How Spiritualization of Maritime Science Learning in Vocational Higher Education is Carried Out?
The revitalization of vocational education is suspected of only highlighting the cognitive and psychomotor aspects in preparing human resources in the world of work. In fact, the affective aspect is a crucial aspect in the goals of national education that needs attention. This study aims to examine the implementation of vocational learning within the framework of revitalizing vocational education with a spiritualization perspective. This study describes the process of learning maritime science in Vocational Higher Education (PTV) and analyzes the spiritualization process in it as a reference for a spiritual-based vocational learning revitalization model. As a field research, a qualitative approach and spiritualization of vocational science were used in this study. The data collection techniques used participant observation, interviews, and documentation, while the analysis technique used qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicate that the ship maneuvering and control course at Polimarin has undergone a spiritualization process at the planning, implementation, and evaluation levels of learning. Spiritual aspects, especially the values of monotheism and welfare, are integrated in depth so that students understand spiritual responsibility in making professional decisions, as well as the importance of maintaining safety and the environment. The implementation of vocational learning at Polimarin can be used as an initial reference for the spiritualization model of vocational learning

Improving Teachers' Numeracy Skills at Cisarua State Elementary School, West Java, Indonesia
Teachers occupy a pivotal role in the education system, including the imperative of attaining numeracy competence, a benchmark defined by governmental standards. The objective of this study is twofold: firstly, to assess the current state of numeracy competence among teachers at Cisarua State Elementary School, and secondly, to formulate a model to enhance their competencies in this domain. The research methodology is quantitative, incorporating a case study design that amalgamates descriptive and exploratory research methodologies. The study's participants comprised 15 teachers evaluated through a questionnaire-based training needs survey. Data was collected through a survey technique, with a questionnaire as the primary instrument. The collected data underwent quantitative analysis using descriptive analysis techniques. The results indicated that teachers' numeracy competence falls below the ideal standard set by government policy, with an average score of 40.6 out of a possible 42. This discrepancy underscores the necessity for human resource development in numeracy competence. In light of these findings, this study proposes a training model based on the ICARE approach (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, Extension) to enhance teacher numeracy competence. The implications of this study underscore the necessity of systematic and sustainable training interventions to enhance teachers' numeracy skills, which will contribute to enhancing the quality of numeracy learning for students at the primary school level
Stingles Bee Propolis Extract as An Active Ingredient in Antibacterial Ointment Formula
Stingless bees, also known as kelulut or klanceng (in local languages), are now widely cultivated in Indonesia. Stingless bees produce honey and propolis, which is the residue from honey extraction and is more abundant than honey itself. In this study, the processing of honey sacs or propolis into active ingredients for antibacterial ointments was optimized, specifically to address skin diseases caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus mutans. Propolis was extracted using aqua dest and 96% ethanol and optimized using three methods, namely sonication, maceration, and decoction, and antibacterial testing was carried out on S. aureus and S. mutans test bacteria. Antibacterial testing was carried out on the extracts using the diffusion method and the microdilution method. The results of the testing showed that propolis extract was most effectively extracted with water solvent, which had a bacterial inhibition concentration of 1,000–8,000 μg/mL. Water-based propolis extract can be used as a raw material for antibacterial ointments with a usage concentration of 5–15% and has been proven effective in inhibiting bacterial growth as observed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
REFRAMING COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT: A CRITICAL READING OF PLACE-BASED APPROACH TO PRODAMAS IN KEDIRI, INDONESIA
This study aims to critique the community empowerment program (Prodamas) in Kediri City, Indonesia. Using Carol Bacchi’s What’s the Problem Represented to Be? (WPR) analytical framework, this study explores how the problem of community empowerment is represented in policy documents, as well as how these representations are produced, disseminated, and maintained. This study employs an interpretive qualitative method, utilizing data sources that include local government regulations, case study reports, and the results of semi-structured interviews with residents. The results shows that Prodamas portrays the community as a passive entity that requires motivation to participate, while structural dimensions such as social inequality, local power relations, and limited citizen capacity are not addressed in the policy. This representation produces discursive and institutional effects that strengthen bureaucratic dominance, reduce the meaning of empowerment to procedural activities, and limit citizen agency. This article makes a theoretical contribution by offering a critical analysis of community empowerment programs in the context of developing countries. This article also encourages a shift in the empowerment approach from mere administrative participation to the formation of a more equitable and reflective political space for citizens at the local level
FINANCIAL LITERACY AND THE SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD FRAMEWORK: ADVANCING ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE AND FOOD SECURITY
