URGENSI PENGATURAN PERBUKUAN NASIONAL
Printed materials such as books are still used as the main resources in instructional process in formal and non-formal education. Books are also used to disseminate many kinds of information for various purposes. The intellectual advancement of a nation can be measured from its book industry development. The book industry in Indonesia has a low product and can not compete against other countries even in the Southeast Asia. It faces a lot of obstacles in the aspects of manuscript provision, printing, publishing, distributing, and marketing. This article discusses the urgent need of book regulations to develop book industry in Indonesia. It believes that the appropriate book regulations followed by law enforcement will be able to stimulate the book industry development in Indonesia. Many problems concerning the authorship, publishing, printing, distribution, and marketing can be solved with national book regulations. 
KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI ANAK TUNARUNGU
This research aimed to find out the influencing differences of variables such as learning strategies and levels of deafness toward the verbal and non verbal communication ability in hearing impairment children. Besides, this research also aimed to find out whether there are interactions between two independent variables or not that influence verbal and nonverbal communication ability in hearing impairment children. For those purposes, an ex post facto comparative research was conducted to compare the influence of MMR learning strategies and conventional learning strategies that had been done at Special Needs Elementary School for Hearing Impairment Children by noticing the levels of deafness (hard of hearing and deaf) toward verbal and nonverbal communication ability. In the line of the problems,this research used a factorial design 2x2 to respond the verbal, nonverbal, and combination of verbal and nonverbal communication ability. The results of this research are (1) overall, hearing impairment children classified as hard of hearing and deaf who study by using MMR learning strategy have higher communication (verbal and nonverbal) ability than those who study by using learning strategy conventionally; (2) overall, based on the levels of deafness, hearing impairment children classified as hard of hearing have higher communication ability than hearing impairment children classified as deaf; (3) there are interaction influences between the learning strategies and levels of deafness toward communication ability in hearing impairment children
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS TENTANG KEDUDUKAN DALAM KELUARGA DENGAN PENDEKATAN PAKEM
The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data on learning achievement in Social Sciences on the position in the family. The study was conducted in Grade 2 of State Primary School 01, Morning School, in Cilandak Timur. The study applied active, creative, effective, and joyfull learning (PAKEM) approach. The subjects were Grade 2 students in the second semesterof 2008/2009 school year. As an action research, the spiral model or S cycle introduced by Kemmis and Mc Taggard was used. The steps included planning, acting, observing, reflecting, and evaluating, as the bases for the following cycle. The result of the study showed there is a significant learning achievement improvement of the students at the end of the second cycle. The study indicates PAKEM approach can be applied as one of the solution of improving the students’ learning achievement in Social Sciences particularly in Grade 2 of Primary School
PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR STRUKTUR ALJABAR BERBASIS WEBSITE
This research was conducted to produce a web based learning materials which is used in algebra structure course. The respondents of this research were student teachers of 6th semester, majoring in Maths, Faculty of Educational and Teaching Program, University of PGRI Palembang. The learning materials were developed by IDI (Instructional Development Institute) model. To measure of its validity, practicality, and effectiveness, a formative evaluation and a field test were used. The results showed that the 4th prototype of the learning materials is potentially effective that 67,57% of students are motivated, 56,76% of students are interested and the students’ result of study which reached the point of 54,05%, are considered excellent. It can be concluded that the learning materials of structure of algebra based on website is valid and practical on study of structure of algebra, and has a potential effect

PERANAN MUSEUM DALAM BIDANG KESENIRUPAAN
Museum is one of public facilities preserving a collection of cultural heritage from the past to the present time which can be also used for learning purposes. This research aims at knowing and describing how a museum can be benefitted as a learning resource. The research was conducted at Museum Fatahillah in Kota Tua, Jakarta. This museum contains a number of prehistoric collection. Three questions were raised in this research: how the Museum organizes the art works, how is the quality and the quantity of the works on the display, and how the museum can be used as a learning resource. The data was collected by using observation, interview, document study techniques and was analyzed qualitatively to answer the research questions. The research findings indicate the Museum has a variety of art collection well organized on display, the collection has cultural value and can be benefitted as a learning resource
KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIS GURU PLB DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS
This research aims at describing pedagogical competence of the special education teachers in improving the students’ learning achievement at the 5th grade in SLB N 5 Tanah Abang, Jakarta. Based on its objective, this research is descriptive covering 12 teachers and all students totaled 30 students. To know the data of the teachers’ pedagogical competence, PLPG tests were used and to know the students’ learning achievement, document study was done. The result of the research indicates both the teachers’ pedagogical competence and the students’ learning achievement can be categorized good with each of them 74.73% and 71.95 %
INTEGRASI TEKNOLOGI KE DALAM KURIKULUM
Facilitating instruction and performance improvement in instruction technology become the objectives of instruction technology to solve learning problems faced by the students. This problem can solved and the objectives can be achieved if the technological resources integrated into the curriculum are used properly. How it is done is to be discussed in this article in detail. The teacher as a curriculum developer should possesses technological competence and knows to choose and use the technology integrated in instruction
KEMANDIRIAN ANAK TUNAGRAHITA RINGAN MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN TERPADU
The purpose of this study was to discover the application of integrated instruction in improving the independence of mentally retarded students such as in self-cleaning skill, eating and drinking skills, grooming skills and self-danger avoided skills. The method used ini this study was action research, combining qualitative and quantitative paradigms as introduced by Spreadly. The research was conducted in SLB/B, Asih Budi, in South Jakarta as from February through April 2005. After two cycles of treatment, the research found that the integrated instruction can strengthen and improve the independence of mentally retarded students
KURIKULUM INTERNASIONAL PENDIDIKAN
The purposes of this research were to compare the curriculum of Special Education (PLB) Faculty of Education (FIP), State University of Jakarta (UNJ) with special education curriculum of HNU Programs, China, and to obtain an international curriculum for majors sujects in PLB FIP UNJ in 2010. The research which was conducted at FIP and HNU employed descriptive method and the data were collected using observation and interviews. The comparison between the two universities indicated that the special education curriculum of FIP UNJ is more comprehensive and student’s competency to be achieved consists of five areas: personality development, knowledge and skills, working skills, working behaviors, and social life. The research findings indicate that the international curriculum of Special Education Programs (PLB), FIP, UNJ, can be used for overseas students particularly China who are interested in special education
