Increased Motivation and Ability Student Numeracy Through the Application of a Contextual Approach to Mathematics Learning
This research aims to describe and analyze: 1) the implementation of a contextual approach to mathematics learning in perimeter of plane figures material to increase the motivation and numeracy skills of third-grade students at Cawan Jatinom Klaten Elementary School, 2) the increase in students' learning motivation after implementing the contextual approach, and 3) the improvement in students' numeracy skills following its application. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects consisted of 12 third-grade students, and data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the contextual learning approach, implemented through the use of measuring tapes and real objects inside and outside the classroom, successfully increased students' engagement and understanding of perimeter concepts. Students became more active and motivated; the classroom atmosphere became more conducive to learning, and instruction shifted from a teacher-centred to a student-centred approach. After two cycles of intervention, students' numeracy skills improved, as the hands-on use of real objects helped them grasp concepts such as length, width, and circumference more easily. It is recommended that the contextual learning approach be applied in other classes or explored further to enhance mathematics teaching methods in general

Designing performance measurement for special job markets in vocational high schools through the balanced scorecard approach
Vocational High School Special Job Markets (Bursa Kerja Khusus/ BKK SMK) play a strategic role in enhancing graduates’ competitiveness by linking them with employment opportunities. However, systematic approaches to performance measurement in BKK remain limited, leading to inefficiencies in service delivery and accountability. This study aims to design a comprehensive performance measurement framework for BKK using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach. A qualitative literature review method was employed by examining scholarly articles, official reports, and institutional documents relevant to BKK operations. The analysis highlights that BKK management generally follows four managerial stages: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Through the BSC framework, four performance perspectives were identified—financial, customer (students and industry partners), internal processes, and learning and growth. The results suggest that the implementation of BSC provides BKK with a structured tool to assess program effectiveness, monitor performance indicators, and develop targeted strategies for service improvement. Moreover, the study emphasizes the potential of digitalization to strengthen BKK transparency, accountability, and efficiency in job placement services. The original contribution of this research lies in proposing a BSC-based evaluation model that serves as a practical guideline for policymakers, school managers, and industry partners in aligning vocational education outcomes with labor market needs. In doing so, the study advances both theoretical insights into performance measurement systems and practical implications for improving the employability of vocational graduates

Entrepreneurship education programmes have been expanded globally across multiple levels of education to foster entrepreneurial competencies, including among student teachers at the Technical Education Campus, Teacher Education Institute (IPGKPT). Despite this development, limited studies have examined the entrepreneurial mindset of future teachers, who play a crucial role in shaping the next generation. This study aims to identify the entrepreneurial characteristics and the level of entrepreneurial aspirations among IPGKPT student teachers. A descriptive quantitative survey design was employed, involving 498 student teachers who responded to a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The results indicated that entrepreneurial characteristics (M = 3.78, SD = 0.85) and entrepreneurial aspirations (M = 3.76, SD = 0.85) were both at a high level. The findings further showed that student teachers demonstrated strong traits in risk-taking, innovativeness, and locus of control, as well as high levels of achievement motivation and self-efficacy. These results suggest that student teachers at IPGKPT are well-prepared to embrace entrepreneurship education and may potentially become role models in fostering entrepreneurial culture in schools. The study highlights the importance of sustaining and strengthening entrepreneurship education programmes in higher education institutions, particularly in teacher training colleges, to equip future educators with entrepreneurial mindsets and competencies. Such initiatives are expected to enhance graduate employability, encourage innovation in teaching, and contribute to broader national efforts toward economic growth and sustainability
Teachers in the perspective of idealistic philosophy: A systematic literature review
Idealistic philosophy positions reason, morality, and the human mind as the highest forms of reality. Within this philosophical framework, teachers hold a central role as ethical exemplars and intellectual guides who shape students’ character and behavior. This systematic literature review aims to synthesize scholarly perspectives on the roles, responsibilities, and expected characteristics of teachers according to idealistic philosophy. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study examined 16 relevant national and international articles published within the last decade. The analysis followed qualitative procedures involving data reduction, organization, and thematic interpretation. The findings reveal that teachers, from the viewpoint of idealistic philosophy, embody three essential dimensions: (1) Teacher obligations, which include moral superiority, mastery of knowledge, and the ability to foster active and meaningful learning; (2) Teacher responsibilities, involving guiding students’ intellectual growth, instilling ethical values, and ensuring that knowledge is translated into action; and (3) Teacher personality, encompassing integrity, intellectual excellence, communicative competence, and continuous self-development. Overall, this review highlights that idealistic philosophy emphasizes teachers as role models whose moral and intellectual authority significantly influences educational practice and student development

The Effect of Discovery Learning Model Based on Augmented Reality Media on Students' Critical Thinking Skills
This study aims to examine the effect of the DINAR (Discovery Learning based on Augmented Reality) model on the critical thinking skills of grade V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students on the material of human respiratory organs. The method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design, involving 48 students divided into experimental (DINAR learning) and control (conventional method) groups. This research was conducted at MIS Raudlatul Mutaallimin, Pakis, Bringin District, Semarang Regency. Data were collected through critical thinking tests based on analysis, evaluation, and inference indicators, and analyzed using parametric statistical tests (Independent Sample T-Test) and N-Gain. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group with an average posttest of 156.8 (versus 133.2 in the control). The T-Test produced a value of t(46) = -5.836 (p = 0.000), indicating a highly significant difference. N-Gain analysis reinforced these findings with an effectiveness score of 57.49% (moderately effective) in the experiment, while the control only reached 38.52% (less effective). The integration of Augmented Reality in Discovery Learning facilitates 3D visualization of respiratory organs, allowing students to explore concepts interactively and build independent understanding. This finding is in line with Bruner's theory of constructivism, asserting that a combination of immersive technology and explorative approaches effectively improves critical thinking skills. This study recommends the adoption of the DINAR model in science learning, particularly for abstract materials, as well as teacher training in AR-based media development
