    Reading habits of elementary school pupils, their needs and satisfaction with school library services in a rural area

    Tema ovog diplomskog rada je istraživanje čitateljskih navika osnovnoškolaca i uloga školskih knjižnica u njihovom razvoju, s posebnim naglaskom na školske knjižnice u ruralnim sredinama. Rad se temelji na teorijskim sadržajima o važnosti čitanja, motivaciji za čitanje i različitim vrstama čitanja, uključujući čitanje u slobodno vrijeme i školske lektire. Posebno je istaknuta uloga školske knjižnice kao ključnog elementa u promicanju čitalačke kulture i obrazovanja, te izazovi s kojima se susreću knjižnice u ruralnim područjima. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku osnovnoškolaca, a rezultati su pokazali da školske knjižnice, uz potrebne poticaje i odgovarajuće knjižnične fondove, mogu značajno utjecati na razvoj čitateljskih navika i motivaciju za čitanje. Istraživanje također ukazuje na nužnost daljnjih unaprjeđenja knjižničnih usluga, s ciljem stvaranja trajne čitateljske publike.The topic of this graduation thesis is the study of reading habits of primary school pupils and the role of the school library in their development, with a special emphasis on school libraries in rural areas. The work is based on theoretical content on the importance of reading, motivation for reading and different types of reading, including leisure reading and school reading. The role of the school library as a key element in promoting reading culture and education is particularly emphasized, as well as the challenges faced by libraries in rural areas. The research was conducted on a sample of primary school students, and the results showed that school library, with the necessary incentives and appropriate library funds, can influence the development of reading habits and motivation for reading. The research also indicates the necessity of further improvements in library services and resources, with the aim of creating a permanent reading audience

    Tema diplomskog rada je upravljanje operativnim rizicima u bankarskom sektoru kroz usporednu analizu financijskih institucija Deutsche Bank i JPMorgan Chase. Operativni rizici, nastali neuspjehom unutarnji procesa, ljudi ili eksternih događaja, postali su važniji u suvremenom financijskom svijetu. Diplomski rad pojašnjava kako su ove dvije institucije implementirale strategije upravljanja operativnim rizicima prema regulatornim zahtjevima i inovativnim tehnologijama. Razmatrani su regulatorni zahtjevi Basel III i Dodd – Frank Act, kao i tehnologije umjetne inteligencije, Big Data analitike i blockchain. Deutsche Bank i JPMorgan Chase uspješno primjenjuju regulatorne zahtjeve u svoje poslovanje za potrebe osiguranja transparentnosti i sigurnosti podataka. Deutsche Bank primjenjuje tehnologiju umjetne inteligencije kroz analizu ESG činitelja i transparentnost. S druge strane, JPMorgan Chase razvija vlastitu tehnološku platformu i strateški stvara partnerstva s velikim tehnološkim kompanijama. Obje financijske institucije upotrebljavaju inovativne modele kako bi osigurale smanjenje operativnih, regulatornih i informacijsko – sigurnosnih rizika. Studija pokazuje kako učinkovito upravljanje poslovnim rizicima podrazumijeva ravnotežu tehnologije, regulatornog sklada i ljudskog kapitala. Usporedna analiza dokazuje kako su Deutsche Bank i JPMorgan Chase pioniri proaktivnog i strateškog upravljanja rizicima. Na taj su način banke ostvarile dugoročnu otpornost i konkurentsku prednost u dinamičnom i kompleksnom bankarskom sektoru.The topic of this thesis is operational risk management in the banking sector through a comparative analysis of the financial institutions Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase. Operational risks, arising from the failure of internal processes, people, or external events, have become increasingly important in the modern financial world. The thesis explains how these two institutions have implemented operational risk management strategies in accordance with regulatory requirements and innovative technologies. The regulatory frameworks Basel III and the Dodd–Frank Act are considered, as well as technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and blockchain. Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase successfully integrate regulatory requirements into their operations to ensure transparency and data security. Deutsche Bank applies artificial intelligence technology through ESG factor analysis and transparency initiatives. On the other hand, JPMorgan Chase is developing its own technological platform and strategically forming partnerships with major technology companies. Both financial institutions use innovative models to mitigate operational, regulatory, and information security risks. The study shows that effective business risk management requires a balance of technology, regulatory compliance, and human capital. The comparative analysis demonstrates that Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase are pioneers in proactive and strategic risk management. In doing so, the banks have achieved long-term resilience and a competitive advantage in the dynamic and complex banking sector

    Analysis of usage of ICT in social media communication on the example of Hajduk Split football club

