    THEURAPETIC RIDING UNTUK ANAK-ANAK BERMASALAH PEMBELAJARAN

    Theurapeutic riding is a physical treatment strategies where the movement of horses used to improve posture, balance and common development of mankind with or without difficulties. North American Riding Association and the American Handicaped Hippotherapy Association defines therapeutic horse riding as the use of movement as a tool by a physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech therapist to deal with disabilities, limited function and the disabled as well as in those with neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunction. Special Education Department Malaysia categorize children with special needs, such as impaired, with visual and learning disabilities that is slow to learn, down syndrome, hyperactivity, dyslexia, autism and cerebal palsy. This paper aims to identify the benefits of therapeutic riding on the development of social skills and emotional skills in children with learning disabilities. This is a qualitative study using in-depth interviews, participant observation and document analysis as tools to get the datas. There were two theurapeutic riding instructors and a physiotherapist at the Riding for the Disabled Association Malaysia - Bukit Kiara - Kuala Lumpur as research participant in this study.     Self-Management Untuk Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan Belajar Siswa: Studi Kasus di SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh

    Discipline is one of the important aspects of an individual's life. This study aims was to examine and analyze the level of learning the discipline of the student in SMAN 5 Banda Aceh before and after groups counseling service using self-management techniques and to determine whether there is a significant increase learning discipline between before and after self-management techniques. The quantitative approach with the pre-experiment, one group pre-post test design was performed in this study. Samples were taken by purposive sampling as much as 10 students of the 30 students that suspected of having a low level of learning discipline. The collecting data were used a learning discipline questionnaires by using Likert Scale 1-4. Data were analyzed by non-parametric statistical test (Sign test). The results showed that the level of the student's learning discipline was increased after given self-management techniques as many as 10 treatments, with a mean pre-post test 150.7 147.5 i.e. from the low category to a higher category, with a positive change. Based on binomial table where n= 10 and p 0.05, the probability of X 10 is 0.001. It is concluded that the self-management techniques can improve students learning discipline

    The effective and efficient Quran learning management is a supporting factor to achieve the goal of learning the Quran in school in order to produce Quranic generation. The purpose of this study was to find out the planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles in learning the Quran at the Nurul Ishlah Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT Nurul Ishlah) of Banda Aceh.This study used the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection were the interview, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were principal and Quranic teachers at the SDIT Nurul Ishlah.The results of the study were: (1) the planning was formulated by teachers based on the curriculum set by the school, but some teachers were not able to plan effectively in the learning; (2) The implementation of learning the Quran applied by SDIT Nurul Ishlah was in accordance with activities planned, the teachers gave motivation to the students by using various methods and learning media starting from beginning the activity with praying and revising memorization of the Quran classically. In main activity, the students performed their memorization to the teachers individually, then the students revised their memorization and learned the memorization of surah individually, and in final activity, the teachers gave motivation to the students to revise their memorization at home by showing motivation videos of children who love Quran. However, some students could not finish the tasks given by the teachers; (3) the evaluation was carried out by written exam and practice exam of reading and memorizing the Quran by assessing the quality of reciting, pronunciation, tajweed, and fluency, but some students could not perform their memorization fluently; (4) the obstacle faced by the teachers was the lack of motivation and interest of students to revise their memorization that made the learning quality was not improve

    Assessing the Readiness of Student Learning Activity and Learning Outcome

    The research is proposed by the underestimate of the studentactiveness and the student's achievement. The purposes of the research were to evaluate the influence of the studentreadiness to the studentactiveness, the influence of the studentreadiness to the studentachievement, and the influence of the studentactiveness to the studentachievement in the first class of Junior High School 2 Cibingbin, Kuningan, West Java. Its influence uses the correlation descriptive method. The population is 127 students of the first class of Junior High School 2 Cibingbin, Kuningan, West Java and the sample is 96 students. The results of the study showed that the description of the studentreadiness learning was at high category 69.35%. The description of the studentactiveness was also at high category 85.47%. In addition, the description of the studentachievement was categorized as high grade (84.35%). There was a positive influence of students readiness to the student's activeness and achievement, and there was the positive influence of the student's activeness to the student's achievement

    In recent years, the numbers of international students in universities have increased rapidly and have become an important industry and financial resource for the host countries. However, each host country has divergent policies and strategies regarding their international student i.e. tuition fees, scholarship scheme, visa regulation and alumni program. These differences can potentially determine financial benefit that they receive from the foreign students. For example, the tuition fees for international students in German Universities are relatively smaller compared to other countries in Europe. However, a study found that an aggregate value of economic impact of international students to German economic is relatively higher than in the Netherlands and other European countries. Moreover, the economic gains are not solely obtained from tuitions fees and other spending during the study period. Rather, the bigger financial impact can be obtained after the graduation of the international students. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the economic implication of international students for the host countries. More importantly, this study discusses strategies of host countries to optimize the economic impact from their international countries. To do so, three countries have been selected as the object of research, namely the USA, the UK, and Germany. Data is collected from secondary data i.e. academic articles, government reports, and non-governmental organizations reports. The results of this study found that the host countries have implemented different strategies in dealing with their international students that potentially create different scope of economic impact in their national economic.     KORELASI CLASS ATTENDANCE DENGAN NILAI PERKULIAHAN: SUATU STUDI DI UIN AR-RANIRY

