Problem-Project based Learning Model for Improving Entrepreneurship Character and Reasoning Ability of Mathematics Education Students
Mathematics learning has not yet integrated students’ entrepreneurial character and reasoning abilities. In response, this study aimed to develop a Problem–Project Based Learning (PPjBL) model to strengthen both aspects within the Linear Programming course. The PPjBL model was developed using the Borg & Gall research and development framework through stages of design, validation, and classroom trials. The final PPjBL syntax consists of six stages: problem orientation, organizing students for learning, guiding investigation, designing the project, implementing the project, and documenting project reports. Results from expert validation and two implementation trials showed that the model is practical and effective. The entrepreneurial character of students improved from the “start to grow” to the “being habit”. Meanwhile, mathematical reasoning ability increased in the high category, indicating progress in problem formulation, logical construction, deduction, interpretation, and generalization. These findings affirm that PPjBL serves as a transformative pedagogical framework capable of integrating cognitive reasoning and affective character development through authentic learning experiences. The model positions students as active problem solvers through engagement with real-world entrepreneurial problems. Future research may extend the application of PPjBL to other mathematical domains, emphasizing the cultivation of critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration as integrated outcomes of holistic mathematical education
Developing a Bogamon-Talk (board game of monopoly talking) to improve students' English speaking skills
The rapid development of technology emphasizes the importance of effective learning media. Students often struggle with English speaking due to limited practice and monotonous learning methods. This study aims to develop BOGAMON-TALK (Board Game of Monopoly Talking) to enhance student motivation and speaking skills. Using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), this Research and Development (R&D) study involved 33 eighth-grade students from Darul Ulum Purwogondo Junior High School. Data collection used interviews and tests, and was analyzed quantitatively. Validation by material experts yielded a score of 4.6 (very feasible), while media experts rated it 4.0 (feasible). The product's effectiveness was shown by a significant increase in student performance: pretest (52.03) and posttest (88.03). These results suggest BOGAMON-TALK is both valid and effective in improving students’ English speaking skills. It is recommended that subsequent researchers consider the adaptation of this board-based educational game into non-print or electronic media to enhance its accessibility and facilitate the enhancement of English speaking skills

Rasch model analysis of essay questions to measure literacy and numeracy skills in plant and animal bioprocess topics based on AKM
Literacy skills in reading and numeracy in Indonesia are classified as low, so the government has made new policies, one of which is the application of questions based on the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) in the National Assessment. Observation results from several high schools in Pekanbaru, Riau, have not shown the application of AKM questions to biology learning. This research aimed to produce AKM-based reading and numeracy literacy instruments on high school plant and animal bioprocess materials used in Research and Development (R&D) design, where the subjects were grade XII students at three high schools in Pekanbaru city. Data collection instruments were the test instruments that had been developed. Data were analyzed using Rasch modelling assisted by Winstep software, including Wright map analysis, person capability analysis, item capability analysis, scalogram analysis, and question item analysis. The results show that most students have a logic score below 0.0, meaning that reading and numeracy literacy skills and understanding concepts are still low. Four out of 63 students have inappropriate answer patterns, indicating that students did not work on the questions seriously. Then, the analysis results show 14 fit questions; having a Cronbach alpha value of 0.84 with a very high interpretation, a person reability value of 0.77 with sufficient interpretation, and an item reability value of 0.92 in the very high category; the difficulty level of the question items is in line with the rules of the test instrument development, since there is a spread of difficulty of the question items starting from very difficult, hard, medium, easy, and very easy. Thus, it is concluded that the instrument test can be used to measure reading literacy and numeracy skills based on AKM on plant and animal bioprocess materials