    Ovaj diplomski rad analizira ulogu informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologija (ICT) u komunikaciji na društvenim mrežama, s posebnim fokusom na nogometni klub Hajduk Split. S obzirom na značajan utjecaj društvenih mreža na promociju i održavanje veze s navijačima, cilj je razumjeti kako ICT doprinosi poboljšanju vizualnog identiteta i komunikacijske strategije kluba. U uvodnom dijelu definirani su predmet istraživanja, ciljevi te istraživačke hipoteze, koje uključuju ispitivanje utjecaja članstva i pretplate na odabir komunikacijskih kanala i zadovoljstvo kvalitetom sadržaja kluba na društvenim mrežama. U istraživanju su korištene metode analize sadržaja i anketnog upitnika, čime su prikupljeni podaci o navikama i razini zadovoljstva pratitelja kluba. Rad obuhvaća teorijski pregled komunikacije u sportu, digitalne komunikacije i uloge ICT-a, s naglaskom na doprinos tehnologija poput društvenih medija, video sadržaja i digitalnog marketinga. Posebna je pažnja posvećena vizualnoj i digitalnoj komunikaciji kluba HNK Hajduk Split, s fokusom na primjenu boja, tipografije, grafičkih elemenata i digitalnog marketinga. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na visok stupanj angažiranosti i zadovoljstva navijača, kao i na važnost dosljedne primjene vizualnog identiteta u svim komunikacijskim kanalima. Zaključno, rad potvrđuje da učinkovito korištenje ICT-a omogućava bržu o snažniju povezanost s navijačima, doprinosi očuvanju prepoznatljivosti kluba i njegovom pozicioniranju kao jedne od najistaknutijih sportskih organizacija u Hrvatskoj.This thesis analyzes the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in communication on social media, with a particular focus on the football club Hajduk Split. Considering the significant impact of social media on promotion and maintaining connections with fans, the aim is to understand how ICT contributes to enhancing the club’s visual identity and communication strategy. The introduction defines the research subject, objectives, and hypotheses, which include examining the influence of membership and season ticket subscription on the choice of communication channels and satisfaction with the quality of the club’s content on social media. The research methods used include content analysis and a survey questionnaire, through which data were collected on the habits and satisfaction levels of the club’s followers. The thesis covers a theoretical overview of communication in sports, digital communication, and the role of ICT, with an emphasis on the contribution of technologies such as social media, video content, and digital marketing. Special attention is given to the visual and digital communication of HNK Hajduk Split, focusing on the use of colors, typography, graphic elements, and digital marketing. The research results indicate a high level of fan engagement and satisfaction, as well as the importance of consistent application of the visual identity across all communication channels. In conclusion, the thesis confirms that the effective use of ICT enables faster and stronger connections with fans, contributes to maintaining the club’s recognizability, and positions it as one of the most prominent sports organizations in Croatia

    Students’ attitudes toward individuals with mental health difficulties, with an emphasis on addictio

