Get PDFThe aim of this article is to establish the first findings, at Metropolitan Lima level, about the problem of stress and risky eating behaviors and personality in the non-obese university population. One of the most critical stages to reinforce these new habits is during childhood; however, due to the changes that are taking place at contextual and technological level, the university stage is also considered as a critical stage for the human being. Issues such as stress are somehow soothed by certain personality features and by habits acquired during childhood. However, it is important to be able to set up a study to identify more factors that intervene in this problem and, in turn, find prevention methods in order to foster healthy eating behaviors in the students.El presente artículo, tiene como objetivo establecer los primeros alcances, a nivel Lima Metropolitana, sobre la problemática del estrés y conductas alimentarias de riesgo y la personalidad en población universitaria no obesa. Una de las etapas más críticas para afianzar estos nuevos hábitos es en la infancia; sin embargo, por los cambios dados a nivel contextual y tecnológico, la etapa universitaria también se ha consolidado como una etapa crítica para el ser humano. Factores como el estrés que de alguna manera son aplacados por ciertos rasgos de personalidad y por los hábitos adquiridos en la infancia; sin embargo, es importante poder establecer un estudio donde se puedan identificar más factores que intervienen en esta problemática y a su vez, hallar métodos de prevención a fin de afianzar hábitos alimenticios saludables en los estudiantes
Modelación matemática para mitigar los efectos del COVID-19 en el sector turismo del Perú
Get PDFBased on the need to make accurate decisions in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in Peru, pandemic in Peru, specifically for the recovery of the tourism sector. For this purpose, a characterization of the behavior of the pandemic was carried out in the first three months of its development, based on the analysis of trends and the determination of the effective reproduction number (Rt) from statistical-mathematical methods. A variant of the SIR mathematical model was applied to forecast the possible evolution of the pandemic. This model was adjusted with the GlobalSearch optimization strategy of the MATLAB software. His solution used the MATLAB function ode23tb, which uses a combined Runge-Kutta algorithm with a trapezoidal rule algorithm. With the application of the Kaizen strategy as a means of continuous improvement, a set of actions were proposed that could be carried out today and that would allow the recovery of the tourism sector to be faced in a better situation. The behavior of the Rt and the simulation carried out showed that the mitigation measures established are insufficient to substantially reduce the impact of the pandemic, predicting that, by the end of 2020, the number of infected could reach the figure of 840 thousand and the deaths would exceed the 44 thousand.A partir de la necesidad de tomar decisiones certeras ante la pandemia de la COVID-19 en Perú, específicamente para la recuperación del sector turístico. Para este fin, se realizó una caracterización del comportamiento de la pandemia en los tres primeros meses de su desarrollo, basado en el análisis de tendencias y la determinación del número de reproducción efectivo (Rt) a partir de métodos estadístico-matemáticos. Se aplicó una variante el modelo matemático SIR para pronosticar la posible evolución de la pandemia. Este se ajustó con la estrategia de optimización GlobalSearch del software MATLAB. Su solución empleó la función ode23tb de MATLAB, que usa un algoritmo combinado de Runge-Kutta con otro de regla trapezoidal. Con la aplicación de la estrategia Kaizen como vía de mejora continua, se propusieron un conjunto de acciones que pudieran realizarse actualmente y que permitirían enfrentar en mejor situación la recuperación del sector turístico. El comportamiento del Rt y la simulación realizada demostraron que las medidas de mitigación establecidas son insuficientes para reducir sustancialmente el impacto de la pandemia, pronosticándose que, para finales del año 2020, el número de infectados pudiera alcanzar la cifra de 840 mil y los fallecidos superarían los 44 mil
El imaginario racial y la literatura estadounidense
