    Bung Hatta was the proclaimer of independence, first vice president of the Republic of Indonesia. He was also a scientist and a very prolific writer with his work in various fields of study. His works discuss economic issues, cooperation, politics, law, philosophy, religion, and others. Out of 163 titles of his writings, 69 titles (4.2(X) are available in Hatta Corner, not including translations and works that may still be issued. Bibliographic data of his works are largely obtained from the online catalog of various institutions; i.e. OCLC World Cat 46 titles, Bibliography by the Idayu Foundation 26 titles, NLA 8 titles, Hathitrust 5 titles, the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia 4 titles, JSTOR 4 titles, and Bihliotheek Arnhem 1 title. There are 8 titles ofBung Hatta's works that have been translated into various languages, including Bung Hatta defense manuscript while he was in jail and would face the Hague trihunal, in March 1928, entitled 7ndonesie Vrij!". His most productive period was in the decade of 1951-1960, aged 49-58, with as many as 47 titles of writing. His greatest contributions were in the field of human rights, political and social economy. His works became guide for the governance of the Republic ofIndonesia

    This research aims to find out the preparedness of libraries in facing disasters caused either human or natural factors. Disasters caused human factors are fire, theft and various kinds of acts of vandalism, while disasters caused by natural factors are earthquakes, floods and the threat of devastating animal collection. The research method used in the study is qualitative field research. Data were obtained through observation and note-taking, as well as participation in the activities. Disaster preparedness activities were conducted in stages, prevention, response, reaction and recovery. These activities included filling up visit book, CCTV cameras, availability of portable fire extinguisher and SOP (standard operating procedure) that put priority in securing the collection, repair, creation of data backup and recovery, media transfer, procurement of collection and extensive simulation handling of fire and other emergency conditions

    This study aims to examine the utilization of e-journals in EBSCO database "Business Source Complete" and ProQuest "ABI / INFORM Collection" as the citation in the writing of theses and dissertations by the students of Master of Science and Doctor of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada 2014-2015. This quantitative descriptive study used documentation method for data collection. Data analysis used frequency tabulation and percentage calculation of Kerlinger's formulas. The results showed that the availability of journals in the EBSCO database for the preparation of theses and dissertations was higher than in ProQuest. The degree of duplication of availability of journals both in EBSCO and ProQuest for the preparation of theses and dissertations of all majors was 24.88% and 27.81% respectively. Journals published between 2001-2010 was more highly utilized. Overall the utilization of these two databases was low

    A university library as a learning space should put learning as a major issue. As the organization itself, university library needs to measure its quality as a learning organization for members of the organization and as a learning space for the academic community, in order to live sustainably in the process of changing learning trends. The quantitative method was applied in this study using benchmarking model of Garvin's learning organization. The results show that UGM Library has transformed to be a learning organization. Most of the indicators have reached, whereas some others are still below the standard of benchmark. Meanwhile there was difference in score based on level of education. The study was the first time conducted at UGM Library within a certain period of time; therefore there is no description of comparison process between the past and now. In the future its is expected there is further measurement to identify the development of preparedness of UGM Library as a learning organization

    This study aimed to: (1) find out soft skills of library staff at the Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta; (2) identify excellent services of the Library; (3) identify the influence of the soft skills of library staff to the excellent services of the Library. The study used quantitative descriptive method. The population of the study consisted of all members of the Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM Library registered until February 2016, with the total number comprising 5,990 users. The sampling used accidental sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used mean and grand mean, Product Moment Correlation and Simple Linear Regression. The data were processed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22. The results of this study showed that the soft skills of library staff at the Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM belonged to good category as indicated from the calculation of the mean and grand mean of 2.97. Meanwhile the excellent services at the Library of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM also belonged to good category, as indicated from the calculation of the mean and the grand mean of 3.01. The level of correlation was significant with a value of 0.692. The direction of correlation was positive and correlation level was strong

    Universitas Gadjah Mada Library provides various information resources either in printed or electronic formats. The Library has subscribed to electronic information resources in the form of ejournal databases. The availability and utilization of these resources need to be evaluated. This study is a citation analysis of theses of the students from science and technology cluster of Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2015. It is aimed at identifying: 1) types of information resources used by the students in thesis writing, 2)intensity of the utilization of e-journal information resources by the students, and 3) the availability of the required information in the databases subscribed by UGM Library. The object of the study consisted of 7,925 citation derived from 222 theses of the students from science and technology cluster UGM. Data were obtained from documentation. This study used citation analysis to analyze all citations. The result of the study showed types of information resources used by the students in thesis writing were books, journals, theses, websites, proceedings, government regulations/acts, others (maps, learning materials, guides to laboratory practice), research reports and dissertations and papers. Books were information resources mostly used. Journals utilized in thesis writing comprised as much as 25% (1,997 citations) and 84% (1,685 citations) of the journals were English. As many as 1,078 citations (64%) were available and 607 citations (36%) unavailable in the journals subscribed by UGM Library

    Keterlibatan Penulis dalam Artikel pada ”Buletin Psikologi” Universitas Gadjah Mada

    Scientific publications in universities is one of the criteria in determining the value of accreditation. Faculty of Psychology has published two periodic publications, one of which is a Buletin Psikologi. Nevertheless occur ups and downs in its publication, because it can not be denied that the sustainability of periodical publications need the support of academicians. This study aims to determine how the author of the article on the involvement of Buletin Psikologi publishing period 1993-2014. Method used descriptive quantitative study, collecting data by the method of documentation. Subject study is published in Psychological Bulletin 1993-2014, with the object of study is the author name of articlesthat was published in the publication during the period. Analysis of the data by way of data tabulation and frequency tables created using the percentage calculation. The results showed that during the period 1993-2014 has been publishing 199 articles, with the highest percentage in 2008 amounted to 6.53%. Presentation of articles during this period has involved 117 authors name. Authors can get involved as a first author, second author, and the third author. The highest frequency of the author's involvement as the first author, achieved by Dicky Hastjarjo that is equal to 7.53%. In the next rank achieved by Faturochman by 6.53%. In addition Faturochman also reached the highest percentage of 2% in its involvement as a second author. Based on the agency of origin, distribution engagement authors show that the percentage author of the article lower (41.02%), while the author of the outside is higher (58.97%). However, the percentage of articles written by authors of the higher (67.83%) than those written by authors from outside (31.65%). Datacollaboration of authors showed that the highest percentage (2.01%) contained in the publication in 2010

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatn jurnal elektronik dan meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik berdasarkan teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang dikembangkan oleh Davis (1989) yang sudah teruji sebagai tolok ukur dalam tujuan dan perilakuk individu dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Penelitian menambahkan faktor-faktor eksternal complexity, user training dan self efficacy selain menggunakan variabel standar TAM yaitu perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, intention of use, dan actual to use. Seratus mahasiswa yang menggunakan jurnal elektronik menjadi responden dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan partial least square (PLS) untuk menjelaskan ada atau tidaknya hubungan antar variabel.
