Enhancing Students' Reading Literacy through the Implementation of Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum (RWAC) Using BukuAku
This study evaluated the effectiveness of BukuAku, an interactive digital library application, in enhancing elementary school students’ reading literacy through the Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum (RWAC) approach. As digital learning tools become increasingly integral in early education, this study aimed to assess the impact of BukuAku on students’ reading comprehension using a quantitative research design. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was implemented involving 30 third-grade students over a four-month intervention period (January–April 2025). Two main instruments were employed in this study. The first instrument was the Lumina Testing Service (LTS), a Lexile-based quantitative reading assessment tool that is widely used internationally and supported by documented validity and reliability. The second was BukuAku, a digital library that provided leveled digital texts, audio narration, and quizzes to support the learning process. Reading proficiency was measured using the LTS before and after the intervention. Statistical analysis using a paired samples t-test revealed a significant increase in students’ Lexile scores, from a mean of 700.17 (SD = 26.375) in the pretest to 832.33 (SD = 39.277) in the posttest. These results demonstrate a substantial improvement in reading comprehension following the intervention. The findings support the efficacy of integrating digital literacy tools with cross-curricular reading and writing approaches to strengthen reading comprehension in early grades. This study contributes to the empirical literature on educational technology integration and highlights the value of structured, interactive literacy interventions. Future research is recommended to explore long-term impacts and broader implementation across diverse educational context
The Integration of Aswaja NU Values and Kohlberg's Theory as the Foundation of Early Childhood Moral Education in Indonesia: A Conceptual Study
This article synthesizes the theory of moral development according to Lawrence Kohlberg with the values of Aswaja NU and the practice of guidance-counseling (BK) as a conceptual model of early childhood moral education in Indonesia. The purpose of the paper is to formulate an integrative framework that combines moral rationality (Kohlberg) with the spiritual-cultural dimension of Aswaja NU through the medium of implementing BK services in PAUD and elementary schools. The method used is a systematic review based on PRISMA 2015–2025 on reputable databases, followed by screening, quality assessment, and content analysis with thematic coding of 35 journal articles and 5 relevant book chapters. The results show: (1) the child's preconventional stage becomes the foundation of moral reasoning that needs to be stimulated through social-reflective experiences; (2) Aswaja values (tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh, i'tidal, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, rahmah) complement the individualistic-secular bias in the Kohlberg framework; (3) classical, group, and individual BK services are effective in internalizing values through dialogue, example, habituation, and behavior reinforcement. Conclusion: Kohlberg-Aswaja-BK integration produces a holistic, contextual, and applicative "Aswaja-Based Moral Counseling" model that is holistic, contextual, and applicative to strengthen character education and religious moderation in early childhood in Indonesia
Reduction of the Heavy Metal Mercury (Hg) from Paningkaban Gold Mining Tailings, Bayumas, with Ageratum Conyzoides
Gold is a fairly large contributor to Indonesia's foreign exchange. The area that has the potential to have minerals is Banyumas Regency. This area has been indicated to have gold mineral reserves of around 16,000 hectares. Until now, the gold processing process still uses mercury, which produces negative impacts such as post-mining waste containing heavy metal mercury (Hg), which can cause environmental damage. Environmental damage that arises, such as pollution of the soil and water environment, due to the gold bioleaching process that is disposed of without any treatment. One alternative that can be used to overcome this problem is by using hyperaccumulator plants. One plant that falls into the hyperaccumulator category is the bandotan plant (Ageratum conyzoides), because it is often found in gold mining areas contaminated with mercury. Mercury contamination will be absorbed from the environment into the body of Ageratum conyzoides through membranes and converted into less toxic substances. The aim of this research is to determine the ability of the Ageratum conyzoides plant as a phytoremediation agent in reducing mercury metal (Hg) in tailings from Paningkaban Village, Banyumas. There are two treatments, namely the planting media used with 2 kg of tailings soil and 2 kg of planting media mixed with tailings and compost. The mixture ratio between tailings and compost is 1:1. Each treatment, consisting of three replications, was observed using plant growth parameters (plant height and number of leaves), as well as control parameters (edaphic and microclimatic). The results of the research show that the Ageratum conyzoides plant is a phytoremediation agent that can reduce levels of the heavy metal mercury (Hg) in the planting medium of mining tailings soil from Paningkaban Village, because it gives test results of BCF values > 1 and TF < 1, which indicates that the Ageratum conyzoides plant has potential as a phytostabilizing agent

The results obtained 6 clusters with their respective characteristics. Cluster 1 consists of 27 districts/cities, cluster 2 consists of 59 districts/cities, cluster 3 consists of 23 districts/cities, cluster 4 consists of 264 districts/cities, cluster 5 consists of 103 districts/cities and cluster 6 consists of 38 districts/cities
Effectiveness of various leg muscle training methods on increasing leg muscle strength
