    Peran Kelompok Minoritas Mawali dalam Pengembangan Islam Masa Dinasti Abbasiyah

    Masa Dinasti Abbasiyah terkenal sebagai masa kejayaan Islam. Berbagai bidang seperti ilmu pengetahuan, politik, dan budaya mengalami kemajuan yang pesat pada masa ini. Namun, dibalik semua kejayaan tersebut, peran dari kelompok minoritas menjadi penting. Kelompok tersebut adalah kelompok Mawali. Kelompok ini adalah kumpulan dari orang-orang Islam, namun bukan keturunan Arab atau bisa juga berasal dari kalangan budak. Meskipun begitu, mereka memiliki kelebihan daripada orang-orang Arab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengungkapkan peran dari kelompok minoritas Mawali ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah. Metode ini terdiri dari heuristic, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan penulisan (historiografi). Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah pada masa Abbasiyah orang-orang Mawali memiliki kedudukan yang lebih mulia daripada masa Umayyah. Kedudukan yang lebih baik ini memicu keaktifan dari orang-orang Mawali dalam mengembangkan berbagai hal seperti ilmu pengetahuan, budaya, dan politik. Peran Mawali lebih jauh lagi telah membawa Abbasiyah kepada kejayaan Islam. Namun, karena posisi yang semakin tinggi, kemudian orang-orang Mawali sendiri mulai mendirikan dinasti - dinasti kecil mereka sendiri.Kata Kunci: Mawali, Abbasiyah, Kejayaan, Islam

    The victory of each athlete in achieving peak performance in the midst of competition depends on the communication skills of players and coaches. When competing in a competition, communication is very important and cannot be ignored. Whether in individual or group numbers in the middle of the competition, communication becomes even closer. The purpose of this research is to see how athletes and coaches of the South Korean archery women's team communicate during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics finals. This research method is using semiotics (Peirce), the performance of the South Korean women's archery team in the final of the women's team competition is examined. The conclusion of this study shows that communication between archers and coaches is dominated by non-verbal communication in the women's team symbolised by high-fives

    The effects of the wobble board on archery accuracy at 30 meters for archers

    This research aims to determine whether wobble board training methods affect shooting accuracy in archers at a distance of 30 meters. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 12 archers aged 15–18 years, selected from the SELABORA Archery of FIK UNY. The instrument used was archery at a 30 meters distance. The data analysis technique employed Normality Test using SPSS 25 software, followed by a Homogeneity Test to determine whether sample variances derived from the same population were equal. Based on the research findings and discussion: Based on the analysis of the archery accuracy data of SELABORA Archery FIK UNY, the calculated t value (5,437) > t table (2,20), and the p value (0,000) < of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that wobble board training significantly affects archery accuracy at 30 meters among SELABORA Archery FIK UNY

    This research aims to: (1) assess the effect of online coaching-based workouts on enhancing muscle endurance of female members of Immunity Fit Club; (2) evaluate the effect of online coaching-based workouts on regulating body composition of female members of Immunity Fit Club; and (3) analyze the efficacy of online coaching-based workout training programs in enhancing muscle endurance and managing body composition of female members of Immunity Fit Club. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, focusing on a group of 50 female members from Immunity Fit Club online coaching class. The research sample comprised 22 respondents selected by purposive sampling. This research employed a data collection technique involving an initial assessment by anthropometric measurements to ascertain body composition prior to the training program, followed by subsequent measurements at the program's conclusion. The data analysis method employed the normality test and t-test. The research findings indicate favorable alterations in the body composition of female members of Immunity Fit Club following 18 online coaching sessions utilizing the circuit training method. This fitness training program effectively attain the specified objectives, as shown by alterations in body circumference and weight. T-test examination of muscle endurance reveal a substantial enhancement (p < 0.05) across all evaluated parameters: arm muscles (Push Up, t = -14.289), abdominal muscles (Sit Up, t = -13.420), core muscles (Plank, t = -20.695), and leg muscles (Wall Squat, t = -18.450)

