No full textThe aim of this special issue of Journal of Writing Research, “Written performance operating units: Linguistic and behavioral markers”, is to help unravel the rules and layout regularities that structure language flow in a formally and semantically valid text, and the combinatorial strategies used by writers in various contexts and discourse genres. No full textNational audienceResearch on the energy transition raises a series of major challenges: it is a problem-oriented field of research (that of decarbonising the energy mix), which must be resolutely ethical and include principles of social and environmental justice from the very beginning... and this despite the problematic nature of the notion of transition which gives a misleading notion of the process that will lead to desired changes - if there are any. Taking this observation as its starting point, this paper sets out a number of avenues for research into key issues. It begins by examining the way in which the energy transition is transforming the interplay between actors in the energy sector and the scales at which decisions are taken and implemented. While inviting to take account of the wide variety of national contexts and levels of development, the article acknowledges the certainties and uncertainties surrounding the composition of the energy mix. It also stresses the importance of taking account of the externalities of technological choices, particularly in environmental terms. This enables us to draw up a research agenda focusing not only on the spatial aspects of transitions, but also on the ways in which economic models need to incorporate new parameters and new constraints. The article also invites to consider how the relationship between energy production and consumption is changing, and how consumption needs to be reduced. In so doing, the article defends the idea that research, which is necessarily interdisciplinary and reflexive, has a strong role to play in basing transition action on scientifically sound findings.La recherche sur la transition énergétique pose plusieurs défis de taille : c’est une recherche orientée problème (celui de la décarbonation du mix énergétique), qui doit être résolument éthique et intégrer dès sa formulation des principes de justice sociale et environnementale... et ce alors même que la notion de transition est problématique en ceci qu’elle donne une fausse idée du processus qui mènera aux changements attendus – si changements il y a. Partant de ce constat, ce Regard dresse des pistes de recherche sur des thématiques saillantes, notamment sur les acteurs et échelles des transitions, les techniques et leurs externalités, les modèles économiques et sociaux qui permettent de guider l’action, les modèles de consommation production et s’interroge sur les rapports entre consommation et production. Il défend in fine l’idée que la recherche, forcément interdisciplinaire et réflexive, a un rôle fort à jouer pour fonder l’action en matière de transition sur des constats scientifiquement fondés
Les apports des études carnavalesques aux études théâtrales : lire la farce renaissante à travers les rituels festifs pan-européens
No full textInternational audienceSi on a souvent attribué une origine « carnavalesque » aux thématiques de la farce du Moyen Âge et de la Renaissance, une approche comparée systématique entre les pratiques dramatiques des carnavals européens et les textes théâtraux anciens reste à faire. Notre article présente quelques bases méthodologiques pour cette recherche, en prenant pour point de départ les rites carnavalesques mettant en scène la geste du « personnage noir », fauteur de trouble mais régénérateur de la communauté. En ébauchant un parallèle entre les schémas dramaturgiques des fêtes européennes et leur réinterprétation dans les textes de farce française du XVIe siècle, nous nous proposons de montrer comment la confrontation de ces deux formes de représentation en éclaire mutuellement la signification, et suggérer tout le profit que peuvent apporter les Carnival Studies aux études théâtrales, historiques et littéraires

No full textInternational audienceVor etwas mehr als 30 Jahren, nämlich zwischen April und Juli 1994, wurden drei Viertel aller Tutsi Ruandas in einem Genozid ermordet, der sich mit ungeheurer Schnelligkeit über das gesamte Land ausbreitete. Der Mordapparat beging seine Verbrechen vor aller Augen, praktisch ohne Geheimhaltungsversuche. Wie kam es dazu, dass die Internationale Gemeinschaft dennoch nicht eingriff? Und warum sah sich auch Deutschland trotz der Shoah nicht in der Verantwortung? Warum funktionierte die Prävention und Intervention der Internationalen Gemeinschaft nicht? Die Antwort liegt auch in der kolonialen Vorgeschichte des Genozids

No full textInternational audienceAprès la parution en 2023 du Cours de poétique de Paul Valéry, jusque-là resté inédit, Valéry au Collège de France propose la première synthèse et réflexion historique, philosophique et critique sur l’enseignement donné par l’écrivain au Collège de France de 1937 à 1945. Pour la première fois, des spécialistes dressent le bilan de l’édition du Cours et donnent une lecture et interprétation de son enseignement durant les huit années de la chaire de Poétique. Pour la première fois également est proposée une étude d’ensemble de la réception de la pensée de Valéry par des professeurs du Collège de France aujourd’hui disparus et qui furent de grandes figures du XXe siècle – Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Roland Barthes, Yves Bonnefoy et Jacques Bouveresse –, réception qui se poursuit ici à travers les voix de Jean-Pierre Changeux, Antoine Compagnon, Carlo Ossola et Claudine Tiercelin. Cet ouvrage montre à quel point Valéry représente un moment important de l’histoire des idées au XXe siècle, mais aussi de l’histoire intellectuelle du Collège de France

No full textInternational audienceThe translation of Saussurean texts and terminology has become a science in its own right. The discovery of new documents during the 20th century provided material that not only advanced this field but also presented numerous challenges, compelling translators to rethink existing translations. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the features of the translation process into Russian of the manuscripts titled De la double essence du langage discovered in 1996. Going through the history of existing Russian translations of Saussure’s texts, the author takes into consideration terminological, philological and epistemological aspects of the translation of this text which remains largely unknown to Russian scholars, as well as suggesting strategies that can be applied to solve different issues caused by the particular form, content and context of these manuscripts
