    Analysis of innovations in pre-school education in the Czech Republic in the school year 2022-2023

    V příspěvku představujeme nové procesy, které inovovaly předškolní vzdělávání v České republice v letech 2022 až 2023. Konkrétně se jedná o inkluzivní vzdělávání v mateřských školách. Analyzovali jsme dostupnost vzdělávání v mateřských školách, rozmanitost vzdělávání podle národnosti, zajištění předškolního vzdělávání pro děti se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, jeho ukotvení v dokumentech a zajištění v personálních podmínkách. Studie je výstupem analýzy sledující vzdělávání z veřejně dostupné databáze českého statistického úřadu a dokumentů zveřejněných Ministerstvem školství mládeže a tělovýchovy za školní rok 2022/2023.In this paper, we present new processes that have innovated pre-school education in the Czech Republic between 2022 and 2023, namely inclusive education in kindergartens. We analyzed the accessibility of education in kindergartens, the diversity of education by nationality, the provision of preschool education for children with special educational needs, its anchoring in documents and provision in personnel conditions. The study is the output of an analysis tracking education from the publicly available database of the Czech Statistical Office and documents published by the Ministry of Education for the school year 2022/2023

    Příspěvek se zabývá využitím digitálních pomůcek a digitálních hraček v současném předškolním vzdělávání a nabídkou vzdělávacích kurzů či seminářů pořádaných pro učitelky mateřských škol, které jsou zaměřené na získávání digitálních kompetencí. Cílem výzkumného šetření je zjistit, jaké druhy digitálních pomůcek a digitálních hraček jsou využívány ve vzdělávání dětí předškolního věku v současných mateřských školách. Pozornost je věnována také názorům učitelek mateřských škol na výhody či nevýhody, které s sebou zařazování digitálních pomůcek a digitálních hraček do předškolního vzdělávání přináší. Výzkum má charakter kvantitativního šetření a výsledky obsahují nejen informace o využívání digitálních pomůcek v současném vzdělávání, ale také názory učitelek mateřských škol na aktuální situaci týkající se možností jejich dalšího vzdělávání v této oblasti.The paper deals with the use of digital tools and digital toys in contemporary preschool education and the offer of training courses or seminars organized for kindergarten teachers, which are focused on the acquisition of digital competences. The aim of the research investigation is to find out what kinds of digital aids and digital toys are used in the education of preschool children in current kindergartens. Attention is also paid to the views of kindergarten teachers on the benefits of or disadvantages of the inclusion of digital aids and digital toys in preschool education. The research is a quantitative investigation and the results include not only information on the use of digital aids in current education, but also the opinions of kindergarten teachers on the current situation regarding their further training opportunities in this area

    Individual Human Rights and National Interests - Finding the Balance: The Case of India and Russia

    This paper advances the individual human rights perspective to the understanding of national security by viewing it from a comparative lens concerning India and Russia. The question that is explored is how to safeguard individual human rights and human security at the larger level from the unwarranted restrictions imposed under the garb of national security. Although in countries like India, the judiciary is supposed to hold governments to the high constitutional principles that might be violated in the name of unwarranted security threats. On the other hand, in countries like Russia, a tyrannical leader, that keeps firm hands-on power for decades, can ignore the courts and other institutions, dismiss the check-and-balances, and produce massive human rights violations. In this light, this article attempts to provide solutions to these comparative situations by securing the right of defense, redefining extraordinary powers with the state, and restricting the power of law enforcement agencies

    The article examines the publication Divine Stories or Biblical Bizarro, focusing on a) its conceptualization as a textbook and also b) its method of interpreting literary (namely biblical) texts. Furthermore, this analysis serves as a basis for outlining a reflection on the benefits of this (primarily theological) publication for secondary school literature teaching and – more broadly – on the possibilities of enriching literary didactics through biblical didactics

    A survey conducted among Czech language teachers revealed their dissatisfaction with the presentation of dialectal issues in the available textbooks. This article offers several online resources that teachers can use to enhance and enrich their lessons. The resources are varied, including dialect maps and atlases, sound archives, dictionaries, and a corpus. Each resource is provided with a basic description and suggestions for possible classroom use

Attention is paid to Kožmín’s contribution to the didactics of literature and style, his in novative views on the place of artistic texts in teaching, and the possibilities of analysis and interpretation, especially of poetic texts. At the same time, the article describes how Professor Zdeněk Kožmín’s professional life was influenced by personal experiences (during World War II, during forced departure from the academic environment and teaching at the grammar school), and presents the professor as a bearer of professional and human qualities

After a brief introduction that brings the overview of the previous work of Kateřina Tučková, our article proceeds to its main focus – her latest novel. Besides the plot and forms of narration we analyse the structure of the novel and thorough studies of the subject matter within the preparation stage. In the closing part, the author of the article summarises the reception of the novel by literary critiques and brings his own assessment for further discussions
