Impacts of Social Media as Marketing Communication Tool on Digital Natives
Current work environment governed by technology, with social media as a platform to speed up the process of communication between its users. Users of the platform use technology to communicate, but sharing their ideas, and getting followers are other purposes of having different social media accounts. Digital Natives are the main users of social media, with all activities and elements of social media has impact on their behavior. As a result, researcher believe social media be used as a tool to influence digital native’s attitude. The usage of social media is evident in commercial businesses. Brands use this platform as means to create awareness and impact their customers, which digital natives as one of the most highly impacted population. Through recent and relevant literature, the purpose of this research is to examine social media usage as marketing communication tool, and its impact on digital native’s attitude. The finding of this paper has been driven from different literature, and study aims to develop future research on social media impacts on users and how brands implement their strategies by using driven impacts of social media. Employee Engagement Towards Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance at Bangka Small Tax Office Directorate General of Taxes Ministry of Finance
The Tax Revenue Target of KPP Pratama Bangka, the organization's primary performance indicator in the 2014-2018 period, has never been achieved. Not a few employees experienced a decline in performance after implementing policies by the staffing that occurred at the Bangka Primary Tax Office, which was marked by a designated mutation program. It impacted employee performance and lost satisfaction at work, resulting in loss of employee motivation, which allowed employees to resign themselves from the agency. In addition, this is supported by the existence of agency policies that apply policies to implement targets beyond the capabilities of employees. In this study, we will conduct a study related to employee engagement with the perspective of Hackman & Oldham's characteristic model approach by involving employees of the Bangka Pratama Tax Office. By conducting this study, it is expected to determine that high levels of job dimensions lead to high levels of satisfaction, motivation, performance, and low levels of absenteeism and employee turnover. Developing a Business Logistics to Improve Economics in Rural Area After Covid-19 Pandemic
The SDGs agenda is to solve the problem of poverty and increase food security. Currently, there are 49.41% of poor people who depend on agricultural production in Indonesia. In reality, farmers often do not get benefits that increase poverty. The causes of poverty are cheap selling prices, the presence of speculators, and the unavailability of post-harvest facilities. This condition was exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic which made farmers difficult to sell crops due to social distancing rules. This research proposed a logistics business model in rural areas to selling and distributing agricultural products to consumers. There are six steps in designing a trade logistics network that is suitable for business. The entities will be involved in the rural logistics business model are farmers, rural shops, logistics terminals, sub-terminal logistics which will serve consumers in urban areas. There are five Types of logistics networks that proposed with conventional and e-commerce platform. Based on the Paired t-test, the Type-3-Type-5 pair has mean paired difference higher than the other pairs, about 1.2046 points. Improvement of Inventory Management to Reduce Cost of Buying New Inventory
Natural gas is distributed through gas infrastructure from gas sources to consumers. Gas infrastructure must be maintained to minimize disruption of gas distribution. Inventory has important role to support gas infrastructure reliability especially if replacement of damaged materials is required. This study is conducted at natural gas distribution and transmission company. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the inventory management applied by the company to reduce the cost of purchasing new materials which results in high inventory level in 2020. This study is using the fixed-time period model to determine safety stock level and order quantity should be placed. Pareto analysis is conducted to determine which materials contribute to 80% of total cost of buying new inventory in 2020. There are five materials that contribute the most and be analyzed further. Forecasting simulations are carried out to obtain demand forecasts based by using trend projection method. Trend projection forecasting method using quarterly data provides a lower error than trend projection forecasting method using monthly data. The Role of Marketing Capabilities and Integrative Capabilities for Business Model Innovation in Small Business Indonesian Culinary Sector
This empirical study is about developing business model innovations based on the antecedents of marketing capabilities and integrative capabilities in the culinary sector in Indonesia. Specifically, the respondents used are 136 small-scale businesses from various regions in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out in the range of September 2020 through questionnaires distributed through digital channels. This research is quantitative research by using SMART-PLS as a statistical tool. The research orientation is to see the effect of marketing capability and integrative capability on business model innovation and firm performance, also the effect of business model innovation on performance. The results of this study found that marketing capabilities affect business model innovation and performances. Another finding is integrative capabilities affects business model innovation but does not affect firm performance, and furthermore the construct of the business model innovation itself affects performance. This finding is important for the culinary sector which is the leading sector in the creative economy in Indonesia. The central role of business model innovation is also the orientation of forming a strategic posture for small-scale business actors who are still entrepreneurial in order to make their business to be strategic. How to Maximize Business Planning Using Risk Management A Case Study: Veenaturals