    Stavovi prema osobama s teškoćama mentalnog zdravlja i dalje predstavljaju značajan društveni izazov, osobito među mladima i budućim stručnjacima. S obzirom na porast društvene svijesti o mentalnom zdravlju, u ovom istraživanju ispitao se odnos između stavova prema osobama s teškoćama mentalnog zdravlja, atribucija uzroka ovisnosti, emocionalne empatije, samoprocjene znanja i blizine kontakta s osobama s problemom ovisnosti. Poseban fokus bio je na razlikama između studenata pomagačkih i ostalih struka. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 443 studenata (67 muškaraca i 376 žena), u dobi od 18 do 28 godina (M = 21,54; SD = 2,39). Uzorak je bio prigodan i prikupljen metodom snježne grude putem online ankete. Korišteni su sljedeći instrumenti: Skala stavova zajednice prema osobama s teškoćama mentalnog zdravlja, Skala kauzalnih atribucija, Skala emocionalne empatije, skala samoprocjene znanja i mjera razine kontakta. Podaci su analizirani primjenom korelacijskih metoda i metoda razlika. Rezultati su pokazali da su među studentima stavovi prema mentalnom zdravlju uglavnom pozitivni, emocionalna empatija je visoka, znanje procjenjuju umjereno visokim te u većoj mjeri izvještavaju o iskustvu bliskog kontakta s osobama s problemom ovisnosti, ali uzroke ovisnosti atribuiraju više internalno. Studenti pomagačkih struka iskazuju značajno manje negativnih stavova prema osobama s teškoćama mentalnog zdravlja, dok nije bilo razlika u atribuciji ovisnosti, samoprocjeni znanja te kontaktu u odnosu na studente ostalih struka. Studentice su imale pozitivnije stavove i višu empatiju, dok u atribucijama i znanju nije bilo razlike u odnosu na studente. Nije utvrđena statistički značajna povezanost stavova s atribucijama, samoprocjenom znanja te kontaktom, no viša emocionalna empatija povezana je s manje negativnih stavova. S obzirom da studenti imaju razumijevanje za mentalno zdravlje, ali ipak ovisnike drže odgovornima za njihov problem, rezultati ukazuju na važnost uključivanja edukacije o mentalnom zdravlju s naglaskom na ovisnostima u kurikulum, uz poticanje empatije, stjecanja znanja i prilike za kontakte, kako bi se smanjila stigma i potaknula humanija i učinkovitija zdravstvena skrb. Također, rezultati upozoravaju na važnost oblikovanja stavova već tijekom studija, osobito kod studenata koji će profesionalno raditi s ovom populacijom.Attitudes toward individuals with mental health difficulties remain a significant societal challenge, particularly among young people and future professionals. In light of growing public awareness of mental health, this study examined the relationship between attitudes toward individuals with mental health difficulties, causal attributions of addiction, emotional empathy, self-assessed knowledge, and the closeness of contact with individuals experiencing addiction-related problems. Special attention was given to differences between students enrolled in helping professions and those in other fields of study. A total of 443 students participated in the study (67 men and 376 women), aged between 18 and 28 years (M = 21.54; SD = 2.39). The sample was purposive and collected through a snowball sampling method via an online survey. The instruments used included the Community Attitudes Toward the Mentally Ill Scale, the Causal Attribution Scale, the Emotional Empathy Scale, a selfassessment scale of knowledge about addiction, and a measure of contact closeness. Data were analyzed using correlational and comparative statistical methods. Results indicated that students generally held positive attitudes toward individuals with mental health difficulties, reported high levels of emotional empathy, perceived their knowledge as moderately high, and frequently reported having close contact with individuals experiencing addiction. However, the causes of addiction were predominantly attributed to internal factors. Students in helping professions expressed significantly less negative attitudes toward individuals with mental health difficulties. No significant differences were found in addiction attributions, selfassessed knowledge, or contact levels between the two student groups. Female students showed more positive attitudes and higher emotional empathy compared to male students, while no gender differences were observed in attributions or knowledge. No statistically significant correlations were found between attitudes and attributions, knowledge, or contact. However, higher emotional empathy was significantly associated with less negative attitudes.Although students generally demonstrated understanding toward mental health issues, their tendency to hold individuals with addiction problems personally responsible suggests a persistent attribution of blame. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating comprehensive mental health education—particularly regarding addiction—into university curricula. Emphasis should be placed on fostering empathy, increasing evidence- based knowledge, and encouraging meaningful contact experiences to reduce stigma and promote more humane and effective care. Additionally, the results underscore the need to shape professional attitudes early in training, especially among students who will eventually work directly with this population

