    Creating Marketing Strategy to Develop the Best Child Growth and Development Clinic in Indonesia: Case Study of PT. Klinik Lalita Indonesia

    Abstract: Indonesia population is growing fast. According to Profil Kesehatan Indonesia 2015, there are 4.883.184 new babies born every year. Most of the babies grow healthy, but approximately 13% of them will have some form of growth or development disorder. This disorder will diminish the quality of our future generation if not properly treated. In order to solve this problem, PT. Klinik Lalita Indonesia develop special clinic for child growth and development named Klinik Lalita. In the market, there are several hospitals offering examination and therapy fo child growth and development disorders. With minimum capital, Klinik Lalita must develop effective marketing strategy to compete with hospitals with bigger capital. To develop proper marketing strategy, writer do several analysis: Customer problem, Strategi Canvas, Porter Five Forces Analysis, TOWS Analysis, and 7P Marketing Mix Analysis. From that analysis, writer conclude that the best strategy for Klinik Lalita is Focus Differentiation Strategy. The strategy can be broken down into several points: Focus only on child growth and development services; Maintaining good examination and therapy scheduling; choosing clinic location with strategic access, and Choosing clinic with vast parking space.Keyword : Child growth and development disorders, Klinik Lalita, PT.     Proposed Business Model and Strategy Development for Radix Guitars

    Abstract – Radix Guitars is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry with the main product is the guitar. Radix was founded in 2008, having previously used the brand Marlique. After eight years of operation, Radix realize that their business activities only from selling guitar and benefit less than optimal. Lack of brand awareness encourages Radix to formulate business strategy for the survival of its business. To address these issues, an analysis of external conditions using PEST analysis, Porter's Five Forces and Competitor Analysis. As for internal analysis, using VRIO framework analysis and examine business model canvas that is currently running by Radix. All of these analyses are summarized in SWOT analysis to be used as a basis for strategy formulation. Radix Guitars has competent resources to create quality products and face the competition.     Conducting Concept Test as a Part of Product Development to Achieve Product/Market Fit for Jola Skirt House

    Abstract – Fashion is a business sector that never dies. In Indonesia, out of 2.5 million companies in creative sectors, 1.3 million are in fashion industry, where they contributed to 50% of National GDP. Jola Skirt House decided to do something about the statistic and enter this industry. Jola targets niche market with a unique differentiated product, but is facing problems upon entering the market. The sales number is decreasing, stocks are piling up, only one product dominates the sales count and it seems like current customers are saturated without new product. A question emerged: has Jola products achieved product-market fit? To answer the question, 5 people were interviewed. From this step, it was found that both product-market fit and problem-solution fit were confirmed. Hence, the next step of the research is doing product-development to achieve product-market fit for the new products. Because of the limitation, this research only covers the concept-test in a form of a photoshop-rendered design of the products. A total of 14 people was surveyed and asked to evaluate, rate and decide three product designs for Jola’s new collection. From the survey results and analysis, only the first product achieved a threshold of 80% positive feedback while both second and third product only received 64% positive feedback. In conclusion, the first product can proceed directly to product development, undergoing sample production, product test and real production. The second and third designs will need to be re-tested before deciding if it should proceed to product development.Keywords : Fashion, Creative industry, Product-market fit, Product development, Concept-tes

    Abstract – PT. Agrikulture Indonesia is a cattle importer and feedlot that is located in Bogor, Indonesia. The company started the business in 2009 by importing cattle from Australia and recently, the feedlot has a capacity of seven thousand cattle. These cattle approximately yield seventy thousand kilograms manure every day and the company processes it into organic fertilizer. However, there is a difficulty in selling this big amount of fertilizer due to the lack of knowledge about the industry. This study attempts to answer three questions, i.e. the fertilizer industry analysis in Indonesia, the alternative solutions for the cattle manure problem in Agrikulture and the strategy for monetizing its waste. In order to answer these questions, the author firstly makes the business situation analysis using external and internal analysis. Secondly, the research methodology is the combination of questionnaire and interview with the related stakeholders in the agriculture industry. Thirdly, the strategy formulation is derived from the Diamond Strategy and TOWS Matrix. Lastly, the strategy formulation that consists of a new business model canvas and strategic control. (i) to continue on selling the fertilizer by improving the fertilizer business unit, and/or (ii) to create a crop farm project together with a strategic partner. The recommended strategy for monetizing the waste in Agrikulture is to create a crop farm project with a strategic partner. By benefiting its economies of scale, Agrikulture can offer low price product in bulk quantity. The company should prioritize the crops that can be benefiting its cattle feedmill and reduce its food cost in the future. The strategic partner is very important for Agrikulture to minimize the project cost and risk.  