    This study was motivated by the polemic on the importance of class attendance in a learning process in the institutions of higher education. This article aims to examine the influence of class attendance on students grades using quantitative approach. Primary data was collected from four classes of Department of Islamic Banking Diploma (D-III PS) and Department of Islamic Economics of State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh. Data was then analysed using several stastistical techniques from the SPSS. The result showed that statistically there was a significant positive correlation between class attendance and students grades. The findings clearly demonstrated the importance of class attendance in attaining the good grades among university students within the two departments. Nevertheless, analyzing the results more closely indicated that class attendance was not a direct factor in enhancing the students grades.     This is a preliminary study about the level of sexual harassment in Aceh, this study aims at describing the profile of victims of sexual abuse, sexual harassment diversity of forms of behavior that is natural, the environment in which the abuse and the causes that trigger sexual abuse so that they can be the basis of subsequent policy research in order to formulate various sexual harassment prevention strategies. A a survey is conducted by using quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches with sample selection refers to the consideration of the sampling area. Eight regencies/cities, namely Subulussalam/Singkil district and South Aceh's western coastal areas, Aceh Besar, Pidie, North Aceh and East Aceh's eastern coastal region and the Southeast Aceh Regency and Central Aceh for the central region. Data obtained through documentation and interviews were analyzed using the descriptive statistics (percentage tabulations, graphs and charts) as well as a comparative analysis of narrative logic. The results showed that, majority of sexual abuse victims are children and young women aged under 18 years old, still a student, the socioeconomic status of the family was in the middle to lower. While the perpetrators including men who come from different backgrounds in terms of ages, education, occupation, socioeconomic status, and place of residence. Forms of sexual abuse cases were rape and sexual abuse, in addition to the act of sodomy in a minority of cases. The cause of sexual harassment is a lack of parental supervision of children, the declining morality of the offender and economic factors. Psychological impact experienced by victims of sexual harassment is that they tend to be aloof, socially isolated people, expelled from school, self-blame, and prolonged trauma. The study recommends that forms of prevention and mitigation of sexual abuse should be implemented

    The utilisation of flash cards is one of the teaching methods in early literacy learning of the subject of Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language). These are simply cards that display the written words. Flash cards can be bright and colourful and make a real impact on visual learners. Among many methods, it was considered one of the best fits for children at reading age. This article aims to determine the extent to which the use of flash card as a medium of learning could improve the reading skills of students of class I at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri-MIN (National Islamic Elementary School) Rukoh, Banda Aceh for the academic year of 2012/2013. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is the research conducted in a classroom using the specific learning media, which in this regard is the flash cards. Data for this study was gathered through experiments, observation during the learning process, and interview with several selected teachers and students. Data were then analysed using the descriptive-comparative technique, in which each test results of the students reading abilities were compared to each other.     KODE ETIK PENDIDIK MENURUT IBNU JAMAAH

    This study - through content and descriptive analyses - seeks to explore Ibn Jama'ah thought about his ethical code educators in Tazkirah al-Sami'. To that end, the book Tazkirah al-Sami' will be discussed in depth. The study obtained that the code of ethics educators in Tazkirah al-Sami' generally consists of three categories, namely; The first, code of personal ethics educator, consists of 12 chapters sequentially explain the relationship between educator and God (verse 3); glorify science (3 verses); ascetic (4 verses); the use of science (paragraph 2); away from the action and place reprehensible (fourth paragraph); implement and support the symbols of religion (4th paragraph); maintaining practice sunnat (4 verses); norms of social interaction (paragraph 13); purify themselves of bad moral character and cultivate commendable (second paragraph); the deepening of knowledge (paragraph 6); learn from the juniors (second paragraph); and write (4 verses). Second, the code of ethics educators in teaching, which consists of twelve chapters sequentially explained about: preparation before teaching (3rd paragraph), praying and teaching behavior (paragraph 7), classroom management (paragraph 5), the initial act of teaching (4 verses ), hierarchy and transfer of knowledge (paragraph 6), voice teacher and an opportunity to ask (third paragraph), the function of discussion in Majlis (fourth paragraph), the role of educators in the discussion (paragraph 3); fair, intelligent and fair (paragraph 6), an appreciation of non-regular students (second paragraph), the cover learning (6 verses) and professional (third paragraph). Third, codes of conduct interaction with the student teachers, which consists of fourteen chapters, each associated with; the purpose of teaching (verse 9); directing learning objectives (3 verses); motivator (paragraph 6); treat students like their own children (4 verses); attention to student ability and openness delivery of science (4 verses); earnest and convincing (fourth paragraph); ability test (paragraph 5); reward, motivation and learning groups (paragraph 3); the intensity and scale of learning priorities (paragraph 3); learning resources (paragraph 4); to be fair and considerate (4 verses); monitoring and warning (paragraph 5); moral and material support (paragraph 6); humble and meek (fourth paragraph)
