Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to describe the discipline of learning social studies with the theme of the beauty of togetherness and the constraints of discipline in learning online during the COVID-19 pandemic for 4 grade students of elementary school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The research design used is a type of case study field research. Sources of data in this study were students, parents, and class IV teachers at elementary school. Techniques for data collection in this study used questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The data validity test was used source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis of Miles and Huberman's model. Discipline in social studies with the theme of the beauty of togetherness shows moderate category results with indicators of discipline following online learning, discipline in doing assignments, discipline in studying at home, discipline in managing time at home. Discipline learning constraints, namely the constraints of implementing learning carried out at home instead of school and obstacles to learning online only have limited time. The results of the research can add to their treasures and as a reference for students' online learning discipline during the COVID-19 pandemic

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the profile of misconceptions based on the Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) learning style regarding students' understanding of fractions and the causes of misconceptions in the fifth grade of SD Negeri Wonosri. This research is a qualitative research method. The research subjects were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Wonosri. Data collection techniques are learning style tests, fractional material tests, interviews with teachers, and interviews with students. The validity of the data using technical triangulation techniques. Data analysis used descriptive analysis techniques. The research procedure is the initial preparation, the research implementation stage, the data processing stage, and the data presentation.The results showed that two research subjects who had a visualization learning style experienced systematic misconceptions and numeracy misconceptions. Two research subjects who have an auditory learning style experience systematic and translation misconceptions. Two other research subjects have a kinesthetic learning style experiencing systematic misconceptions. Factors causing students to experience misconceptions are preconceptions, lack of understanding of concepts, low interest in learning, teacher teaching methods that are too fast, lack of understanding of steps, students' associative thinking.Key Words: misconception, fraction material, learning style, and elementary schoo

Get PDFThis study aims to: (1) describe the barriers to the online learning process in social studies subjects experienced by teachers and students of grade-V SD Negeri 1 Krasak Boyolali, (2) describe solutions in overcoming the barriers of teachers and students in the online learning process at grade-V social studies subjects at SD Negeri 1 Krasak Boyolali. This study is a qualitative descriptive study. Research subjects include V-grade teachers, 10 V-grade students, principals. Data collection is conducted using passive participating observation techniques, document analysis and in-depth interviews. The validity test technique used is triangulation of methods and data sources. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. The results of the research that have been carried out are that the obstacles that occur in the learning process are in the planning of teachers not making lesson plans because of the difficulty in preparing media and methods so that they use offline lesson plans. Barriers in the implementation of the application used, internet connection, implementation of media, implementation of methods, delivery of materials, facilities, assignments. Barriers to attitude assessment because teachers cannot meet directly with students. It can be concluded that in online learning, there are obstacles in the planning, implementation, and assessment.. So there are solutions to overcome obstacles by establishing communication between teachers regarding technology in online learning, the role of parents in supporting online learning activities, the time gap in task collection, the same assessment system.

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe the learning motivation of fifth grade elementary school students in describing advertising exposure information. This study used qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were seven fifth grade students at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis used is an interactive analysis model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that students with low learning motivation had a percentage of 28.57%. Students with sufficient learning motivation have a percentage of 28.57%. Students with high learning motivation have a percentage of 28.57%. While students with very high learning motivation have a percentage of 14.29%. There are seven indicators of learning motivation to determine the level of student learning motivation, including: being diligent in facing assignments and completing them, facing difficulties tenaciously and never giving up, showing interest in dealing with problems, independent learning, getting bored quickly. on assignment. - Routinely do assignments, defend and convince opinions with good and strong reasons, and like to find problems and solve problems

Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to analyze the basic teaching skills of teachers in the fourth grade social studies subject at SDN Dukuhan Kerten No.58 Surakarta. Basic teaching skills are vital to be possessed and dominated by an teacher in the learning process. This study is a qualitative examination with a descriptive technique utilizing a phenomenological approach. The strategy of taking the subject utilized was purposive sampling method. Teacher, students, and headmaster as a source of data. Data collections using observation, interview, questionnaries, and documentation. The data validity test was using triangulation method. The data that has been obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model to analyze the completion steps in accordance with the indicators of basic teaching skills. The result analyze of the investigation show that the teacher has dominated 8 basic teaching skills, including: basic and advanced questioning skills, the teacher has paid attention to how to ask questions to students properly and correctly. In affirming skills, the educator has given verbal support. In the application of the skills to variation, the teacher has utilized learning media as pictures to help the learning process. In explaining skills, in explaining the teacher emphasizes the important points to be conveyed on to students. For the skills of opening and closing lessons, the teacher has likewise executed it well, the teacher gives inspiration to follow-up as every day assessments for every exercise. The application of small group discussion guiding skills, the teacher divides students into groups, organizing group discussions, observe and supervise each group, and concentrates of student in the group. In applying the class management skills, the teacher consistently gives oversight to student in the classroom. And on the application of small group and/or individual teaching skills, the teacher has set up great associations with student and parents of student to facilitate the learning process both at school and at hom

