average value increased to 80,93 (90,48%). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that through the application of model pair checks can improve the understanding of the concept about comparing simple fractions for third grade of SDN Asinan 2, Bawen, Semarang in the academic year 2018/2019.Keywords : concept understanding, comparing simple fractions, and model pair check
