    This research aims to determine the effect of using the KWL (Know, Want, Learned) strategy through STEAM card media on reading comprehension skills in grade 4 students in elementary schools. The research method used is a quantitative design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted to assess whether the application of the KWL strategy through STEAM card media had a significant influence on students' reading comprehension skills. Apart from that, this research also aims to compare the average reading comprehension skills of students who use the KWL strategy via STEAM card media with those who do not. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a better understanding of the KWL strategy in improving reading comprehension skills among grade 4 elementary school students. This research can also provide input for educators regarding the use of STEAM card media in the reading learning process. Thus, this research has important implications in the development of more effective learning methods in the field of reading comprehension skills at the basic education level

    Education plays a significant role in humans in living their lives. Every individual needs and has the right to undergo education. Education in Indonesia is carried out in stages starting from primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Basic education is held at the elementary school level. Considering that basic education has a significant position, the role of teachers who have good basic teaching skills is necessary. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research on the application of teachers' basic teaching skills in Civics subjects in class VI at SDN Genengsari 03. The research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collection instruments consist of observation, interview, questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that the application of teachers' basic teaching skills had been carried out well. In the first and second observations the teacher had implemented 29 of the 32 components or a percentage of 90.62%. In the third observation, the teacher implemented 31 components with a percentage of 96.87%.. Furthermore, in the interview instrument, the teacher answered the majority of questions well. One question about verbal reinforcement was not answered optimally by the teacher. In the questionnaire instrument, teachers have obtained an average percentage of skills implementation of more than 50% of each component. The obstacles experienced by teachers during implementation are the components of non-verbal reinforcement, variation, and problem expansion. The theoretical implication of this research is that teachers know the extent of their mastery of basic teaching skills. Meanwhile, the practical implication is that teachers can use the research instrument data to find out the extent to which basic teaching skills are implemented in class VI at SDN Genengsari 03

    The purpose of this study was to show the value of student cooperation through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in mathematics learning for grade III of elementary school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data used are the results of observations in mathematics learning on the material of calculating the circumference of flat shapes and the results of interviews with teachers and grade III students. The data obtained were then analyzed referring to the Miles & Huberman analysis model. The results of this study are through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, students can show the values of cooperation in the form of students depending on each other in positive ways towards their group, including: 1) Students remind group members if they have not done their assignments. 2) Students are willing to help group members if they have difficulties. 3) Students share information needed by the group. The value of cooperation can emerge because implementation of TGT model, students must work in groups. So this model is the right learning model to develop students' cooperation values

    The research objectives include: 1) Increasing learning motivation in science subjects using the Assemblr Edu application; and 2) Knowing how to use the Assemblr Edu application which can increase learning motivation in science subjects. This research is of the type Classroom Action Research (CAR). Each cycle contains planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 14 4th grade students with 7 girls and 7 boys as well as the homeroom teacher. Obtaining data through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis uses triangulation techniques with the Miles and Huberman model. Based on the results questionnaires, an increase in students' science learning motivation was shown by an average initial pre-action of 61%. Then after carrying out the actions in cycle I the average motivation rose to 73% and after the actions in cycle II the average became 84%

    This research aims to describe the methods and obstacles to cultivating an attitude of cooperation through Scout extracurriculars in class III A of SDN Panularan No.06 Surakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through moderate observation, interviews and documentation. Test the validity of the data using triangulation of techniques and sources. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman analysis techniques. The results of the research show that: (1) The coach has instilled an attitude of cooperation through various means, including the group system succeeded in achieving 5 of the 6 indicators of a cooperative attitude with a percentage of 83% in the very good category, the intervention achieved 3 indicators with a percentage of 50% in the poor category, exemplary and habituation reached 2 indicators with a percentage of 33% in the very poor category due to students forgetting, mentoring and reinforcement reached 2 indicators with a percentage of 33% in the very poor category due to the lack of planning and consequences. The game method and the involvement of various parties reached 2 and 1 indicators respectively with a percentage of 33% and 16.67% in the very poor category, namely only carried out at large meetings (2) Internal obstacles were related to lack of supervision, while external obstacles included limited planning and the number of supervisors.     The primary objective of this investigation is to outline the varieties and reasons behind errors in employing capital letters and punctuation found in basic essays penned by third-grade students. Employing a descriptive qualitative research approach, the study seeks to scrutinize and analyze the mistakes made in the application of capitalization and punctuation within the students' essays. The study enlisted the participation of 27 third-grade students and a third-grade teacher. Various data collection methods, such as observation, interviews, and document analysis, were employed to gather comprehensive insights into the nature of these errors. The findings of this investigation highlighted various instances of errors in the application of capital letters and punctuation marks. The highest frequency of errors in capitalization was observed in the initial letter at the commencement of sentences, accounting for 32.04%, whereas the least frequent errors were associated with the use of personal pronouns, totaling 9.2%. Additionally, errors related to punctuation marks were predominantly linked to period punctuation, with a frequency of 63.10%, while the least common errors were observed in the utilization of period comma marks, constituting 36.90%. The primary root cause of these errors appears to stem from learners' writing practices deviating from language norms, coupled with a tendency to forget and a lack of precision during the writing process