Veenaturals is a business engaged in beauty, especially products used in the lip area. To survive as a newcomer to the beauty industry, Veenaturals must be able to adjust quickly to be much better than its competitors. However, business is not possible without obstacles. In its running, Veenaturals will face a lot of risks that will interfere, both internally and externally. That may happen, because the dynamic of business in the field of beauty runs very quickly. Risk management is based on the Risk Management Process Framework in accordance with the actual circumstances of Veenaturals. Methodology used is through interviews with internal stakeholders to identify risks that come from the internal. Internal parties involved include all departments in Veenaturals. Then from an external point of life, the parties involved are both Veenaturals or similar beauty products. Based on the results of the risk analysis, identified from this study consists of 43 internal and 31 external risks. Based on this risk analysis, Veenaturals will assess its strategy and plan for risk mitigation for the future benefit of the company. The Impact of Micro-Influencer on Brand Image and Purchase Intention on Local Culinary Products in Instagram
Due to the growth of the food industry in SME business, SME business owners often face several issues, and one of them is how to maximize SMEs’ marketing strategy at a low cost. This research analyzes how credibility perceived by micro-influencer impacts a person's purchase intention and how they perceive brands in the food industry. The author employs quantitative approaches to gather data, using judgmental sampling strategies, and PLS-SEM to analyze data. The tool utilized was a questionnaire distributed by 251 respondents online and respondents are specifically followers of foodstagram micro-influencer (@awlaparr). This study reveals a favorable influence of Attractiveness, Expertise, and Trustworthiness on Brand Image; Trustworthiness and Brand Image on Purchase Intention. With the data collected, this study can be claimed to be valuable in presenting solid evidence that Instagram's foodstagram micro-influencer improved brand image and purchase intention in local culinary products. Therefore, micro-influencer deserves to be considered by SMEs as one of the digital marketing tactics to boost their brand image and purchase intention. PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS OF SEMINAR BAG PRODUCTION SYSTEM TO MINIMIZE DELAYS IN PRODUCT DELIVERY (CASE STUDY IN CV. ABC)
CV ABC is a firm involved in the production of bags in Bandung. CV ABC always strives to deliver the highest quality products and on-time delivery service in satisfying customer wishes. One product with the highest manufacturing demand on CV ABC is the seminar bag. In 2018, the seminar bag became the product with the highest demand but became the product that caused the company's biggest loss. The business encountered a reduction in profit Rp 77.934.000 due to late shipment of the product. Based on the issues, Current Reality Tree is used to define the key factors that cause delays in the product's shipment that lead the business to lose. Then it was discovered that no procurement plans, no production planning, no standard processes, no resource management and poor design facilities caused the delay. After understanding the key factors that cause delays in the product's shipment, alternative solutions are suggested. Proposed alternative solutions are forecasting for core suppliers, selecting new suppliers using Analytical Hierarchy Process method, determining worker demands, improving facilities layout, designing Standard Operating Procedures and recruitment processes, and combining all alternative alternatives. Then, comparison is created between alternative solutions that contain the total loss decrease and the solution's effectiveness. The discussion was performed with CV ABC to find the best alternative solution. The findings of the discussion show that the business selecting the best alternative solution for the short term that will be implemented is to add the number of workers. The addition of workers can decrease losses by Rp 37.140.000 with an effectiveness rate of 75 percent. PROPOSED VALUE ADDED AND MARKETING STRATEGY IMPROVEMENT FOR INDONESIAN SPECIALTY COFFEE
Indonesia as a country that located in the coffee belt, produce coffee with various characteristics. High number of coffee production in Indonesia is not comparable with the income that the roastery get because Indonesia consumption of coffee still dominated by commercial coffee or low-quality coffee. To increase the income of coffee roastery can be done with increase the consumption of high-quality coffee or what it is called specialty coffee. But then, consumption of Indonesian specialty coffee is still low. Objectives of the research is to collect the related information for the Indonesian specialty coffee roastery, taste preference of Indonesian coffee drinker, also to find the right marketing strategy for roastery to increase the consumption of specialty coffee in Indonesia. The methods used in this research are blind cupping as the primary data and literature review as secondary data. As solution of the problem, marketing strategy programs that are used, include product development, allow and encourage the stakeholders to collaborate in creating a value experience to involve the customer. Consumers experience will stimulate their knowledge and interest in Indonesian specialty coffee. Leadership Style and Effectiveness Among Management Students: A Comparative Study Among Two University
In Indonesia, the vision mission statement and curriculum of university are varied. There may be differences perspective of leadership style among the management students that came from different vision, mission, and curriculum of a university. This research aims to do comparative study of the leadership style and effectiveness of two different universities management students in Indonesia using Situational Leadership Model by Hersey and Blanchard. This research was conducted by distributing LEAD questionnaires that already being adapted to management students of ITB and USU. The research samples consist of the total number of 180 students from the two universities. The answer from the questionnaires interpreted by the table matrix. The effectiveness score compared by using T-test from SPSS. The result of this comparative study shown that management students from ITB and USU have the same dominant leadership style that is Coaching Style. This research also finds that both universities’ management students still indicate a low level of leadership style effectiveness and adaptability leadership. Based on the result of this research, both universities expected to encourage students to learn and understand deeply about situational leadership style.Keywords: Comparative Study, Situational Leadership Model, Management Student