    The Role of Government in Off-Grid Rural Electrification Based on Renewable Energy in Indonesia

    Abstract. Until the end of 2015, Indonesia's electrification ratio only reached 88.3% leaving the part of nation communities not enjoyed electricity. Most of them located in remote village, border-states area and isolated islands. The electricity system in Indonesia which only involves little private sector cause the rural electrification rely on the shoulders of the government. The government choose to implement rural electrification programs based on renewable energy (RE). This role is carried out by the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation. The purpose of this program is mainly to increase the electrification ratio while promoting RE as a solution for remote villages. This study aims to understand the policy implementation according to the policy cycle. The advantages of qualitative methods used to collect and analyze data. Indonesia multilevel system of government and involving multi-stakeholders has been a challenge for the implementation of this policy. Unfortunately the government was only set short-term goals, to increase the electrification ratio. Rural communities as a user and a major stakeholder not fully engaged and have only treated as an object of beneficiaries. The low engagement of rural communities become major barrier for the sustainability of RE rural electrification program. The recommendation from the findings are to redesign the program to be consistent with sustainability indicator developed with logic model approach.Keywords: renewable energy, rural electrification, public policy, sustainability

    Abstract. Introduction: Fast-moving consumer goods industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years. This phenomenon provides both opportunity and threat to the companies in the industry. Companies must be able to provide high quality product consistently, as well as continuous innovation to sustain their competitive advantage. One of the tools that can be used to do it is by implementing knowledge management practices to improve business performance. However, many companies still have limited understanding about knowledge management and its implementation. Methods: A proper strategy is needed to implement knowledge management in the company effectively. According to Stan Garfield (2007), knowledge management can be implemented in five steps, which are determining the top three objectives, answering the nine questions, defining nine knowledge management strategy, gaining leader’s commitment, and creating an implementation plan. Results: Through a proper implementation of knowledge management initiatives, companies should be able to optimize the knowledge they have inside, integrate it into daily business activities, and make improvements where necessary. It would streamline the process of acquiring new knowledge, sharing it inside the company, and retaining that knowledge. Conclusion: knowledge management is crucial in the company to prevent knowledge loss.     Business Strategy Development for HAWS Home Accessories