    Some determinants of parental burnout and mental health of student parents

    Roditeljstvo je kompleksna uloga koja sa sobom nosi brojne emocionalne, društvene i fizičke izazove, a kada se uz to nadoda još jedna uloga - uloga studenta, svi izazovi postaju dodatno otežani. Skupina studenata roditelja odnosi se na specifičnu skupinu s dvostrukom ulogom, a čine je svi oni koji se istovremeno nalaze u sustavu visokog obrazovanja i imaju najmanje jedno dijete. Premda u Hrvatskoj čine svega 3% ukupne studentske populacije, njihova je svakodnevica obilježena brojnim preprekama poput financijskih poteškoća, nedostatka vremena, nerazumijevanja od strane akademske zajednice te ograničenih institucionalnih prilagodbi. Posebnu pažnju u ovom kontekstu zaslužuje mentalno zdravlje studenata s djecom, koje je nerijetko narušeno uslijed borbe s istovremenim izazovima studiranja i roditeljstva, ali i sindrom sagorijevanja u roditeljstvu, koji se odnosi na stanje emocionalne, fizičke i mentalne iscrpljenosti koje nastaje zbog dugotrajne izloženosti stresu povezanim s roditeljstvom. Zbog nedostatka istraživanja ove tematike na uzorku hrvatskih studenata s djecom, cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati razinu sagorijevanja u roditeljstvu i mentalnog zdravlja studenata roditelja s obzirom na glavne sociodemografske i druge čimbenike (poput dobi, trenutačnog studentskog i radnog statusa, samoprocijenjene financijske situacije, planiranosti trudnoće, kao i ovisno o tome kada su prvi put postali roditelji, jesu li samohrani roditelji, ali i ovisno o procijenjenoj podršci koju primaju od obitelji te zadovoljstvu svojom partnerskom vezom). Istraživanje je provedeno online metodom na prigodnom uzorku od 124 sudionika, od kojih je 96% njih bilo ženskog spola. U istraživanju su pored Upitnika općih podataka, korišteni Upitnik sagorijevanja u roditeljstvu, Subskala mentalnog zdravlja SF-36 upitnika te Skala procjene kvalitete veze. Rezultati su pokazali da uzorak studenata roditelja koji je sudjelovao u provedenom istraživanju u prosjeku ima niže razine sagorijevanja u roditeljstvu te nešto više razine mentalnog zdravlja od prosjeka hrvatske opće populacije (Jureša i sur., 2000; Macuka i sur., 2024), bez statistički značajnih razlika s obzirom na studentski i radni status, planiranost trudnoće te vrijeme kad su sudionici prvi put postali roditelji, kao i bez značajne povezanosti s dobi i financijskom situacijom sudionika. Utvrđeno je da su viša razina obiteljske podrške te viša razina kvalitete partnerske veze značajno povezani s nižim sagorijevanjem i boljim mentalnim zdravljem studenata roditelja, te da samohrani studenti roditelji u prosjeku imaju nižu razinu mentalnog zdravlja od studenta koji nisu samohrani roditelji.Parenthood is a complex role that carries numerous emotional, social and physical challenges, and when combined with the additional role of being a student, these challenges become even more demanding. The group of student parents refers to a specific population with dual responsibilities - those who are simultaneously enrolled in the higher education system and raising at least one child. Although they make up only 3% of the total student population in Croatia, their daily lives are marked by numerous obstacles such as financial difficulties, lack of time, lack of understanding from the academic community and limited institutional adjustments. In this context, particular attention should be given to the mental health of student parents, which is often impaired due to the simultaneous demands of studying and parenting, as well as to parental burnout, which refers to a state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion that occurs due to long-term exposure to stress associated with parenthood. Due to lack of research on this topic among Croatian student parents, the aim of this study was to examine the level of parental burnout and mental health in student parents in relation to key socioeconomic and other factors (such as age, current student and employment status, self-assessed financial situation, pregnancy planning, the period when they first became parents, whether they are single parents, as well as the level of perceived family support and satisfaction with their romantic relationship). The study was conducted using the online method on a convenient sample of 124 participants, 96% of whom were female. In addition to the General Data Questionnaire, the Parenting Burnout Questionnaire, the Mental Health Subscale of the SF-36 questionnaire, and the Relationship Quality Assessment Scale were used in the study. The results showed that the sample of student parents who participated in the study had, on average, lower levels of parenting burnout and slightly higher levels of mental health than the average of the Croatian general population (Jureša et al., 2000; Macuka et al., 2024), with no significant differences with regard to student and employment status, planned pregnancy, and the time when the participants first became parents, as well as no significant association with the age and financial situation of the participants. It was found that a higher level of family support and a higher level of partner relationship quality are significantly associated with lower burnout and better mental health of student parents, but that single student parents have, on average, lower levels of mental health than students who are not single parents