    Abstrak . Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2021-April 2022.  Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas I-III dan siswa kelas I-III. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dari Miles & Huberman dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran tatap muka hanya sebatas pada nilai rendah yang sudah berjalan dengan baik. Dari seluruh hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran tatap muka hanya sebatas nilai rendah sesuai protokol kesehatan.     Penelitian ini bertujuan, 1) untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara siswa yang diajar dengan model think talk write dan model direct instruction terhadap keterampilan menulis rangkaian peristiwa dalam cerita fiksi; 2) mengetahui pengaruh antara siswa yang mempunyai minat belajar tinggi dan minat belajar rendah terhadap keterampilan rangkaian menulis peristiwa dalam cerita fiksi; 3) mengetahui model interaksi pembelajaran dan minat belajar terhadap keterampilan menulis rangkaian peristiwa dalam cerita fiksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tertulis dan angket, dengan menggunakan metode cluster random sampling untuk pengambilan sampelnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan ANOVA dua arah dengan sel yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) hipotesis pertama yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh, hasil ini diperoleh dengan membandingkan F M = 8,375 > Ftabel = 4,01. (2) hipotesis kedua menyatakan terdapat pengaruh, hasil ini F B = 7,624 > Ftabel = 4,01. (3) hipotesis ketiga menyatakan tidak terjadi interaksi, dengan hasil F MB = 0,453 < Ftabel = 4,01

    Keberhasilan pendidikan tidak terlepas dari kegiatan belajar yang merupakan inti dari proses pencapaian hasil belajar. Disiplin memegang peranan penting baik bagi siswa maupun guru. Peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa seringkali tercermin dari kedisiplinan yang ditunjukkannya. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi siswa untuk memiliki sikap disiplin dan motivasi belajar yang kuat, memastikan mereka fokus dan terorganisir dalam kegiatan pendidikannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pesertanya adalah siswa kelas lima dan gurunya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari wawancara, angket, dan observasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa disiplin dan motivasi belajar secara umum mendapat nilai tinggi. Nilai tertinggi terdapat pada disiplin sikap dengan nilai 3,23, sedangkan nilai terendah terdapat pada disiplin ibadah dengan nilai 2,76.     Abstract. This research was conducted to: (1) describe the difficulties of beginning reading and (2) describe the factors that influence the difficulties of beginning reading. This research used qualitative method with descriptive approach. Researcher use students, teacher, and parents as a resource of the data in this research. The subjects in this research were 10 students who had early reading difficulty. Data in this research were collected using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results found in this research include the following. First, the difficulties in beginning reading experienced by first grade students of Kampung Sewu elementary school consist of: (1) difficulty reading words as much as 38.62%, (2) difficulty reading syllables as much as 24.89%, (3) difficulty reading fluently and understanding the content of reading as much as 16.3%, (4) difficulty listening as much as 15.02%, and (5) difficulty identifying consonant letters as much as 5.15%. Second, the factors that can cause difficulties in beginning reading in first grade students of Kampung Sewu elementary school are: (1) low interest, (2) lack of motivation, (3) low intelligence levels, (4) family background, (5) lack of parental role, and (6) social and economic conditions of the living environment