Get PDFAbstract. This study intends to describe the outcomes of the 4C skills analysis. (Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation) Subtheme I and my values in the fourth grade student's textbook. This study utilized a qualitative descriptive approach for its design. The utilized methodology is content analysis. Document analysis is used to gather information. The test for validity employs theoretical triangulation and boosts the persistence of observations. The technique for data analysis consisted of three steps: data reduction, data display, and verification. The results indicated that communication abilities were 100 %, with the majority of Let’s Reading activities focusing on communication. 76% of students scored above average in critical thinking and problem solving, Let's Practice tasks that emphasize critical thinking and problem solving, 37% of students were found to possess collaboration abilities, and Let's Discuss activities are the most effective at encouraging students to collaborate, 16% of youngsters demonstrated creative and imaginative abilities, and Let's practice and Collaborate with Parents activities are the most influential in fostering these qualities. Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning on civic education subjects for Class V Elementary School 1 Semali. The subjects of this study were class teachers and students of class V Elementary School 1 Semali, totaling 25 children. There are 3 discussions to determine the effectiveness of online learning, namely the implementation of online learning, the activeness of students when participating in online learning, and student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques in this study included interviews, observation, and document analysis. The data of this study indicate that the implementation of online learning in class V of the State Elementary School 1 Semali is going well, but the students are not active during learning. This results in the teacher's assessment being less than optimal so that student scores tend to decrease during online learning. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of online learning in the subject of Citizenship Education Class V Elementary School 1 Semali for the academic year 2021/2022 is less effective because of the 3 indicators only 1 aspect is in the good category while the other 2 aspects in the poor category and tends to decrease

Changes ini learning methods form face to face in the calssroom to online learning have na impact on learning quality, motivation, and learning success. In this 21st century learning, studnets are required to continue o improve their academic mastery and implement it in everyday life. In hoped that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning in this pandemic will be able to train 21st century skill for students. This reseacrh uses a descriptive quualitative approach, with purposive sampling technique. The subjects in this study were elementary school fourth grade students. In STEAM learning during the covid-19 pandmeic, the level of motivation of the subjects was different. The different in motivation due to the intrinsic and axtrinsic factors of the studnet. This research data analysis using the results of observations, interviews, and documentation.teh result of this study show that in general teh learning motivation of students in STEAM learning is quite good even in the condition of the covid-19 pandemic

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to describe students' descriptive essay writing skills. This type of research is qualitative research and was conducted on fourth grade students of SDIT Islamy. The subject selection technique used purposive sampling and took 20% of the class IV population. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews. Aspects of descriptive essay writing skills are the involvement of the five senses, the suitability of the content with the title, organization, effective sentence mastery and vocabulary selection, and spelling. The results showed that the percentage of sensory involvement aspect was 0%, content conformity with title was 83%, organization was 0%, sentence mastery and effective vocabulary selection was 0%, spelling was 0%. The biggest percentage result is from the aspect of conformity of the content to the title, while the lowest aspect is from the involvement of the five senses, organization, effective sentence mastery and vocabulary selection, and spelling. Based on the previous explanation, it was concluded that the analysis of the descriptive essay writing skills of the fourth grade students of SDIT Islamy was in the very poor category. The theoretical implication of this research is to increase knowledge about the analysis of descriptive essay writing skills

Get PDFThis researchaimsto provide an overview of the effectiveness of using the WhatsApp application as a media for learning the Indonesian language at home. This research includes qualitative research with descriptivemethods and phenomenological approaches. Teachers and students of class V SD Negeri Pajang IV Surakarta that in total 27 students, were the subject of the study. Data collection techniques were used interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data validity test technique was used triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique was based on Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the use of the WhatsApp application as a media for learning the Indonesian language at home could be categorized as effective. Of the 11 descriptors 9 descriptors of media effectiveness have been achieved in the use of the WhatsApp application as a media for Indonesian language learning
