MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KREATIF SISWA MELALUI PENDEKATAN WHOLE LANGUAGE DENGAN TEKNIK MENULIS JURNAL
This study aimed at collecting emperical data of creative writing activities applying whole language approach to the students of grade 5 of Primary School. The study conducted at SDN, Pondok Kelapa 05 Pagi, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, as from August through December 2018, employing classroom action research. The intervention design of the research adopted the model of Kemmis and Taggard. The data were collected by observation and test of writing skill. The data were analyzed by reducing and displaying the data for conclusion, verification, and reflection. The result the resarch showed the improvement of the students’ writing skills in each cycle until the third cycle, that it can be concluded that writing instruction by journal writing activities as a component of whole language approach can improve the students’ creative writing skills
AKSELERASI-INKLUSI DALAM PERSPEKTIF LAYANAN EFEKTIF ANAK BERBAKAT
Many people realize the importance of special education for gifted and talented children. However, the implementation of special education through accelerated class generates a polemic. In regards to the problem mentioned above, the acceleration should be laid upon the original idea as an effort to effectively serve the gifted and talented children. This is crucial, since this is called as an accelerated class, where acceleration has to take place. The accelerated class seems to be meant only for talented children with such an achievement and a high score of IQ, but the accelerated class is neither for children with under achievement or the disadvantaged children. While it’s mentioned legally that every citizen has the right to access education. The essence of acceleration lies in the effective service for gifted and talented children. One innovative is accelerated-inclusion. In the context of inclusive education, the acceleration is a must, as this is the essence of the fulfillment of the special needs. This article analyzed accelerated-inclusion in Al-Mabrur Elementary School, in Bandung. The focus of the analysis is what, wh, and how the accelerated-inclusion is developed in this five-year learning program full-day school, and is relevant to the context of effective service for gifted and talented children
MODEL PEMBELAJARAN JEJARING SOSIAL PADA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA
The purpose of this research was to develop social-hub instructional model in teaching mathematics. Taking place in Government Madrasah Aliyah 3, Palembang as from January through June 2013, the research selected the science students of Grade XI as the respondents. As a research and development project, Borg and Gall model was combined with Dick and Carey model to develop social-hub instructional model. To test the model, this research applied experts, one-to-one, small group, and field tests focusing on the student’s interest and learning achievement. The fourth prototype proved the potential design to be effective in the instruction showing 65.63 % of the students interested in the model and the average of mastery learning was 82.66. The findings conclude, the model developed is valid and applicable in teaching mathematics and effective in improving the student’s learning motivation in mathematics
INTERVENSI BAGI ANAK YANG TERISOLIR MELALUI PERMAINAN “ELANG DAN ANAK AYAMâ€
This study was conducted to discover whether intervention program with role playing technique (Eagle and chicks) was able to increase the capability of social interaction of a isolation student in SDN Utan Kayu Selatan 13 Pagi, East Jakarta. This study was conducted from October through December 2013 using a single subject approach. The participant in this study included one child with social interaction difficulties. The data were collected through interview and observation. The analysis of data from a single subject experimental research used a chart analysis including the analysis results and analysis of conditions. Analysis of the conditions was used to analyze the changes in the conditions, the conditions of Baseline and Intervention. While inter-condition analysis is the analysis was used to analyze the change from one condition to another condition. The results showed a decreased ability of Baseline conditions and an increasing ability in Intervention condition. The increased capabilities included indicators of positive interaction with peer, participating in group activities, and responsive to others
PENGARUH ADVERSITY QUOTIENT (AQ) DAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA
This research aimed at analyzing the impact of the Adversity Quotient (AQ) and critical thinking ability on mathematics learning achievement. This is a correlational survey research design, with population was the student 8th grade in SMPN 251 Jakarta, and was done from March until July 2014. Study sample is 57 students were drawn from a population with simple random sampling technique. The instruments were in the forms of questionnaires and documentation. The data were analyzed using multiple regressions. The result showed: Adversity Quotient (AQ) and critical thinking abilities had positive and significant simultaneous impact on mathematics learning achievement; adversity quotient had a positive and significant impact on mathematics learning achievement; critical thinking ability had a positive and significant impact on mathematics learning achievement
