Phenomenon/Issue : Students in education programs at FEB UNESA face various factors influencing their decision to pursue teaching careers. Despite many external and internal influences, socialization and self-perception play key roles in shaping these choices. Purpose: To analyze the influence of socialization on teaching career choices through self-perception among students of the Education Study Program at FEB UNESA. Research Methods : Quantitative explanatory research using a survey of 172 students (cohort 2021). Data were analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the GSCA approach. Results : Socialization significantly affects teaching career choices both directly and indirectly through self-perception. Socialization also significantly impacts self-perception, and self-perception significantly influences teaching career choices. The model shows a strong explanatory power (R² = 0.838 for career choice; R² = 0.819 for self-perception). Research Contributions : This study extends the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) by highlighting the role of socialization and self-perception in career decision-making. The findings provide theoretical and practical insights for educational institutions to support students’ motivation and readiness for teaching career

    Get PDF
Phenomenon/Issue: The phenomenon explored in this study is the digital divide and its impact on elementary education, specifically how disparities in access to technology and digital literacy training affect student learning outcomes. In many developing regions, such as rural areas in Indonesia, schools face a significant lack of digital infrastructure, which prevents students from benefiting from technology-enhanced learning. Furthermore, even in urban areas where digital tools are available, gaps in teacher development hinder the effective integration of technology into classroom instruction. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the digital divide and teacher development challenges intersect to affect educational outcomes in elementary schools. Novelty: This research is novel in its focus on the interplay between the digital divide and teacher development, an area that is often addressed separately in education research. Research Methods: This study adopts a qualitative research approach, utilizing semi-structured interviews with teachers and administrators, as well as classroom observations to gather in-depth insights. Thematic analysis is used to identify key patterns and challenges related to digital access and teacher development. Results: The results indicate that while access to technology is a major barrier in rural schools, even in urban settings, inadequate teacher training hampers the effective use of digital tools. Teacher development, especially in digital literacy, emerges as a critical factor in bridging the digital divid

    Get PDF
Phenomenon/Issue:This research addresses the gap in digital transformation in MSME administration, particularly the lack of easily accessible digital tools in rural areas such as Banyumas Regency, which hinders modernization. Purpose:  The goal is to develop Digi-Ice, an integrated application that combines archive management, correspondence, product cataloging, and social media integration to transform SMEs into technology-based offices. Novelty: Its main innovation lies in the rural-specific design, the integration of administrative functions and digital business, and the collaboration between Jenderal Soedirman University and MSME actors. As the first Android-compatible application, Digi-Ice reaches rural users with high accessibility. Research Methods: The research method uses the R&D model by Mckenney & Reeves (2013) through three stages: problem analysis, design, and iterative implementation. Data were collected through closed questionnaires (validated by media experts) and trials on 40 SMEs Results: The validation results showed a feasibility score of 82.3% (experts) and 82.07% (users), confirming the application's effectiveness. The main advantages include structured archiving, social media integration, and Android compatibility, although there are limitations such as reliance on the internet and the absence of an iOS version. Research Contributions: The research contributes to the digital transformation literacy of MSMEs with empirical evidence, and supports the mission of universities and the government in rural economic development. Digi-Ice has become a replicable model for local technology interventions, strengthening the competitiveness of national MSMEs in line with Indonesia's digitalization agenda

Phenomenon/Issue : The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced various aspects of human life, including education. ChatGPT, as a popular AI tool, is increasingly used by students in the learning process, yet its level of use and acceptance among students varies due to psychological factors and user perceptions. Purpose : To examine the influence of awareness and enjoyment on the acceptance of ChatGPT among first-year students using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. Research Methods : A quantitative approach using a survey of 145 first-year students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) method. Results : Awareness and enjoyment significantly affect perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU). Perceived usefulness (PU) significantly influences behavioral intention to use (BITU), while perceived ease of use (PEOU) does not have a significant effect on behavioral intention to use (BITU). Research Contributions : The study expands the theoretical framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integrating the effects of awareness and enjoyment in explaining technology adoption, particularly in the context of ChatGPT use in education. The findings also provide insights for curriculum design and educational policy to enhance the benefits of AI technology in learning processe

Phenomenon/Issue: The problem in this study discusses how E-Markel, which is one of the e-modules, and digital literacy skills and learning motivation in improving student learning outcomes. Purpose: The purpose of our research is to emphasize efforts to understand how learning using e-modules such as E-Markel combined with their digital literacy skills can affect motivation in learning and mastery of e-modules, so that it will have an impact on their learning outcomes. Novelty: The main innovation emphasized in this study is to reveal the relationship between technology-based learning media, digital literacy and learning motivation in improving learning outcomes. Research Methods: The approach used is quantitative with the type of explanatory descriptive research, with a research sample of 106 respondents. Data collection using a google form with a questionnaire using a 7-point likert scale, and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. Results: The outer model shows that each statement has a good validity value [factor loading > 0.70] and a good reliability value [Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability appear to have a value of > 0.70], in addition to the discriminant validity value also shows a significant difference between constructs [HTMT < 0.90]. Furthermore, the inner value of the model is known to be that all regression pathways are also significant [p-value < 0.05], and the mediating effect has a complementary effect. Research Contributions: Research Contributions: The implication of this research is more to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of collaboration between e-modules, digital literacy and learning motivation to student learning outcome