    Knin heritage in projects for kindergarten children

    Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje ulogu muzejskih, građevnih i interpretacijskih posjeta u razvoju likovnih vještina, emocionalnog izraza i očuvanja baštine kod predškolske djece, s posebnim fokusom na djecu iz Knina, odnosno P.O. “Sunce” iz Biskupije. Muzeji su često podcijenjeni kao resursi za obrazovanje najmlađih, ali ova studija istražuje kako stvarni posjeti muzejima mogu imati dubok i pozitivan utjecaj na razvoj dječje kreativnosti i senzibiliteta za umjetnost. Istraživanje se temelji na analizi crteža i radova djece prije i nakon njihovih posjeta muzeju, kninskoj tvrđavi i interpretacijskom centru. Rezultati pokazuju značajne promjene u dječjim likovnim izričajima nakon posjeta muzeju, sugerirajući da su muzeji, izlet na Kninsku tvrđavu i interpretacijski centar ključni za poticanje kreativnosti i umjetničkog razmišljanja kod predškolske djece. Osim toga, ovaj rad istražuje potrebu za suradnjom muzeja s roditeljima i obrazovnim ustanovama. Promoviranje svijesti roditelja o ulozi muzeja, u ovom slučaju i interpretacijskog centra, u obrazovanju njihove djece i poticanje obiteljskih posjeta muzejima ključno je za obogaćivanje dječjeg iskustva i razumijevanje umjetnosti. Uz stvarne posjete muzeju, kninskoj tvrđavi i interpretacijskom centru ovaj rad također istražuje važnost integracije digitalnih tehnologija u muzejsku pedagogiju. Digitalni prikazi umjetničkih djela mogu pružiti dodatne resurse za učenje i dopuniti stvarne posjete, potičući interaktivno učenje djece predškolske dobi. Nadalje, diplomski rad naglašava potrebu za daljnjim istraživanjima u ovom području. Postoji potencijal za dublje istraživanje učinka stvarnih posjeta muzeju, Kninskoj tvrđavi i interpretacijskom centru i digitalnih prikaza na razvoj likovnih sposobnosti i emocionalnog izraza djece predškolske dobi. Također bi se mogli analizirati utjecaji posjeta muzeju, kninskoj tvrđavi i interpretacijskom centru na djecu različitih dobnih skupina. Kroz ova istraživanja, može se razviti bolje razumijevanje kako muzeji, izleti, interpretacijski centri i obrazovne ustanove mogu oblikovati bolju budućnost za najmlađe ljubitelje umjetnosti. Implikacije ovog rada šire se na područje muzejske pedagogije i obrazovanja. Također se promiče raznolikost u umjetnosti i poticanje djece na različite oblike izražavanja. Konačno, ovaj rad podcrtava trajnu vrijednost umjetničkih iskustava u ranom djetinjstvu i poziva muzeje i gdje postoje interpretacijski centri da postanu partneri u razvoju budućih generacija umjetnika i ljubitelja umjetnosti.This thesis explores the role of museum, architectural, and interpretive visits in the development of artistic skills, emotional expression, and heritage preservation in preschool children, with special focus on children from Knin, specifically from the P.O. Sunce in Biskupija. Museums are often underestimated as resources for educating the youngest, but this study investigates how museum visits can have a deep and positive impact development of children`s creativity and sensitivity to art. The research is based on the analysis of children`s drawings and artworks before and after their visits to the museum, Knin Fortress, and interpretation center. The results show significant changes in children`s artistic expressions after visiting the museum, suggesting that museums, excursions to Knin Fortress, and the interpretation center are key to encouraging creativity and artistic thinking in preschool children. In addition, this work explores the need for cooperation between museums, parents, and educational institutions. Raising awareness among parents and educators about the value of museums, in the case interpretation centers, is important for enriching children`s experiences and fostering art appreciation. Digital representations of artworks and interpretive content can also play an important roll in art education. The use of digital technologies in museum pedagogy can provide additional resources for learning and complement real-life visits, encouraging interactive learning in preschool children. Furthermore, the thesis emphasizes the need for further research in this area. There is potential for deeper investigation into the effect of real visits to the museum, in Knin Fortress, and the interpretation center, as well digital representations, on the development of artistic abilities and emotional expression in preschool children. It would also be useful to analyze the effects of such visits on children of deeper and different age groups. Through this research, a better understanding of how museums, excursions, and interpretation centers, as educational institutions, can shape a better future for young art lovers can be developed. The broader implications of this work lie in the field of museum pedagogy and education. It also promotes diversity in art and encourages children to explore different forms of expression. Finally, this work affirms the lasting value of artistic experiences in early childhood and calls on museums and interpretation centers to become partners in developing future generations of artists and art lovers

