    The purpose of this research is to produce the learning materials for Social Science Study at the fifth grade of elementary school students. The materials were focused on the theme of the Indonesian struggle against Dutch and Japanese colonialism. The learning materials were produced by applying the research and development model adopted by Atwi Suparman. This research, conducted as from October 2015 through 2016, involved 43 students of the fifth grade, in the State Primary School of Jati 03 Pag,i East Jakarta. For product evaluation, this research used expert review before trying out to-one-to-one, small group, and field test. The try out indicates, the learning materials developed for Social Science Study based on constructivism meets the criteria of “very good†at the fifth grade of Primary School

    Currently, many primary and secondary education textbooks are published and available in the market, but the quality does not meet the students’ needs. The Center for Textbook Development, Ministry of Education and Culture should produce textbook models to facilitate learning. This research conducted as from June through November 2015 examined Social Science textbooks for Grade VI Primary School. The research method used was content analysis and the data were collected by check list forms on the evaluation indicators of the textbooks. The result of the research is expected to become information for the appropriateness of textbooks

    BUKU POP-UP UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN BERCERITA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

    The purpose of this research and development is to produce a pop-up book for storytelling in Grade III, Elementary School. The pop-up book, entitled “Bu, Perutku Sakit!â€.is as the result of research and development method based on ADDIE development model. This research involved 38 students of Grade III, Jati 3 Primary School, Pulogadung, East Jakarta. For formative evaluation this research used assesment forms such as questionnaire, interview guides, and observation sheets. The formative evaluation covered one-to-one evaluation by expert, one-to-one evaluation by learners, small group evaluation by learners and field test. The result of one-to-one evaluation by expert indicated the overall average of 93,26%. The result of field test indicated the overall average of 99,46%. The result concluded that the development of Pop-up Book for Storytelling shows a very good result

    The research development model of Islamic study self-learning module with religion understanding de-radicalization is to improve students’ ability to understand the teachings of Islam without radicalism. The study began with the development of a preliminary study following the model by Borg & Gall, then the product development followed the procedures of instructional development model (MPI) resulting the final product in the form of self-study module. The validation test and product development were carried out properly according to the procedures, starting from identifying, developing and evaluating and revising. To test the effectiveness of product development, the researcher used two techniques of assessing user’s response and t- test. The results of the effectiveness test show that the module has effectively improved the students’ ability to use the methods of understanding the Islam teachings without radicalism

    This study aimed at determining the culinary skills improvement of learning outcomes making steamed brownies in children with mild mental retardation using explicit instruction learning model. The research was conducted on the students of class XII SMALB-C Kembar Karya I, East Jakarta, with 2 student from September to October 2012. This study used Classroom Action Research with 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. The research success was analyzed individually, one aspect for each student as the development of children with mental retardation can not be compared to other children, but the progress on himself. The results showed that using explicit instruction learning model increases learning outcomes in culinary skills of making steamed brownies for the students with mild mental retardation

    KENDALA PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK DI KELAS RENDAH SEKOLAH DASAR

    Based on the curriculum of the unit level of education or school-based curriculum (KTSP), the thematic earning is designed to be implemented at the lower grades of primary school, namely grade 1, 2, and 3. However, in the Curriculum of 2013 the thematic learning is designed to be applied at all grades from 1st grade to the 6th grade, and even at the higher school levels. The purpose of this study was to describe the constraints faced by the lower grade elementary school teachers in developing the lesson plans, selecting the media, and deciding on the use of the appropriate thematic learning methods. Moreover, this study was to describe the constraints in implementing the thematic learning in the lower grade classrooms. The subjects of this qualitative research were lower grade teachers of elementary school in Bangka Belitung province. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observation, and review of lesson plan documents formulated by the teachers. The results showed, the constraints experienced by the teachers included the difficulty in developing the thematic lesson plan, determining the method, selecting the media, and preparing the evaluation tools. From this study it can be concluded that the application of the thematic learning in lower grades will experience problems if the teachers are not creative and do not have a broad understanding of the selected theme in relation to the subjects combined

    This study aimed to develop a Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) with tutorial model, in shaping students’ sensitivity to the surrounding environment on the local content of Environmental Education which was developed to improve students’ attitudes toward the environment. If the goal of EE is concerned with changes in the attitudes, the Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) Model Tutorial contains learning that can be taken to expose students to environmental problems that exist, then proceed with value clarification, the students are given the opportunity to assess the conditions, make a choice of available solution alternatives and determine the trouble shooting steps that are reinforced by increasing the sample by the CAI program. Therefore, its use is expected to counter environmental issues, particularly fundamental change of students’attitudes toward the environment. This study used employed the research and development method with evaluative models, and experimental research method that is used to produce a particular product in this case Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI)

    KONTRIBUSI PROFESIONALISME DAN KETELADANAN DOSEN TERHADAP NILAI-NILAI KARAKTER MAHASISWA

    At an educational institution student’s character building is done inherently in the instructional process. The purpose of this research was to describe the size of contribution given by the lecturer’s professionalism and model separately and simultaneously to the student’s character. This quantitative research used correlational approach including all all students of The Nursery Program Study at STIK Bina Husada in Palembang as the research population. The students were of the academic year 2013 who had completed Character Education Course with the total number of 78 students. The results showed the significant contribution of the lecture’s professionalism to the student’s character at amount of 0.112. Meanwhile, the lecture’s model had no significant contribution to the student’s character. The lecture’s professionalism and model simultaneously had significant contribution to the student’s character at amount of 0.135. There are some other factors to study further in the student’s character building

    TRAIT KEPRIBADIAN DAN KEPERCAYAAN KONSUMEN UNTUK BERBELANJA PADA TOKO ONLINE

    This study investigated the influence of the interaction between personality traits and consumer trust in online shopping behavior. The study included 120 subjects who ever did shopping in online shop and and lived in Jakarta. The research conducted at july 2013 employed quantitative approach with the regression analysis. The samples were selected using a nonprobability accidental sampling method. The instrument consisted of two scales: consumers trust and scale of big five personality traits. The result showed, there is significant effect between the big five personality traits toward consumers trust for shopping in online shop. Regression equation obtained: Y = 38,315 + 0,044 X1 + 0,076 X2 + 0,406 X3 + 0,269 X4 + 0,067 X5, which means there is a positive effect between the big five personality traits toward consumers trust for shopping in online shop with the value F = 4,618; p = 0,001 < 0.05 (significant). The amount of effect (Adjustment R Square) to the occurrence of the big five personality traits and consumers trust for shopping in online shop is 0,132 meaning the big five personality traits affect the consumers trust for shopping in online shop by 13,2% and the remaining 86,8% affected by another factors, outside of the big five personality traits

    This study aimed at producing a set of contextual-learning based training package for teachers of inclusive school to teach hearing impaired students. The absence of the instructional packages for hearing impaired students and the lack of the teachers’ competence at inclusive school were underlied the need for this research. Borg and Gall’s Research and Development methods were employed in this study and Instructional Development Model (MPI) was applied to develop the package. At the end, the research produced a set of contextual-learning-based training package for teachers to teach hearing impaired students, it included the design of training, user’s guide for instructure and participant, 4 modules with soft-copy (CD) of training materials that had been tested for the effectivity, efficiency, and feasibility.