    Abstract - Haws is a new-comers in home décor industry. The company started to enter the competition in the middle of 2015. As a new entrant in the industry, the company realizes the competition in the industries is very high, moreover the new entrants keep increasing due to the low barrier entry. Haws sales not increase significantly as targeted and the company realize they need strategy to challenge the competition. Thus, the purpose of this research is to develop business strategy for Haws. This research is using the combination of qualitative by interviews with related parties, and quantitative method by distributing questionnaire to know the importance level of variables in buying home décor product and the performance of Haws. The result shows 10 variables, which are design, service, product quality, price, delivery time, how to order, product availability, packaging, brand, and product choices that has significant effect for customers. Those variables will be interpreted using Diamond strategy. The final results of the research shows, Haws needs to maintain and improve the custom service, because it is as their value from competitors. Haws should maintain the price and develop the quality in order to preserve their customers with greater value benefits. To make sure a good service to the customer, Haws can make a customer feedback form to know about their performance and able to improve based on what customer wants, and hire new staff to handle the service in the future. Make a SOP for production is needed, so the product will be distribute and deliver to customer appropriate with the time estimated. In terms of adding new products can be done by doing collaboration with other brands because it can grab the market, lower cost, and also lower risk. After having many variety of products, Haws can make a website so customer have another alternative to put the order.     Abstract - According to IT blueprint, the development of knowledge management is planned to begin in 2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. However, the unavailability of the road map for the KM implementation plan has resulted in the organization lacking guidelines for strategizing, designing, developing and implementing KM initiatives. Knowledge Management (KM) is an effort to improve knowledge that is beneficial to the organization. BPH Migas as a regulator that produces regulations required by stakeholders should maximize its ability to effectively utilize its knowledge resources in order to be able to make decisions quickly and effectively. Implementing knowledge management can help BPH Migas become more productive, innovative, efficient and more adaptable to the ever-changing business environment. Implementation of KM is influenced by critical factors. Identifying the critical factors will facilitate and simplify monitoring to focus on some key areas that are considered important. The purposes of the study are to identify the critical factors affecting the successful implementation of KM, determine the current situation in terms of KM and use the identified factors to improve knowledge management implementation plans at BPH Migas. Researcher uses the General Knowledge Management Maturity Model (G – KMMM) framework as a model to measure the level of knowledge management maturity, which consists of 3 (three) categories of measurement ie people, process and technology. The research findings showed that the maturity level of BPH Migas was at the Defined level.     Abstract. Digital technology is cannot be separated from human life. Nowadays most of the human activities are using a smartphone. Related to hobbies or commonly called digital lifestyles, such as playing games, watching videos, and listening to music can easily be accessed using a smartphone. Based on Annie's app in 2018, Indonesia ranks first as the country that uses the smartphone for the longest time. using a smartphone with an average of 4 hours of smartphone use a day for playing games, watching videos, and listening to music can easily be accessed using a smartphone. This circumstance becomes an opportunity for telecommunication companies to support Indonesia's digital lifestyle improvement by providing services and product related. Listening songs with music streaming on smartphones are the largest mobile activity in Indonesia. However Telkomsel have music streaming product, Langit Musik as a Indonesia music streaming application, is still facing a difficulty on acquiring and maintain their users where monthly active user for Langit Musik from App Annie in 2018 shows that the monthly number of active users of Langit Musik for 6 months dropped from 400,000 users to 155,000 users and the position of Langit Musik application among the competitors is the lowest. To analyze this problem, there are several analysis that has been done to analyze the current condition of Langit Musik. The first step is to analyze the internal condition of Langit Musik, second is to analyze the external force of the company. Next, is to analyze the Langit Musik problem using thematic frames work; Customer Journey to analyze for the Customer of Langit Musik and The Five's Analysis for those who have not used the Langit Musik Application.     Business strategy recommendation of pt edc indonesia to survive in geothermal tender stage

    Abstract - The purpose of this research is to propose a new business strategy for company to survive in the industry. PT EDC Indonesia is an energy development company, which focus on geothermal resources and convert it to electricity. The company established in 2011 and already did 1 stage from geothermal development stage. Indonesia is the world's third largest geothermal electricity producer after United States and the Philippines and the second largest that have geothermal reserves. Indonesia holds 40% of the world's potential geothermal resources beneath thousand of volcanic islands and mountain. Although Indonesia has a huge geothermal potential, the utilization of geothermal energy is very low. Indonesia only utilizes 3.7% from their fully potential. However with the opportunity arises the company still aren't able to cultivate the geothermal resources. In dealing with challenges, some method is needed in order to perform PESTEL Analysis and Porter's Five Forces Analysis. Internal assessment was done using VRIO Framework, Market and Industry Analysis, and Resource Based View. Strategy formulation uses SPACE Matrix and QSPM with SWOT as an input. PT EDC Indonesia is in the quadrant IV and has four options of alternative strategies. Researchers are only taking two alternative strategies that support their research in accordance to their problems, which are intensive strategy and integrative strategy. To know these alternative strategies, the result QSPM is an intensive strategy. The next step is to analyze the Diamond Strategy to formulate new ideas that correspond to its functional strategy. In the end, this strategy will be implemented to follow and win the tender. The new strategy resulting from the analysis of this study including prepare all the data for preliminary survey, make computerized financial statement, prepare financial projections, and hire local experts employee.
