    PERBEDAAN PENERIMAAN DIRI ORANG TUA YANG MEMILIKI ABK BERDASARKAN KEIKUTSERTAAN DALAM KEGIATAN SUPPORT GROUP

    The aim of this research was to analyse the differences between the self acceptence of parents with handicapped children based on their involvment in the support group compared to those without any involvement. In this research, 64 parents with handicapped children were selected using nonprobability sampling with incidental sampling type. The samples comprised of 32 parents with involvement in support group and the remaining were without any involvement. Adapted Berger Self Acceptance Scale was used for the measurement of the research. Independent sample T-Test was the statistical analysis method used for the research. The result showed that t = 0, 267 with df = 62 ; t < t able (2) and p = 0,79 ; p > 0,05, meaning Ho was accepted and H1 was rejected. The result showed that there is no significance different between self acceptence of parents with handicaped children who join the support group with those who have not joined the group. Discussion of this research concluded there are several factors influencing this finding, such as family, cultural problems, and religious view, beside social and economic status

    Valid and reliable test is an essential instrument to measure the student’s learning achievement. Standardized test available at the time it is required will make the instructional process more effective and efficient. This study aims at building a test bank with standardized tests for Development Psychology Course as one of Basic Courses for Education that has to be taken by all students of education. The test items were developed by employing the method which could expose psychometric property or psychomotoric characteristics of each item. For this purpose 95 test items were tried out to 224 students of State University of Jakarta. From the whole number of test items, 46 were analyzed by using Rasch Model (Item Response Theory) and the remaining 49 were analyzed with Classical Test Theory. The study resulted in 29 valid test items from Rasch Model and 42 valid test items from Classical Test Theory. The valid test items can be put into the test bank and ready for use

    This classroom action research is intended to improve instructional quality in the subject of Pancasila and Kewarganegaraan (PKn) at primary school. The main focus of this research is to discover if role play model can be implemented to improve the quality of PKn. The research, conducted at the fifth grade in Primary School 5, Municipality of Bengkulu, used observation, open interview, and field note techniques in collecting data to be analyzed qualitively. The findings show that role play model can improve the instructional quality of PKn in Primary School. Therefore it is recommended the roleplay model to be applied at 3rd through 4th grades for more learning experiences

    Academic misconduct performed by the university students is an illegal practise and will give negative effects to the individual as well as the related institution. This research aims at discovering significant factors and psychological dynamics in the university students performing academic misconduct. The research based on the post positivistic paradigm with three students of State University of Jakarta as the objects of the study. Using interview technique in collecting data, the research conducted in the odd semester of 2009/2010 concludes that demographic factor, individual factor, and situational factor are the signifant factors. The academic misconduct performer has a psychological dynamic showing dissonance. The performer believes academic misconduct is inapprorate, but he/ she still keeps doing

    This research aimed to find out the development of the Faculty of Education (FIP) Library in the State University of Jakarta ( UNJ) in terms of the role of the Faculty Library in supporting the learning activities at the Faculty of Education, efforts done to develop the Faculty Library, the application of information technology and the students’ participation. To meet its purposes this research was conducted at the Faculty of Education (FIP) of the UNJ within 4 months with the samples covering 120 respondents selected from FIP students by random sampling technique. Research results showed that the FIP Library has not been managed properly. Although the Library facilities are quite complete, they are not well benefitted, the information technology is not much used to develop the Library and the students’ participation is seemingly low. The research provides a number of suggestions to develop the FIPLibrary

    The purpose of this research is to unveil the instructional model which can strengthen the self-learning competence of the university students. A peer group instructional model is choosen as the alternative model to develop. The research findings indicate that (1) the university students’ learning tends to be textbook centered based instruction and does not motivate the students to develop their learning strategy, (2) peer group instructional model can improve the students’ competence in self-learning, formulating the objectives, planning the strategy, utilizing learning resources, using media, comprehending the main ideas in the learning materials, exposing ideas, understanding learning networks, and measuring learning achievement

    The aim of this study is describe the implementation of inclusive education at the Department of Special Education, School of Education, State University of Jakarta. The research carried out in 2009 employed survey method. The data was collected using questionnaire by survey including 40 students as the samples out of the population of 70 regular students. The samples consisted of 35 students of 2006 academic year and 5 students of 2005 academic year. The conclusion of the research show that the students have positive attitude towards inclusive education

    This classroom action research aims at improvingthe students’ learning achievement in Economics and Resources by developing learning design. In this research Kemmis and Taggart model was employed in three cycles. The population of this research covered the students of Elementary School Teacher Education Department in State University of Jakarta. The samples were selected by simple random sampling at amount of 30 students. Instrument used in this research was test in learning achievement of Economics and Resources.The data were analyzed by counting the mean of each cycle. The result of study showed that there is improvement of learning achievement in each cycle. The means of cycle 1, 2, and 3 are 65, 72, and 80 respectively. In the third cycle, the learning achievement of the students has reached the determine indicators. Based on research findings, it can be concluded that the learning of achievement in Economics and Resources can be improved by improving learning design

    This study aims at obtaining empirical data about student perceptions on the facilities of Indonesian web based learning at www.courses.web-bali.net developed by the Study Program of Educational Technology, School of Education, State University of Jakarta, and providing input to administrators and policy makers in its development. This study used survey methods of descriptive type. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires directly to 36 students selected as samples of 2008 academic years students who used www.courses.web-bali.net in semester 091 for Management of Information System course. Based on the data and analysis the study concluded that the student perceptions of Web Based Learning is catagorized good