    Mahasiswa sebagai bagian dari civitas akademika perguruan tinggi dewasa ini dituntut   untuk   melakukan   publikasi   ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui trend publikasi ilmiah yang dilakukan mahasiswa Program Magister Pendidikan Jasmani FIKK UNY angkatan 2021-2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskrptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey tentang studi kasus (casus study research) pemetaan penelitian mahasiswa. Instrumen dan pengumpulan data penelitian ini pedoman ceklist dan studi dokumentasi. Populasi dan sampel yang ditetapkan peneliti untuk dipelajari dan kemudian ditarik kesimpulannya dalam penelitian ini seluruh publikasi ilmiah sebanyak 42 yang ditemukan dari karya mahasiswa Program Magister Pendidikan Jasmani FIKK UNY. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan persentase. Hasil Trend publikasi ilmiah karya mahasiswa Program Magister Pendidikan Jasmani FIKK UNY angkatan 2021-2024 sebagai berikut; 1) Jenis publikasi paling dominan adalah karya ilmiah yang diterbitkan di jurnal internasional, dengan jumlah 33 publikasi atau 78,57%. 2) jenis penelitian yang dipublikasikan mayoritas menggunakan penelitian jenis deskriptif, sejumlah 10 publikasi atau 23,81%, 3) subjek penelitian yang dipublikasikan mayoritas merupakan peserta didik, sejumlah 18 publikasi atau 42,86%, 4) lokasi penelitian yang dipublikasikan mayoritas dilakasnakan di sekolah, sejumlah 31 publikasi atau 73,81%. SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATION TREND OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION MASTER PROGRAM FIKK UNY AbstractsStudents as part of the higher education academic community are currently required to carry out scientific publications. This study aims to determine the trend of scientific publications by students of the Master of Physical Education Program, FIKK UNY batch 2021-2024. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with a survey approach about case studies (casus study research) mapping student research. This research instrument and data collection are checklist guidelines and documentation studies. The population and sample set by researchers to study and then draw conclusions in this study were all 42 scientific publications found from the work of students of the Master of Physical Education Program at FIKK UNY. Data analysis techniques are carried out by quantitative descriptive analysis with percentages. Trend results of scientific publications by students of the Master of Physical Education Program FIKK UNY batch 2021-2024 as follows; 1) The most dominant type of publication is scientific work published in international journals, with 33 publications or 78.57%. 2) the majority of published research types use descriptive type research, a total of 10 publications or 23.81%, 3) the majority of published research subjects are students, a total of 18 publications or 42.86%, 4) the majority of published research locations are carried out in schools, a total of 31 publications or 73.81%

    Riffaterre's Semiotic Analysis in Puji Texts

    The Puji text by KGPAA Mangkunagara IV contains moral teachings that are important to pass on to the younger generation in order to shape noble character and build a strong personality. This study describes the physical form and composition of the text and analyzes its content using Riffaterre's semiotic approach. The method used is descriptive with a Modern Philology approach, with the primary data source being the Puji text. Data collection was carried out through philological research steps such as transcription, translation, and content analysis based on Riffaterre's semiotic method. The analysis includes four main elements: the discontinuity of poetic expression, heuristic and retroactive or hermeneutic readings, matrix, model, and variant, and the hypogram leading to intertextual relations. The results of the study show that the physical form of the text is a printed Javanese script, while its composition is in the form of a single-metric macapat song, Dhandhanggula. Riffaterre's semiotic analysis reveals that the content of the text includes teachings to always pray sincerely for the safety of one's parents, to ask for God's grace or blessings, and that parents who show love and care for others will receive good rewards

    Effectiveness of corncob-based activated carbon bioadsorbent for reducing iron and bromate levels in mineral water using a continuous method

    This study aims to determine the characteristics of activated carbon made from corn cobs and its effectiveness as a bioadsorbent in reducing iron and bromate levels in bottled drinking water (AMDK). The carbon was activated using 5% HCl and applied in a continuous column system, where the water flowed by gravity. Variations in adsorbent mass and flow rate were used to observe their influence on adsorption efficiency. Characterization results showed that the corn cob activated carbon met the SNI 06-3730-1995 standard, with a moisture content of 3.62%, ash 0.94%, volatile matter 5.9%, and pure activated carbon 89.8%. The optimum adsorbent mass was 1.3 grams, resulting in a decrease in iron levels from 5 mg/L to 0.0155 mg/L, and bromate from 0.08373 mg/L to 0.0015 mg/L"”both within the limits set by SNI 3553-2015. The removal efficiency (Ep) reached 99.69% for iron ions and 97.61% for bromate at a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min and a contact time of 120 minutes.     Case study of student participation in transition program: Literature review