Lower limb muscle strength is crucial for functional human activities, providing body stabilization, maintaining posture, and enabling various movements. Insufficient training can hinder muscle protein synthesis, leading to diminished strength in the lower limbs. Regular training, particularly resistance exercises, is essential for improving this strength. Numerous training methods have been developed, such as resistance training, plyometric exercises, bodyweight exercises, isolation training, movement-based practices, and technology-assisted techniques, though their relative effectiveness remains a topic of ongoing evaluation. This literature review aims to assess the effectiveness of various lower limb strength training methods across diverse populations, including adolescents, athletes, and older adults. The review involved a systematic search of PubMed and Google Scholar, using defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 16 eligible studies. The effectiveness of each training method was analyzed by comparing study findings, which incorporated different research designs. All included studies indicated significant improvements in lower limb strength, although the magnitude of the improvements varied based on training intensity, duration, and participant characteristics. Compound and resistance training demonstrated comprehensive strength gains, plyometric exercises improved explosive power, and isolation training was particularly effective for strengthening specific muscle groups. Among older adults, combined training proved to be the most effective, enhancing both strength and balance, as well as functional mobility. These results highlight that no single training method is universally superior, underscoring the importance of customizing exercise programs to meet individual needs and objectives

A Analysis of Tempering Treatment after Hardening on S45C steel Bogie Pin Materials in relation to Mechanical Strength
S45C steel is a medium carbon steel used for railway bogie pins due to its high strength. However, this steel does not meet the minimum hardness standard for bogie pin products, requiring further processing. The specific objectives of this study are: a) to investigate the effect of tempering temperature variations on the mechanical properties of S45C steel, and b) to determine the optimal tempering temperature and time recommended for heat treatment of S45C steel.
The research method applied was an experiment with hardening treatment at a temperature of 910°C for 20 minutes, followed by tempering treatment at temperatures of 175°C, 225°C, and 275°C for 20 minutes of air cooling. The testing process carried out included tensile strength testing, hardness testing, and microstructure testing.
The results of this study showed that the test specimen with tempering treatment at a temperature of 175℃ was the best among the other test specimens because it was more suitable for industrial needs. This test specimen had a maximum stress value of 948.6 MPa, a maximum strain value of 7.76%, a Vickers hardness value of 358.06 VHN, and a microstructure consisting of ferrite and martensite phases, making the tempering process at a temperature of 175℃ almost close to the standards set by the company
The role of family counseling in handling economic problems and family harmony
Family economic problems represent a critical factor that can disrupt household harmony and overall well-being. Financial stressors such as income instability, debt, lack of financial management skills, and differing financial values may undermine communication, intensify conflict, and diminish emotional support among family members. This study aims to explore the role of counselors in addressing economic challenges within families and fostering harmony through family counseling. Employing a qualitative approach, data were gathered to capture in-depth perspectives on the impact of economic issues and the interventions provided. Family counseling is viewed as a process that engages all members in identifying problems, enhancing communication, and developing mutually beneficial solutions. Counselors utilize various approaches, including systemic family therapy, narrative methods, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, while integrating financial planning and collaborating with financial experts when necessary. Findings indicate that effective counseling interventions contribute to increased family resilience, improved emotional stability, and strengthened interpersonal relationships, even in the context of severe economic strain. This study underscores the importance of combining psychosocial support with financial guidance to restore harmony, maintain stability, and promote a cohesive, supportive family environment
Analysis of Attachment Styles and Relationship Dynamics in Early Adulthood: Implications for the Need for Premarital Counseling
Premarital counseling is increasingly recognized as important in Indonesia, yet the influence of attachment styles and relationship conditions on counseling needs among young adults is not well understood. This study examined the distribution of attachment styles, relationship conditions, and demographics, and their effect on the perceived need for premarital counseling. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 480 young adults aged 18–40 using self-report questionnaires, and rare-event penalized logistic regression accounted for the highly unbalanced outcome. Results showed moderate levels of secure, disorganized, anxious, and avoidant attachment, with secure attachment slightly more common. Almost all participants (99.4%) reported needing premarital counseling. Regression analysis indicated that higher secure attachment scores were positively associated with counseling needs (OR = 1.82). Most participants were single, without children, and reported neutral to positive relationship conditions. These findings suggest young adults recognize the value of premarital counseling for emotional preparation and relational skill development, highlighting the need for interventions tailored to individual attachment profiles. Counseling programs should be culturally sensitive, adaptable, and attachment-informed, emphasizing communication, conflict resolution, and self-reflection to support long-term relationship satisfaction. Future research should adopt longitudinal and mixed-method approaches to better understand motivations and counseling needs
