PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN AUDIOVISUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA DAN MENULIS SISWA
Many of Grade 5 students of Government Primary School No 12, Kedaung Angke, West Jakarta, did not attain the learning mastery standard in speaking to convey information and writing verbal news summary. This classroom action research was conducted to solve the following problem: Can audiovisual instructional media improve the ability of Grade 5 students of of Government Primary School No 12, Kedaung Angke, West Jakarta, to speak to convey information and write verbal news summary? The research conducted in September and October 2011 aimed at improving the instructional quality in speaking to convey information and writing verbal news summary by using audiovisual media. After 2 cycles of interventions, the students could attain the learning mastery standard in speaking to convey information and writing verbal news summar. The research concluded, using audiovisual instructional media can improve the students’ speaking and writing ability in Indonesian
PENGARUH MODEL PENGAJARAN INDUKTIF KATA BERGAMBAR TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN BAHASA JERMAN
Inductive word picture teaching model is an instructional model used for the students at beginner level at the German Study Program to direct them to complete the complicated tasks applying higher thinking order. This research aimed at discovering the effect of this model towards the students’ writing skill in German. This experimental research applied single design with pre- and post- tests in Faculty of Teachers Education, Pattimura University, Ambon during the second semester of 2013/2014. The result of research showed, the model has significant influence to writing skill. This means, the model forces the students to think inductively in writing. Besides, the model enables them to construct their basic structural analysis systematically
PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN TALKING STICK UNTUK SEKOLAH DASAR
Social science is closely related to the human life and social Science helps the students to develop his/her logic beside value and morality. However social science tend to be recital and the information and the knowledge the student obtains are verbal products. The social science characteristics make the instructional process is dominated by expository approach and the teacher mostly uses oral method. This research aimed at improving the student’s learning achievement at Government Elementary School 9, Grade V, in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, by applying talking stick method. The research conducted as from July through September 2014, employed classroom action research with Kemmis and Taggard’s model. The finding indicated talking stick method is effective to improve the student’s learning achievement
INTERVENSI BERBASIS WEB SWADAYA TERAPI SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PROGRAM PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BELAJAR MAHASISWA
This research investigates conceptual framework and empirical bases of web-based self-help therapeutic intervention as an alternative programme to enhance students’ study skills in higher education. Urgency to provide online services through web-based self-help therapeutic intervention is indicated by students’ digital participation and study skills result. In this study, 326 college students participated in the survey involving 7 faculties in The State University of Jakarta. The result shows that more than fifty per cent of undergraduate students in State University of Jakarta have low study skills. This condition has to proactively respond by online programme provision due to boost students’ achievement. As an active participant in digital world, students would prefer more to online services namely self-help web-based therapeutic intervention. FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI RENDAHNYA KECAKAPAN BERBICARA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI BAHASA INGGRIS
The main purpose of this research is to find out the factors affecting the poor speaking skill of semester four students at the English Department, Faculty of Teachers Training, Artha Wacana Christian University, Kupang. The research was conducted in the Academic Year 2013/2014 to the fourth semester students who had passed the lectures of Speaking One, Speaking Two and Speaking Three. The participants of the research were the students with the low marks ranked from the lowest level where twenty students were taken as the research subjects. The research result shows that there are twelve factors affecting the students’poor speaking skills: psychological factors, poor vocabulary-related factor, peer-related factors, pronunciation related factors, grammar related factor, personality factor, L1 interference related-factor, teacher-related factor, teacher’s poor teaching method, environmental factor, motivation factor, and cross-cultural factor. Those are the main factors that have contributed to the speaking skills
PEMANFAATAN WAKTU LUANG PESERTA DIDIK SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
Nowdays, there has been more and moer students of senior high school (SHS) and vocational school (VS) who cannot manage their time well and often do negative activities that tend to be crime. This is caused by the lack of the students awareness to organize and manage their spare time for positive activities. The objective of the research is to find out the information about the students’ activities to use their spare time outside the school hours. This research used mixed method,with evaluation and case study. Sample consisted of 178 teachers, 4103 students, 3747 students’ parents in the eight provinces in 2011. Tool of research are questionnair, documentation guide, focus group discussion (FGD) guide, and interview guide. Research finding is that the students tend to choose activities they are interested in or the activities they motivate in, students are not independent both in their thought and action based on their potential, and the collaboration between parents and school is very low
FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENGGUNAAN ASESMEN ALTERNATIF DALAM MENGEVALUASI HASIL BELAJAR SISWA
The purpose of this research was to describe the evaluation of the students’s learning achievement and the factors influencing the teachers in using alternative assessment in evaluating the students’s learning achievement. The method applied was mixed method explanatory in which the research began with quantitative approach and continued with qualitative approach. The research was conducted in Utan Kayu Selatan area of the East Jakarta as from April to November 2011 and the primary school teachers were determined as the research subjects. The samples were selected by random sampling for the quantitative approach and certain criteria were used for the qualitative approach. Based on the data analysis, from 41 only nine teachers used the alternative assessment. In-depth study indicated the influencing factors for the teachers to use the alternative factors were (1) boredom of using the conventional evaluation, (2) wish to adjust the evaluation technique to the instructional objectives, (3) wish to gain authentic assessment of the students’ competence, (4) awareness to grow honesty value to the students, (5) insight of the students’ different competence, and (6) teachers’ creativity
MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR MUSIK MELALUI PERMAINAN ANSAMBEL MUSIK
This classroom action research have purpose to improving the interest in music learning from music ansamble on 5th grade in SDN Pulogebang Pagi, the research was conducted as from April through May 2012. The research are 30 students were studied at there. This classroom research was implemented through stages of planning, action performance, observations, and reflections as a basic of re-planning in the next cycle. Based on research’s obtained the conclusions that using the recorder soprano ansamble can increase the interest of student in music learning on 5th grade in SDN 04 Pulogebang Pagi. Implication from this research, stated that music ansamble can change performance teacher into more creative and professional, and usefull for student daily life
MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN MELALUI ACTIVE LEARNING IN HIGH EDUCATION (ALIHE) PADA MATA KULIAH PENDIDIKAN IPA SD DI JURUSAN PGSD FIP UNJ
The improvement of instructional quality, particularly in the Natural Science Course, in Primary School Teacher Education Departement of the School of Education, State University of Jakarta, has not well implemented active learning as required in ALIHE. The lecture plays more role directing the students rather than motivating the students to be active learning. The purpose of this research was to improve the instructional quality by implementing ALIHE in this Course. Employing action research method, the research was conducted at Primary School Teacher Education Departement of the School of Education, State University of Jakarta, as from February through June 2012. The data were collected using the observatuin sheets prepared in collaboration with Natural Science Lecturers responsible for the Course of Natural Science Education for Primary School. The findings concluded thet ALIHE strategy can (1) improve the instructional quality including the lecture’s performance and the learning effects for the students, (2) improve the appropriate instructional climate, (3) enable the the lecture or the lecture and the students design instructional materials and media which improve the learning achiievement, and (4) enable the lecture to determine more suitable instructional system
PEMBELAJARAN BERBANTUAN FACEBOOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR
The advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) has affected the educational practices including instructional process. In Indonesia, ICT has been benefitted for instructional purposes, one of them is social net Facebook. This research aimed at revealing how facebook can be used to improve the students’ learning achievement in the course of Innovation and Deffusion in Education (IDE) at The Curriculum and Educational Technology Departement, School of Education, State University of Jakarta. The research was conducted in the Even Semester of 2012 apllying survey method with all of IDE students as respondents. The data were collected and analyzed focusing on instructional design, prosess, and evaluation.