The Family Hope Program (PKH) is an instrument for poverty alleviation in North Aceh Regency, which is the largest beneficiary of PKH in Aceh, but dependence and low financial literacy have lead to weak economic independence and food security among low-income families. This has become an urgent research topic regarding the importance of strengthening the capacity of beneficiaries using a financial literacy approach based on the Social Learning Framework (SLF). This study aims to develop an SLF-based financial literacy model to improve household financial management, encourage productive behavior, and enhance sustainable household food security. The research method used qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, which were then analyzed through thematic coding with the help of NVivo. The results showed that PKH beneficiaries faced challenges in the form of inflation, low financial literacy, weak social capital, and limited institutional coordination. Financial capital is still narrowly perceived as “children's school fees,” while access to credit and asset accumulation tend to be avoided. Human capital is improved through financial literacy and skills training, although not evenly, while natural capital is limited to families who own land. The livelihood strategies of beneficiaries are divided between passive consumption patterns and active diversification through small businesses or agriculture. The research results show a duality: some families have succeeded in escaping poverty, while others remain dependent on the cash transfer program. This study confirms that the sustainability of PKH outcomes can only be achieved through the integration of financial literacy, consistent institutional support, and multi-sector collaboration
Enhancing Third Graders' Understanding of the Water Cycle through Problem-Based Learning and Wordwall Integration
Third-grade students often face difficulties in understanding the abstract and cyclical nature of the water cycle, leading to misconceptions and fragmented knowledge. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of integrating Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Wordwall (WW) in improving students’ conceptual understanding of the water cycle. A quasi-experiment employed in this study. The participants involved 105 third-grade students from one elementary school, divided into three groups: PBL+Wordwall, PBL-only, and a conventional instruction group. Over six sessions, students received instruction aligned with their group’s assigned strategy. The results, based on pretest and posttest comparisons analysed through t-tests and MANCOVA, show that both PBL and PBL+Wordwall outperform conventional teaching; however, PBL+Wordwall did not significantly surpass PBL alone. These findings suggest that PBL is a powerful strategy for teaching scientific concepts and that visual tools like Wordwall may offer added benefits in vocabulary reinforcement and engagement. This research supports the adoption of active learning and digital aids to enhance science instruction in elementary education

Effectiveness of Discovery Learning Assisted by Chemical Monopoly on Critical Thinking and Learning Outcomes
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the discovery learning model using chemistry monopoly media on the critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of 11th-grade students. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design, utilizing instruments in the form of tests and an observation guide. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Both the experimental class and the control class have 35 students. This study collected data through tests (pretest and posttest). Data analysis was conducted using normality and homogeneity tests, followed by the Mann-Whitney U test (since the data are not normally distributed), and the N-Gain test for assessing learning effectiveness. The research results indicate that the experimental class achieved a 58.79% increase in learning outcomes, whereas the control class experienced a 36.51% increase. In terms of critical thinking ability, the experimental class showed an improvement of 56.00%, while the control class improved by 37.18%. The Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test revealed the significance of cognitive learning outcomes to be 0.041 and the significance of critical thinking ability to be 0.019. Thus, the implementation of discovery learning affects students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in the context of acid-base chemistr
A Conceptual Ontology Framework for Culturally-Adaptive Mobile Learning Interfaces: Integrating the Indonesian Wellbeing Scale
This research addresses the lack of cultural sensitivity in existing Adaptive User Interface (AUI) frameworks, which predominantly rely on Western-centric paradigms and often overlook the collective and spiritual dimensions of student well-being. To bridge this gap, this study proposes a conceptual ontology framework that operationalizes the Indonesian Wellbeing Scale (IWS) into computational adaptation logic for mobile learning applications. Adopting a Design Science Research approach utilizing the NeOn methodology, we formally modeled multidimensional context factors—specifically spiritual observances, social relations, and self-acceptance—into a machine-readable semantic taxonomy. The proposed ontology was rigorously validated using a two-tiered verification strategy: logical consistency checking via the HermiT reasoner and functional validation through Competency Questions (CQs) mapped to SPARQL queries. The results demonstrate that the framework successfully infers complex user needs and triggers appropriate interface adaptations, such as prioritizing community interactions during social isolation or scheduling spiritual alerts, without logical conflicts. This study contributes a validated computational model for Culturally-Adaptive User Interfaces, providing a robust semantic foundation for future physical implementation and empirical user evaluation