    Lexical Stratification in the Novels of Mato Lovrak

    Ovaj diplomski rad donosi pregled teorijskih okvira leksičkog raslojavanja pojašnjavajući različite slojeve jezika, koji uključuju između ostalog arhaizme, regionalizme i kolokvijalne izraze, kao i njihov utjecaj na književno stvaralaštvo Mate Lovraka. U drugom se dijelu rada, kroz analizu konkretnih primjera iz odabranih romana Mate Lovraka, prikazuju načini na koje leksička slojevitost doprinosi stvaranju uvjerljivog književnog svijeta, te kako se zahvaljujući leksičkim slojevima prikazuju posebnosti jezika u vremenskom, područnom i funkcionalnom kontekstu. Posebna pažnja posvećuje se Lovrakovoj sposobnosti da jezik prilagodi dječjoj publici, istovremeno zadržavajući bogatstvo izraza i kulturnih specifičnosti. Analizom Lovrakovih djela Vlak u snijegu, Družba Pere Kvržice i Devetorica hrabrih, nastoji se istražiti na koji način autor spaja standardni jezik s dijalektalnim elementima i stiliziranim govorom. Istraživanjem i provedenom analizom se pokazalo da Lovrak u svojim djelima uspješno kombinira različite slojeve leksika – od arhaizama i regionalizama do standardnog jezika – čime stvara autentičan jezični izraz blizak djeci. Leksička raznolikost njegovih romana također odražava društveni, povijesni i prostorni kontekst vremena u kojem su nastajali.This master’s thesis provides an overview of the theoretical frameworks of lexical stratification, explaining the different layers of language, which include, among others, archaisms, regionalisms, and colloquial expressions, as well as their influence on the literary work of Mato Lovrak. The second part of the thesis, through the analysis of specific examples from selected novels by Mato Lovrak, illustrates how lexical layering contributes to the creation of a convincing literary world, and how lexical elements reflect linguistic characteristics within temporal, regional, and functional contexts. Special attention is given to Lovrak’s ability to adapt language to a young audience while preserving richness of expression and cultural specificity. Through the analysis of Lovrak’s works A Train in the Snow, Pero the Lump's Gang, and The Brave Nine, the thesis aims to explore how the author combines standard language with dialectal elements and stylized speech. The research and analysis show that Lovrak successfully combines different layers of lexis in his works—from archaisms and regionalisms to standard language—thereby creating an authentic linguistic expression that resonates with children. The lexical diversity of his novels also reflects the social, historical, and spatial context of the time in which they were written

    Intercultural competence in teaching German as a foreign language

    Die Welt, in der wir leben, ist durch eine zunehmende Zahl von Migrationen gekennzeichnet, die eine allgegenwärtige Interkulturalität zur Folge haben. Damit eine Person erfolgreich kommunizieren und in der heutigen Gesellschaft funktionieren kann, ist es notwendig, dass sie über eine gut entwickelte interkulturelle Kompetenz verfügt. Daher ist es ratsam, so früh wie möglich mit interkulturellem Lernen zu beginnen. Der Fremdsprachenunterricht ist ein ideales Umfeld zur Entwicklung genau dieser Kompetenz. Thema dieser Arbeit ist die interkulturelle Kompetenz im DaF Unterricht am Beispiel kroatischer Gymnasien. Der Inhalt in den Lehrbüchern für die deutsche Sprache basiert auf dem Curriculum mit klar definierten Ergebnissen, wonach die interkulturelle Kompetenz eine der drei Hauptkomponenten im Fremdsprachenunterricht darstellt, zusammen mit der kommunikativen Kompetenz und der Selbstständigkeit im Spracherwerb. Interkulturelle Inhalte in den Lehrbüchern sind explizit und implizit vertreten, und diese Arbeit analysiert und vergleicht die zwei Formen. Anhand von Beispielen aus den vom Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Bildung und Jugend genehmigten Lehrbüchern wird festgestellt, ob die Lehrbücher tatsächlich mit den curricularen Zielen übereinstimmen.Svijet u kojem živimo karakterizira sve veći broj migracija koje za rezultat imaju općeprisutni interkulturalizam. Kako bi pojedinac mogao uspješno komunicirati i funkcionirati u današnjem društvu, neophodno je da ima dobro razvijenu interkulturalnu kompetenciju, stoga je preporučljivo da se u što ranijoj dobi krene s interkulturalnim učenjem. Nastava stranog jezika idealno je okruženje za razvijanje upravo te kompetencije. Tema ovog rada je interkulturalna kompetencija u nastavi njemačkog kao stranog jezika na primjeru hrvatskih gimnazija. Sadržaj u udžbenicima za njemački jezik temelji se na kurikulumu s jasno definiranim ishodima, prema kojemu interkulturalna kompetencija čini jednu od tri glavne komponente u nastavi stranog jezika, zajedno s komunikativnom kompetencijom I samostalnošću u ovladavanju jezikom. Interkulturalni sadržaj u udžbenicima zastupljen je eksplicitno I implicitno, a ovaj rad analizira I uspoređuje ova dva oblika te na temelju primjera iz udžbenika koje je odobrilo Ministarstvo znanosti, obrazovanja I mladeži utvrđuje se jesu li udžbenici uistinu usklađeni s kurikularnim ciljevima.The world we live in is characterized by an increasing number of migrations, resulting in pervasive interculturalism. For an individual to successfully communicate and function in today’s society, it is essential to have well-developed intercultural competence; therefore, it is advisable to start intercultural learning at an early age. Foreign language teaching is an ideal environment for developing this very competence. The topic of this paper is intercultural competence in teaching German as a foreign language, using the example of Croatian high schools. The content in German language textbooks is based on a curriculum with clearly defined outcomes, according to which intercultural competence is one of the three main components in foreign language teaching, alongside communicative competence and autonomy in mastering the language. Intercultural content in textbooks is represented explicitly and implicitly, and this paper analyses and compares the two forms, determining based on examples from textbooks approved by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports whether the textbooks are indeed aligned with curricular objectives