    Transition programs for students with disabilities are an effort to prepare students from school to post-school life. According to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA), transition services must be coordinated, outcome-oriented, and tailored to individual student needs. Taxonomy for Transition Programming 2.0 emphasizes five key areas, including student-focused planning, self-determination development, and student participation in developing an IEP. This study aims to explore the role of students with disabilities in transition programs through a literature review. The method employed was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. The literature search was conducted through the ERIC, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Sage Journals databases. The results show that student participation in transition programs varies, with students with severe intellectual disabilities tending to have lower participation rates.     Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis faktor penyebab alih kode yang terdapat dalam interaksi dan komunikasi keluarga amalgamasi DP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif analisis konten dan dengan metode pengumpulan data simak, teknik yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data   dilakukan dengan teknik catat. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis data kualitatif model Miles dan Hubermas dengan langkah 1) seleksi data,2) reduksi data, 3) display data,4) analisis data, serta 5) penyimpulan. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti yang bertindak sebagai pengumpul data, penganalis data. Instumen pembantu yang adalah kartu data hasil simak catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya alih kode dalam komunikasi keluarga DP ada enam yakni 1) klarifikasi keadaaan,2) kebutuhan atau keadaan pribadi,3) perubahan topik pembicaraan,4) mitra penutur yang menggunakan kode yang berbeda, 5) penjelas atau penegasan,6) mengefektifkan maksud pembicaraan.    This research aims to comprehensively describe and analyse the factors that cause code-switching in the interaction and communication of DP amalgamation families. The type of research used is qualitative content analysis research and using the observational data collection method, the technique used to obtain data is using note-taking techniques. The collected data was analysed using the Miles and Hubermas model of qualitative data analysis with steps 1) data selection, 2) data reduction, 3) data display, 4) data analysis, and 5) conclusion. The research instrument is the researcher, who acts as a data collector and data analyst. Auxiliary instruments are data cards, which are the results of note-taking. Research results There are five causes of code-switching, namely 1) clarification of circumstances, 2) personal needs or circumstances, 3) change in the topic of discussion, 4) speaker partners who use different codes, 5) explanation or confirmation, 6) make the purpose of the conversation more effective

    Educational journey: from the Roman era, the Dutch colonial period, to Muhammadiyah in Indonesia

    Education in Indonesia has experienced a long journey, from the Dutch colonial period to the education development carried out by Muhammadiyah. This article aims to analyse the evolution of education in Indonesia by highlighting the influence of each period on the current education system. During the Dutch colonial period, education was used to strengthen colonial power, where access to education was very limited for indigenous peoples and prioritised colonial interests. However, this period also gave birth to awareness of the importance of education, which became the foundation for the Islamic education movement in Indonesia. The research method used in this article is the library research method, where data is collected from various literature sources, including books, journal articles, and other related documents. This approach allows researchers to analyse and interpret existing information comprehensively and provide a deeper context regarding the evolution of education in Indonesia over time. Muhammadiyah, which was founded in 1912, plays an important role in educational reform in Indonesia by integrating Islamic values in the curriculum and developing inclusive educational institutions. Through an approach that focuses on character and quality education, Muhammadiyah has established thousands of schools and universities that provide formal education and shape students' character according to Islamic values. Thus, Muhammadiyah's contribution to education reflects efforts to create a generation that is intelligent, noble, and ready to face global challenges. This article is expected to provide insight into the journey of education in Indonesia and the important role played by various historical periods in shaping the current education system.Pendidikan di Indonesia telah mengalami perjalanan panjang mulai dari masa penjajahan Belanda hingga perkembangan pendidikan yang dilakukan oleh Muhammadiyah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis evolusi pendidikan di Indonesia dengan menyoroti pengaruh setiap periode terhadap sistem pendidikan saat ini. Pada masa penjajahan Belanda, pendidikan digunakan sebagai alat untuk memperkuat kekuasaan kolonial, di mana akses pendidikan sangat terbatas bagi masyarakat adat dan mengutamakan kepentingan kolonial. Namun, periode ini juga melahirkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan, yang kemudian menjadi landasan bagi gerakan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode penelitian perpustakaan, di mana data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber literatur, termasuk buku, artikel jurnal, dan dokumen terkait lainnya. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk menganalisis dan menafsirkan informasi yang ada secara komprehensif, serta memberikan konteks yang lebih dalam mengenai evolusi pendidikan di Indonesia dari waktu ke waktu. Muhammadiyah yang didirikan pada tahun 1912 berperan penting dalam reformasi pendidikan di Indonesia dengan mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam dalam kurikulum dan mengembangkan lembaga pendidikan yang inklusif. Melalui pendekatan yang berfokus pada karakter dan kualitas pendidikan, Muhammadiyah telah berhasil mendirikan ribuan sekolah dan universitas yang tidak hanya menyelenggarakan pendidikan formal, tetapi juga membentuk karakter siswa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Dengan demikian, kontribusi Muhammadiyah terhadap pendidikan mencerminkan upaya menciptakan generasi yang cerdas, mulia, dan siap menghadapi tantangan global. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang perjalanan pendidikan di Indonesia dan peran penting yang dimainkan oleh berbagai periode sejarah dalam membentuk sistem pendidikan saat ini
