Pembacaan Social Identity Theory terhadap 1 Korintus 8 untuk Memahami Isu Makanan yang Dipersembahkan kepada Berhala
No full textAbstract. 1 Corinthians 8, as one of the most popular biblical texts, has been understood differently through different approaches. This paper also applied a different approach, namely Social Identity Theory (SIT), to offer a different interpretation of the text, especially in understanding the issue of food that has been offered to idols. The results from the SIT reading showed that 1 Corinthians 8 describes Paul's way of resolving the binary conflict caused by the food that had been offered to idols. The conflict is more of an inter-class conflict within the Corinthian congregation.Abstrak. 1 Korintus 8, sebagai salah satu teks Alkitab yang popular, telah dipahami secara berbeda-beda melalui berbagai pendekatan yang berbeda pula. Tulisan ini juga menggunakan pendekatan yang berbeda, yaitu Social Identity Theory (SIT), untuk memberikan pemaknaan yang berbeda terhadap teks tersebut terutama dalam memahami isu makanan yang telah dipersembahkan kepada berhala. Hasil dari pembacaan dengan pendekatan SIT menunjukkan bahwa 1 Korintus 8 mendeskripsikan cara Paulus menyelesaikan konflik binary yang disebabkan oleh makanan yang telah dipersembahkan kepada berhala. Konflik tersebut lebih merupakan konflik antar-kelas dalam tubuh jemaat di Korintus

No full textAbstract. This article attempts to enrich the varieties of reading methods of psalm. The enrichment is conducted using an approach called poetic-affective criticism. Poetic-affective criticism is a method of reading a lament psalm by seriously paying attention to the elements in lament psalms, such as major characteristics of Hebrew poetry, lament, feeling, the concept of God, and mood. Applying poetic-affective criticism to Psalm 3 produces different meaning from that was suggested by most scholars. By this study it was revealed that psalmist succeeds in dealing with physical and verbal assaults against the psalmist because God is a shield of the psalmist. In and through the suffering, the psalmist is able to know God as a shield that protects the psalmist.Abstrak. Artikel ini merupakan suatu upaya untuk memperkaya keragaman metode penafsiran mazmur. Pengayaan itu dilakukan dengan memakai suatu pendekatan penelitian puitis-afektif (poetic-affective criticism). Penelitian puitis-afektif adalah metode pembacaan mazmur ratapan dengan memperhatikan unsur-unsur terkandung dalam mazmur ratapan seperti karakteristik utama puisi Ibrani, yaitu keluhan, perasaan, konsep Allah dan perubahan suasana teks (mood). Penerapan penelitian puitis-afektif terhadap Mazmur 3 dapat menghasilkan pemaknaan berbeda dengan tafsiran kebanyakan penafsir. Dalam hal ini terungkap pemazmur berhasil menghadapi serangan fisik dan perkataan terhadap dirinya karena Allah adalah perisainya. Melalui dan di dalam penderitaannya pemazmur mengenal Allah sebagai perisai yang melindunginya
Membangun Solidaritas Poros Tengah Bagi Buruh Berdasarkan Pemikiran Jon Sobrino
No full textAbstract. This article aimed to construct an idea of solidarity for Indonesian labor, which is currently struggling more and more severely in the post pandemic. The laborers become more desperate for decent work and prosperity. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurs must deal with some expenditure efficiency along with the market slowdown. Conducted by the literature study method, this research employed Jon Sobrino's concept of solidarity to analyze this issue. It then proposed the idea of solidarity of the central axis as an alternative bridge for the needs of workers and entrepreneurs. This solidarity began with a consciousness to commiserate with the others’ dilemmatic considerations, then strive to empower others and jointly celebrate life.Abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkonstruksi gagasan solidaritas untuk perburuhan Indonesia yang saat ini berjuang semakin hebat pasca pandemi. Keinginan buruh untuk bekerja dan sejahtera diperhadapkan dengan tuntutan pasar yang seolah memaksa pengusaha untuk melakukan efisiensi di situasi ekonomi yang sedang sulit. Dengan metode studi pustaka, penelitian ini menjadikan gagasan solidaritas dari Jon Sobrino sebagai basis pemikiran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan urgensi solidaritas poros tengah yang dapat menjembatani kepentingan buruh dan pengusaha. The goal of this article is to discover Apophthegmata Patrum in terms of the answers given in the sayings