    Ekoturizam je oblik održivog turizma koji se temelji na očuvanju prirodne baštine i dobrobiti lokalne zajednice, a ujedno predstavlja potencijalno rješenje za ekološke i socioekonomske izazove u slabije razvijenim područjima. Ličko-senjska županija, iako najbogatija zaštićenim prirodnim područjima u Hrvatskoj, suočava se s izraženom depopulacijom i neravnomjernim razvojem turizma između primorskog i kontinentalnog dijela. Uloga ekoturizma posebno je značajna u područjima bogatim prirodnim vrijednostima, kakva su česta u ruralnim i manje razvijenim regijama. Ličko-senjska županija s velikim brojem zaštićenih prirodnih lokaliteta uključujući tri nacionalna parka i park prirode te velik broj lokaliteta uključenih u mrežu Natura 2000., ističe se kao iznimno bogato područje s izraženim potencijalom za razvoj ekoturizma. Unatoč navedenom, razvoj ekoturizma u Županiji još uvijek je ograničen, osobito u kontinentalnom dijelu, gdje se prirodni potencijali ne iskorištavaju u dovoljnoj mjeri. Cilj rada je analizirati potencijale i ograničenja za razvoj ekoturizma u Ličko-senjskoj županiji te pružiti teorijsku osnovu za promišljanje smjernica budućeg razvoja turizma temeljenog na načelima održivosti i valorizacije zaštićenih područja. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na ulogu lokalne zajednice i institucija u planiranju i upravljanju ekoturističkim razvojem. U tu svrhu provedeno je kvalitativno istraživanje metodom polustrukturiranog intervjua s ključnim dionicima u turizmu i upravljanju zaštićenim područjima. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata predložene su smjernice za unapređenje ekoturističke ponude kroz suradnju javnih ustanova i lokalne zajednice te razvoj održivih turističkih proizvoda.Ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism based on the preservation of natural heritage and the well-being of local communities. It also represents a potential solution to environmental and socio-economic challenges in less developed areas. Although the Lika-Senj County is the richest in protected natural areas in Croatia, it faces pronounced depopulation and an uneven development of tourism between its coastal and inland parts. The role of ecotourism is particularly significant in areas rich in natural value, which are often found in rural and underdeveloped regions. With a large number of protected natural sites, including three national parks, one nature park, and numerous Natura 2000 sites, Lika-Senj County stands out as an exceptionally resource-rich area with strong potential for the development of ecotourism. Despite this, the development of ecotourism in the County remains limited, especially in the inland region, where natural potentials are not being sufficiently utilized. The aim of this paper is to analyse the potentials and limitations for the development of ecotourism in Lika-Senj County and to provide a theoretical basis for considering future tourism development strategies based on the principles of sustainability and the valorisation of protected areas. Special emphasis is placed on the role of local communities and institutions in planning and managing ecotourism development. For this purpose, a qualitative study was conducted using the semistructured interview method with key stakeholders in tourism and protected area management. Based on the findings, recommendations were proposed to improve ecotourism offerings through the cooperation of public institutions and local communities and the development of sustainable tourism products

    The role of psychosocial factors in life satisfaction and posttraumatic growth in individuals with spinal cord injury