Get PDFThe racial imaginary in the United States’ literary discourse is the object of study of this re- search, which is aiming at determining how the discourse of ilocutive agents, who are black female valuating subjects, reflects the racial imaginary of the author as a subject of the enun- ciation. Theory involving discourse, Critical Discourse Analysis, imaginaries and ideology was presented in the research. The methodology included a literary review, a literary analysis, a Critical Discourse Analysis, the historical-logical, the inductive-deductive and analytic-syn- thetic methods. Several US novels dealing with race and written by black and white authors were analyzed in order to understand the difficulties in writing about the “other” Finally, The Help was selected for the discourse analysis of black female valuating subjects due to the controversy this novel generated since its release. A dimensional analysis demonstrated that even though the racial imaginary has indeed an impact on the portrayal of the characters, this novel also has positive characteristics present in some African-American works.El objeto de estudio de este trabajo es el imaginario racial en el discurso literario estadounidense. El objetivo es determinar cómo el discurso de actantes ilocutivos y sujetos valorado- res femeninos negros refleja el imaginario racial del sujeto de la enunciación. Se desarrolla la base teórica de la investigación, que incluye el discurso, el Análisis Crítico del Discurso, los imaginarios y la ideología. Para ejecutar las tareas se utilizaron los métodos de revisión de la literatura especializada, el histórico-lógico, el inductivo-deductivo, análisis literario, Análisis Crítico del Discurso, y analítico-sintético. Se estudiaron varias obras de la literatura estadounidense con temática racial escritas por autores blancos y negros para entender sobre las dificultades para escribir sobre el “otro”. Finalmente, se escogió como muestra el discurso de sujetos val oradores femeninos negros de la novela The Help, que ha sido objeto de controversia desde su publicación. Se realizó un análisis dimensional que demostró que efectivamente el imaginario racial tiene un gran impacto en la descripción de los personajes, aunque la novela comparte elementos positivos con algunas obras de la literatura afroamericana

Influencia de los guías de turismo en la calidad del servicio en el Museo del Convento de San Francisco
Get PDFAny type of service without a dose of quality is difficult to meet or exceed the expectations of the customer or visitor, this kind of situation results in customers or visitors not returning or recommending the service, all this signifying economic deficiencies as a result of a bad service. The present research aims to “Identify what type of relationship and influence exists between tourist guidance and the quality of service in the San Francisco Convent museum”.The sample consisted of 384 visitors to the Museum, it was characterized by gender, age group, the instrument was focused on knowing the level of enthusiasm of the tour guide, the use of some technological equipment in the guide service, the level of attention to mu- seum visitors, ethics and morals of the tour guide to enforce relevant regulations during the on-site visit to safeguard the integrity of the collections.The results obtained determine that the processes that have been used during the development of the service must be impro- ved, two segments of visitors were identified, one of them is interested in knowing about the Museum only the basic and elementary aspects and the other segment is very interested in the technical-artistic aspects of the collections. In order to generate pleasant experien- ces in each of these segments, it is important to develop a manual of administrative proce- dures, as well as a manual for the Tourism Guide of the San Francisco Convent Museum.Cualquier tipo de servicio sin dosis de calidad es complicado que pueda cubrir o superar las expectativas del cliente o visitante, esta clase de situaciones traen como resultado que los clientes o visitantes no regresen ni recomienden el servicio, significando todo esto deficiencias económicas producto de un mal servicio.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo “Identificar qué tipo de relación e influencia existe entre el guiado turístico y la calidad del servicio en el museo del Convento San Francisco”. La muestra estuvo conformada por 384 visitantes del Museo, la misma fue caracterizada por género, grupo etario, el instrumento estuvo enfocado en conocer el nivel del entusiasmo del guía de turismo, el uso de algún equipamiento tecnológico en el servicio de guiado, el nivel de atención a los visitantes del museo, la ética y la moral del guía de turismo para hacer cumplir las normas pertinentes durante la visita in situ para salvaguardar la integridad de las colecciones. Los resultados obtenidos determinan que se debe mejorar los procesos que se vienen utilizando durante el desarrollo del servicio, se identificaron dos segmentos de visitantes, uno de ellos les interesa conocer del Museo solo los aspectos básicos y elementales y el otro segmento está muy interesados en los aspectos técnicos-artísticos de las colecciones. Para generar experiencias agradables en cada uno de estos segmentos es importante elaborar un manual de procedimientos administrativos, asimismo se debe elaborar un manual para el Guía de turismo del Museo del Convento de San Francisco
