Availability of efficient alternative renewable energy sources has mandated AEDC to employ modern HRMP in order to stimulate corporate entrepreneurship and reap its attendant benefits such as strategic and routine innovative problem-solving ideas in the areas of fault detection, repairs and maintenance among others. This research looked at how corporate entrepreneurship was impacted by HRM practices at the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company\u27s (AEDC) Bida branch. The instrument used was structured questionnaire which was measured using 5-point Likert scale. A sample of eighty-eight (88) employees of the AEDC in Bida branch using Taro Yamane (1976) sample size were selected from a population of one hundred and thirteen (113) employees of AEDC in Bida branch using simple random sampling technique. The data generated through questionnaire were analyzed using Multiple Regression analysis. The regression results shows that recruitment and selection, employee compensation, and performance management all significantly affect corporate entrepreneurship in the AEDC Bida local government (P< 0.05), while training and development has no significant effect on corporate entrepreneurship (P>0.05). As a result, the study draws the conclusion that human resources management practices significantly influences corporate entrepreneurship. The study, therefore, recommended among others: AEDC in Bida branch should implement appropriate employee rewards strategies that will lead to improvements in managing electricity distribution networks and customer complaints. Monetary Policy Performance and Economic Growth: An Empirical Evidence for WAMZ Member Countries
This study examines the effect of monetary policy on economic growth of West African Monetary Zone (WAMZ) countries from 2002 - 2022. In the model, money supply (M2), interest rate (INTR), and inflation rate (INFR) are considered the independent variable while real gross domestic product (RGDP) is given as the dependent variable. This study used Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and Panel regression analysis, and finding indicate that money supply and interest rate have positive and statistically significant impact on economic growth among WAMZ member countries. The inflation rate has negative and significant impact on GDP. The random effect model on the other hand reveals that money supply is positive and statistically significant on GDP. Similarly, the effect of interest rate is positive but statistically insignificant on economic growth. However, the impact of inflation rate is negative but statistically significant on economic growth of the WAMZ member countries. Therefore, the study recommends the implementation of sound monetary policies such as expansionary Open Market Operation (to increase money supply as increase in money supply increases economic growth), adjust the contractionary discount rate (by reducing the rate of interest rate in order to expand liquidity and investment). The study also recommended that WAMZ country’s banks should be committed to the mission of price stability, as well as improving the regulatory and supervisory framework to secure a strong financial sector for efficient intermediation, economic growth and development
Commodity Price Shock and Economic Performance: An Empirical Evidence for Nigeria
Interconnected economies in the world commodity market may cause external shocks that slow indigenous countries\u27 economic growth and development. Nigeria is a commodity-dependent country, hence, commodity price shocks have harmed its institutional and fiscal framework for economic growth, despite efforts to save the economy. It is crucial to assess the effects of local and external commodity price volatility shocks on emerging nations\u27 growth since they plunge millions into abject poverty. It is in this context, this study examines commodity price shock and economic performance with an empirical evidence for Nigeria. This study employs Multivariate Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (MGARCH) to capture both gradual and unexpected changes in commodity price shock in Nigeria from 1980Q1 – 2021Q1. The results showed positive volatility shock effect on each variable caused by its past innovations while parameters of the independent variables indicated innovations of shock effects on economic performance. Also exports of other non-oil commodities can reduce dependence of real exchange rate on world commodity prices by having more diversified exports. The study recommends for diversification towards agricultural production to stabilize the real exchange rate of Naira from world commodity price shocks. Finally, Nigeria can protect her competitiveness from fluctuations in world commodity prices by being more opened to external trade

Four hundred questionnaires were drawn and administered to respondents, including 112 librarians, 163 teachers and 125 Administrators and staff of the Federal Ministry of Education. Interviews were conducted with some selected librarians, principals, teachers, and Federal Ministry of Education staffs. They were selected by cluster sampling technique, using table of random numbers. One null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 alpha levels using weighted least square regression analysis. The findings show that Liberians efforts have significant influence on national development since the p-values from the result table are less than 0.05. The study recommends a feasible working relationship between the Federal Ministry of Education and the Nigerian Librarian Association for fast growth of national development
