Relevance of PAS 41 Provisions for Davao City Agricultural Entities in the Context of Post-Covid Accounting Challenges
This research investigates the awareness and compliance with the PAS 41 standard within the agricultural industries of Davao City, Philippines. The study reveals a pressing need for improvement in awareness and adherence to accounting standards attributable to the inherent complexities of agricultural operations and transactions. Using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses, Factors influencing compliance, including legal systems, providers of finance, taxation, national culture, and other influences, were identified and found to be perceived at a high level by agricultural entities. An analysis of the perceived relevance of PAS 41 provisions indicates that recognition and measurement provisions are highly relevant, while presentation and disclosure provisions are considered relevant. The research findings highlight a practical deviation from the theoretical framework, emphasizing the unique challenges agricultural entities face in adhering to generic accounting standards. This underscores the necessity for a balanced approach that respects standard uniformity while allowing for practical adaptability within industries with distinct operational characteristics
Impulse buying behavior and pricing preferences of shoppers in Davao City
Impulse buying plays a critical role in boosting sales across various sectors and fulfills consumer desires. Pricing preference significantly influences impulse buying behavior. While the topic of impulse buying is well-discussed, there is a need for more research within the Philippine context. This study explores the correlation between impulse buying intentions and the pricing preferences of consumers in Davao City. It involved 100 randomly selected shoppers and utilized a modified, adapted questionnaire. A purposive sampling technique was employed to select participants, and the study was conducted using a descriptive-correlational method for data collection and analysis. The data were analyzed using mean and Spearman\u27s rank order correlation coefficients. The results indicate a significant relationship between impulse buying behavior and the pricing preferences of shoppers. This insight can aid retailers in optimizing their pricing strategies to boost impulse purchases and add value for customers. However, it is important to note that other factors should also be considered by business owners when developing their marketing strategies
Initiatives to COVID-19 Cases: A Trend Analysis
Utilizing the five-tier model of the Theory of Needs by Abraham Maslow, safety from disease outbreaks is a fundamental human need (Mcleod, 2020). As such, this study aims to evaluate the national-level initiatives implemented by the Philippine government through a trend analysis of the number of cases and recoveries from February 27, 2020, until April 26, 2023. Moving averages, trend analysis, content analysis, and systems synthesis were used to develop concrete conclusions. Findings show a direct relationship between the number of COVID-19 cases and recoveries, with a two-week interval between their uptrends. Surges in cases also occur around the holiday season. The most prominent initiatives the government introduced during uptrends in COVID-19 cases are community quarantine protocols, border control measures, and vaccination efforts. Other inventions include: engineering and administrative control, economic and financial assistance, open information system, case definitions of COVID-19, management of non-COVID-19 patients, research centers and testing laboratories, remains of COVID-19 cases and PUIs, and strategic planning. These interventions led to an uptrend in COVID-19 recoveries after two weeks. These strategies could be implemented in health emergencies to mitigate its effects and curb further transmission
Service Quality On Food Delivery In Davao City
The study aimed to investigate the level of service quality of food delivery services of 500 customers in Davao City. The level of service quality of food delivery services was measured based on its dimensions: availability, perceived risk, easy to use, computability of mobile services and entertainment services. The study used a descriptive research design utilizing a questionnaire which was distributed via google form. The statistical instrument used were mean, Pearson r, T-test and ANOVA. The overall very high level of service quality of food delivery services in Davao City is a result of quality excellent delivery of the services, which simply means that the level of service quality may be a measurement as to what food delivery services can improve their services. Service quality levels were different among different age and civil status group, this study confirms that men and women differ when it comes to one’s purchase viewpoint of food delivery services. The results of the study imply that the food delivery services should realize the critical role of service quality in terms of availability, perceived risk, easy to use, compatibility of mobile services and entertainment services. 