of the Desert Fathers. Silence and hesychia are crucial elements of monastic life, as are the elements of spiritual perfection such as the purification of sins, or logismoi, the renunciation of the world, or repose, listening to and loving God, and discovering the Kingdom of God within the heart. No full textAbstract. Sumbanese women often experience silencing in their lives so that they are unable to speak out including on the violence they experience. This silencing also occurs in the field of pastoral care, because it has been going on for long, causes women to be unable to speak up and tell their problems, even when given the opportunity to speak once. It is, therefore, necessary to think of creative ways, other than verbal conversation, to encourage women, especially those who have experienced violence, to tell their stories using cultural elements that are around them and that they live with on a daily live, namely woven fabric. Woven fabric is one example of the use of art as a medium in pastoral counseling. For this reason, a description and analysis of art therapy and Sumba woven fabric from a feminist perspective was carried out. The results of the analysis showed that art therapy through Sumbanese woven cloth can encourage the involvement (emancipation) of women victims of violence in efforts to discover and heal themselves.Abstrak. Perempuan Sumba sering mengalami pembungkaman dalam kehidupan mereka sehingga mereka tidak mampu bersuara termasuk atas kekerasan yang mereka alami. Pembungkaman ini juga terjadi dalam bidang pendampingan pastoral, yang karena sudah terlalu lama berlangsung, menyebabkan kaum perempuan tidak mampu untuk berbicara dan menceritakan masalah mereka, bahkan ketika diberi kesempatan bicara sekali pun. Karena itu perlu dipikirkan cara-cara kreatif, selain bentuk percakapan verbal, untuk mendorong kaum perempuan, secara khusus mereka yang mengalami kekerasan untuk bercerita dengan menggunakan unsur budaya yang ada di sekitar mereka dan yang mereka hidupi sehari-hari, yaitu kain tenun. Kain tenun menjadi salah satu contoh penggunaan seni sebagai media dalam konseling pastoral. Untuk itu akan dilakukan deskripsi dan analisis tentang terapi seni dan kain tenun Sumba dari perpektif feminis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terapi seni melalui kain tenun Sumba dapat mendorong keterlibatan (emansipasi) perempuan korban kekerasan dalam upaya penemuan dan penyembuhan dirinya
Kebaktian Pembaharuan Janji Baptis: Sebuah Perwujudan Integrasi Ibadah dan Penggembalaan
No full textAbstract. This article discusses the importance of the worship service for renewing the baptismal promise. Such renewal can be seen as a way of integrating worship and pastoral ministry for the strengthening of Christian identity. Christian identity marked by baptism has been viewed as a formality and God’s people become a spectator. The promise made in baptism as an important milestone of discipleship has slowly lost its influence because many forget it. Thus, the church needs to guide the people into the process of renewing such a promise. This study was conducted by literature research methods to analyze the biblical-theological meaning of Jesus' baptism in Matthew 3:13-17. The results of this study showed that baptismal vows need to be renewed continuously and facilitated through the holding of religious services. The service of renewing baptismal promises is not a re-baptization but the maintenance of the meaning and power of the baptism that has been received.Abstrak. Artikel ini membahas pentingnya kebaktian pembaharuan janji baptis sebagai wujud integratif antara ibadah dan penggembalaan demi penguatan identitas Kristiani. Identitas yang ditandai melalui ritual baptisan seringkali dipandang sebatas formalitas dan diikuti sebagai tontonan bagi umat yang sudah dibaptis. Janji baptis sebagai tonggak awal kemuridan menjadi kurang berpengaruh dalam perjalanan iman karena sudah dilupakan. Gereja perlu menuntun umat Allah ke dalam momen pembaharuan janji baptis dalam konteks kebaktian demi memelihara kesinambungan komitmen sebagai komunitas murid Kristus. Kajian ini menggunakan metode riset literatur untuk menganalisa makna biblis-teologis baptisan Yesus dalam Matius 3:13-17. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa janji baptis perlu dibaharui secara kontinu dan difasilitasi lewat pelaksanaan kebaktian. Kebaktian pembaharuan janji baptisan bukanlah pembatisan ulang namun pemeliharan makna dan kekuatan baptisan yang telah diterima