TEKNIK PENULISAN MODUL KETERAMPILAN BELAJAR UNTUK MAHASISWA
To gain the graduate competence successfully, the university students need to have learning skills. Assisting the students to have the learning skills can be done by providing them with an appropriate module. This research was intended to identify the procedure of developing the module and produce the module which the students can use dependently to improve their learning skills. The research was conducted at the School of Education, State University of Jakarta. as from February through April 2013. The data to be analyzed descriptively were collected by studying the relevant documents, observation, and distributing questionairs to the students. The research found out three phases in producing the module: planning, writing preparation, and writing and editing. Besides, the research produced a the module for learning skills
KEMAMPUAN EKSAKTA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS ILMU TARBIYAH DAN KEGURUAN
The students’ achievement are influenced by internal and external factors. The aim of this research was to determine the factors that affect the students’ exact capability at The Faculty Tarbiyah and Teaching, IAIN, STS Jambi. The data were obtained from the questionnaire and documentation of student achievement in basic mathematics, general biology, basic chemistry and physics from 194 students of 2012 registration. The questionnaire consisted of two quantitative variables and 16 qualitative variables. The qualitatif variables were transformed into quantitative using dummy variables and analyzed with regression dummy. The analysis shows three factors that significantly affect the students’ exact capability, i.e marriage status, majoring in secondary schools, and the choice of majors in the university. Further analysis shows, the students with married status have an odds ratio of 2,15 times of the students who have not married in obtaining the score under the average; the students from major IPA have an odds ratio 3,33 times of non IPA students. The students who chose the present majors as the first option have an odds ratio 0,75 times of students who chose other majors in obtaining exact scores under the average. Therefore, to improve the ability of the exact students of mathematics, physics and biology, should science majors should become a rquirement in selecting prospective students
PENGARUH PROFESIONALITAS KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA GURU SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI
Preliminary study in several Government Primary Schools indicates a number of Primary School principals have low degree of professionalism and some others have high degree. Based on this fact, this research formulated a problem if there is an effect of the principal’s professionalism towards the job satisfaction of the government primary school teachers. This quantitative research was performed in Kedaung Angke, Sengkareng, West Jakarta as from 1 through 30 April 2014 employing survey method with correlational technique.The variables observed was the principal’s professionalism (X) and the government primary school teachers’ job satisfaction (Y). Based on the statistical analysis the research concluded, there is a significant effect of the principal’s professionalsm toward the government primary school teachers’ job satisfaction. The principals, therefore, are suggested to improve their professionalism to support the maximal attainment of their teachers’job satisfaction
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF JIGSAW
This classroom action research was conducted as from February through April 2013 at Government Primary School 1, Semester 1, School Year of 2013/2014. The research subjects are the students of Grade VI. The purpose of the research was to improve the teaching-learning process in Mathematics. After 2 cycles, the students’ learning achievement significantly improved. Based on the students’ learning activities and achievement, it was concluded, the cooperative instructional model Jigsaw can be used to improve the student’s achievement in Mathematics particularly in the topic of even numbers in Grade VI, Primary School
FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KECEMASAN SISWA DALAM MENGHADAPI UJIAN NASIONAL
National Examination implemented in primary and secondary education still becomes a contraversial issue causing negative psychological effect as anxiety for the students. Considering the factors raising the anxiety are necessary to be identified, this research is to find out and describe the factors and propose the alternatives to minimize them. Taking a palce at SMA N 19 in Jakarta in the academic year of 2010/ 2011, the research distributed questionair to the students of the 12th grade. The collected data were analysed on the basis of percentage. The factors of students’ anxiety identified in the research are (a) passing grade norms, (b) negative thinking to pass the passing grade, (c) possibility of failure, and (d) consequences of failure. As the factors of the anxiety can negatively affect the students and lower the graduate level, the research suggests the schools to handle the problem through the councillor
