Get PDFAs global social, economic and politic competition grows sharper, education becomes an important source of competitive advantage. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is one of the main part for learning process improvement in Indonesia. Getting the best from ICT depends on several variables, including the appropriate design of hard technology, soft technology, and content; the training and attitude of instructors; and the realization that different students have different requirements. But we must respond critically and wisely. ICT is produced by some countries with several goals to get advantages from developing countries which have placed ICT as an important factor for human welfare improvement, closely linking with educational system. A decision made to use ICT in learning system must consider several factors consciously, such as socio-cultural and economic capabilities of our society. That is an approach to maintain our goals as free as developed countries in using ICT for education

Get PDFThe objective of this research is to describe the aspects of creativity in Keratin Tongan Dan Keening (Handcraft and Arts), a main textbook, used in the fifth grade of Elementary School. The aspects of creativity are identified as personality, motivator, process and product. This research employed2 content analysis method based on the data gathered by studying the whole book. It is found out that this book does not contain all aspects of creativity as expected in a textbook for Handcraft and Arts. This research, therefore, suggests some recommendation for writing a textbook for Handcraft and Arts
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS MELALUI METODE QUANTUM LEARNING DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to gain the empirical data about learning of writing skill at third class elementary school (SDN Bedahan 01 Sawangan Depok) through quantum learning method, This class action research is hold by using cycle model from Stephen Kemmis and Mc Taggart. This research is done through the following phases: planning, acting, observation, reflecting, and evaluating as the basic of re-planning for the next cycles. The result for every cycle is as follows: the first cycle average of writing composition skills equals to 58.54%, whereas the second cycle raising to 69.37%, and at the third cycle increasing more and more with the average score 76.77%. The implication result of this research shows that quantum learning method motivates the student of the third class of elementary school to learn composition. This method can make the student become self-confidence and proactive in building their imagination and creativity to write in a joyful situation

Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to describe how the lectures of the School of Education in State University of Jakarta use internet as a learning resource. The population covered all lecturers of the School of Education and respondents were selective by proporsional random sampling technique. The data were collected by using questioner and interviewing. The result of the research shows that most of the lecturers have utilized internet for their own interest but not for instructional purposes in the classroom. Very few of the respondents indicate that they are not familiar with internet. The problems in using internet as a learning resource include the limited knowledge of the lecturers in using internet for instructional purposes and limited facility available in the School of Education. This research suggests the School of Education encourages all the lecturers to take benefit of internet as learning resources in each course and it is an urgent need to provide enough facility to access internet for all of lectures