    Stresni događaji koji prethode ozljedi kralješničke moždine i simptomi oštećenja dovode do prisilnog suočavanja s drastičnom promjenom načina života. Shodno tome, osobe s ozljedom kralješničke moždine postaju podložnije razvoju psihičkih teškoća što se može negativno odraziti na životno zadovoljstvo. Međutim, one mogu iskusiti i pozitivne promjene poput posttraumatskog rasta. Osnovni cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati prediktivnu ulogu nekih psihosocijalnih čimbenika u zadovoljstvu životom i posttraumatskom rastu kod osoba s ozljedama kralješničke moždine. U istraživanju su sudjelovala 142 sudionika s ozljedom kralješničke moždine. Upitnik kreiran u Google Formsu distribuiran je online putem, a sastojao se od upitnika opših podataka, Kratke skale otpornosti (Slišković i Burić, 2018), Upitnika emocionalne regulacije- ERQ (Gračanin i sur., 2020.), Skale smisla života (Vulić Prtorić i Bubalo, 2006), Upitnika religioznosti (Ljubotina, 2004), Skale opće samoefikasnosti (Ivanov, 2002), Skale socijalne podrške (Ivanov, 2010), Skale zadovoljstva životom (Penezić, 2002) i Upitnika posttraumatskog rasta (Macuka i Malada, 2020). Obradom podataka utvrđeno je kako je zadovoljstvo životom pozitivno povezano s doživljajem smisla života, otpornosti, posttraumatskim rastom, samoefikasnosti, socijalnom podrškom, ponovnom kognitivnom procjenom i religioznosti. Nadalje, posttraumatski rast je pozitivno povezan s doživljajem smisla života, otpornosti, zadovoljstvom životom, samoefikasnosti, socijalnom podrškom, ponovnom kognitivnom procjenom i religioznosti. Provedbom hijerarhijske regresijske analize utvrđeno je da su socijalna podrška, ponovna kognitivna procjena, otpornost i posttraumatski rast značajni pozitivni prediktori zadovoljstva života, pri čemu je najveći prediktivni doprinos otpornosti. Ovim skupom prediktora objašnjeno je 53.61% varijance zadovoljstva životom. Također, provedbom hijerarhijske regresijske analize utvrđeno je da su religioznost i zadovoljstvo životom značajni pozitivni prediktori posttraumatskog rasta, pri čemu veši prediktivni doprinos ima zadovoljstvo životom. Ovim skupom prediktora objašnjeno je 32.63% varijance posttraumatskog rasta. Provedbom t-testova utvrđeno je da postoji statistički značajna razlika u korištenju ponovne kognitivne procjene s obzirom na stupanj ovisnosti o pomoći drugih (prema Barthel indeksu) – pojedinci s višim stupnjem ovisnosti o pomoći drugih više koriste ponovnu kognitivnu procjenu u odnosu na one s nižim stupnjem ovisnosti o pomoći drugih. Rezultati ovog istraživanja ukazuju na važnost stavljanja naglaska na pozitivne aspekte prilagodbe na ozljedu. Za taj proces potrebno je uzeti u obzir psihološke, socijalne i biološke faktore i osmisliti intervencije koje će ga olakšati.The stressful events that precede the spinal cord injury and the symptoms of damage lead to a forced confrontation with a drastic change in lifestyle. Consequently, people with a spinal cord injury become more susceptible to developing mental problems, which can have a negative impact on life satisfaction. However, positive changes such as post-traumatic growth can also be experienced. The mail goal of this study was to examine the predictive contribution of some psychosocial factors in explaining variance of life satisfaction and posttraumatic growth in individuals with spinal cord injury. The study included 142 participants with spinal cord injury. The questionnaire created in Google Forms was distributed online and consisted of a questionnaire of general information, Short Resilience Scale (Slišković and Buriš, 2018), Emotional Regulation Questionnaire- ERQ (Gračanin et al, 2020), Meaning of Life Scale (Vulić-Prtorić and Bubalo, 2006), Religiosity Questionnaire (Ljubotina, 2004), General SelfEfficacy Scale (Ivanov, 2002), Social Support Scale (Ivanov, 2010), Life Satisfaction Scale (Peneziš, 2002), and Posttraumatic Growth Questionnaire (Macuka and Malada, 2020). Data analysis revealed that life satisfaction was positively related to experience of meaning in life, resilience, posttraumatic growth, self-efficacy, social support, cognitive reappraisal, and religiosity, and was not related to expressive suppression. Furthermore, posttraumatic growth is positively related to experience of meaning in life, resilience, life satisfaction, self-efficacy, social support, cognitive reappraisal and religiosity. Hierarchical regression analysis revealed that social support, cognitive reappraisal, resilience and posttraumatic growth are significant positive predictors of life satisfaction, with resilience having the largest predictive contribution. This set of predictors explained 53.61% of the variance of life satisfaction. Religiosity and life satisfaction were significant positive predictors of posttraumatic growth, with life satisfaction having the larger predictive contribution. This set of predictors explained 32.63% of the variance in posttraumatic growth. T-tests revealed that there is a statistically significant difference in the use of cognitive reappraisal with respect to the degree of dependence on the help of others (according to the Barthel index) – individuals with a higher degree of dependence on the help of others use cognitive reappraisal more than those with a lower degree of dependence on the help of others. The results of this study indicate the importance of emphasizing the positive aspects of adaptation to injury. This process requires taking into account psychological, social, and biological factors and designing interventions that will facilitate it