‘P**** I**’: A Pragmatic Analysis On President Rodrigo Duterte’s First and Last State of the Nation Addresses (SONAS 2016 - 2021)
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is infamous for his speech. He is known internationally to use derogatory terms against everyone: his critics, activists, human rights rapporteurs, United Nations delegates, a United States president, even the Pope, and especially the media. This research utilized a qualitative method. This paper’s goal was not to justify nor to rebut his statements, but to scrutinize them based in the lens of the Speech Act Theory. The study utilized President Duterte’s first and last State of the Nation Addresses, presented to the Congress of the Philippines Session Hall of the House of Representatives at the Bátasang Pambansà Complex, Quezon City on, July 25, 2016, and July 26, 2021. This research would want to try to find answers on the questions: what are the most common illocutionary forces found on Duterte’s speech and what do they connote? The overall results found that majority of Duterte’s speeches are representative (61.95%), while the Declaratives are the least, which only account for 0.21% of all utterances
Financial Wellbeing Among Borrowers of Microfinance Institutions in Digos City
Providing financial services to low-income individuals and small businesses in developing countries, microfinance institutions have a beneficial impact. However, borrowers might confront financial difficulties such as excessive interest rates and fees that may result in over-indebtedness and financial distress. The present study sought to investigate the impact of MFIs on the financial wellbeing of borrowers, surveying 300 randomly selected borrowers in microfinance institutions in Digos City, Philippines. Analysis used mean, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t-test for independent samples. Results revealed that financial wellbeing analysis showed high freedom from debt, moderate investment and financial discipline, and moderate financial resilience. Overall, financial wellbeing was moderate. Gender and employment status had significant differences, with males and the employed reporting higher levels of financial wellbeing. Building a strong financial foundation through automated savings and investment plans, and empowering borrowers with financial knowledge and creditworthiness is recommended. Future research should include longitudinal studies, explore the impact of financial education, and investigate technology-based solutions for financial access

When our children or neighbor are going to a trip or travel, they must use this application to avoid harm or any danger that possible happen anytime. This project aims to develop unifiedassist: this research is a mobile application with a visually impaired feature that can be used by users with astigmatism and presbyopia because if there’s something block your way, the application sends notifications and vibrate to warn the user. Also, there is a security feature that can be used to avoid the harm that can happen anytime. And has a real time location tracker to track senior anytime. This application has everyday assistance that you can set up for daily needs. It also has a first aid feature that will suggest that what you need to do in an emergency. And there are other features that we can use for our safety. The main goal of this research is to help all users to avoid dangers and to protect all peoples from any kind of tragic even from malicious people
The Impact of Oplan Tokhang to the Surrenderees: Basis For Enhancement Program
This study aimed to determine the impact of oplan tokhang program to the Surrenderees in Nabunturan. Likewise, the study underscored the effectiveness of the said program in order to develop an enhancement scheme. A researcher- made questionnaire was administered to the identified Surrenderees who were selected through random sample technique. The 254 both the PNP and community residents consider its effectiveness as very effective in encouraging drug users to voluntarily surrender, makes the drug users feel safe, a measure for self-rehabilitation, gathered data revealed that reduces the number of drugs
South Korean Tourists’ Satisfaction in Davao City
This study aimed to evaluate the satisfaction of South Korean tourists with the transportation, accommodation, and safety standards in Davao City, utilizing a quantitative descriptive method to assess tourists’ perceptions. The findings revealed moderate satisfaction with transportation, highlighted by the tourists\u27 approval of fare prices but concerns regarding vehicle cleanliness, space, and seat availability. Accommodation received higher ratings, particularly in staff responsiveness and operational hours, yet inconsistencies in service and communication were noted. Safety measures were seen as adequate, though improvements in public facility maintenance and visibility of safety information were deemed necessary. To enhance the tourist experience in Davao City, it is recommended that the Davao City Tourism Council implement real-time tracking for public transportation and enforce rigorous maintenance schedules for cleanliness. Establishments should standardize service training to ensure consistent and high-quality guest experiences. For future research, scholars should explore longitudinal studies to assess the impact of these improvements on tourist satisfaction, thereby aiding the city\u27s efforts to refine its offerings and better cater to international visitors, particularly from South Korea
The Influence of Job Characteristics on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction of Food Service Employees in Davao City
This study aimed to examine the influence of job characteristics on organizational commitment and job satisfaction of food service employees in Davao City, Philippines. Also, we randomly surveyed 500 respondents who were currently and previously working in different food service establishments. This study utilizes a quantitative research design to easily analyze the findings\u27 numerical data from the study\u27s target respondents. The statistical tool used in the study were Mean Percentage, Pearson r, Regression Analysis, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and Frequency count. Furthermore, the research instruments on job characteristics, customer satisfaction, and loyalty were pilot tested, and the information authenticated was used as a data source. Additionally, utilizing the Pearson r in this study, the results displayed a significant relationship between job characteristics, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction among the food service employees in Davao City. Using the Sobel test, the study results revealed a partial mediating effect of the job characteristics on the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction among foodservice employees. Moreover, the result also showed a significant relationship between job characteristics, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. This implies that the mediating variables\u27 job characteristics explain the reliable procedure for the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction in food service employees, specifically in the different food sectors in Davao City that help continue their management to become productive and well-structured management
