    “TELANG TEA TIME”, MINUMAN SEHAT PENANGKAL HIPERTENSI

    Hypertension is characterized by blood pressure above 140/90 mmHg and is an alarm of hemodynamic imbalance in the body. Hypertension is a silent killer. One of the efforts that can be made to stabilize blood pressure is by consuming telang (Clitoria ternatea L.) flower herbal drinks. The high antioxidant content in telang flowers is beneficial for health. To introduce the benefits of flowers to the community, community service activities were carried out in Tunge Village, Kediri Regency. This community service was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method with a total of 238 participants. The community service was carried out in July-August 2024. It was divided into three activity groups. In each implementation, the activity was divided into six stages, namely: health screening, pretest, hypertension education, demonstration of making telang flower tea, tester, and testimony, then was closed with a post-test. There were several results obtained from the implementation of the community service activities, which were the increase in residents' knowledge about hypertension, the benefits of Clitoria ternatea L. flowers for health, and how to process Clitoria ternatea L. flowers into herbal drinks that are efficacious for health. In the processing into herbal drinks, the flower can be combined with other herbal ingredients to obtain other properties and a more delicious taste

    The huge potential of the Kelumbayan coastal area is a treasure trove of local wisdom that promises to improve the population's economy and can be used as a source of learning based on local wisdom, it should be an important part of the student learning process. STEM is an interdisciplinary approach to learning in which students use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in real contexts that connect schools, the world of work, and the global world that aims to build the literacy of the younger generation in these fields. The application of STEM combined with local wisdom as a learning resource for students is a new support for innovative learning for educators and students in Kelumbayan. The service was carried out in the Kelumbayan sub-district by presenting representatives of educators spread across several schools in seven villages. The service is carried out by applying the pretest first and the posttest at the end of the service program. Elementary school teachers in Kelumbayan District together have an understanding of the STEM learning approach and other innovative learning models that teach students, besides the simulation of teaching practice using this approach has provided enlightenment for teachers in carrying out classroom learning

    Mechanic Haircut micro business is a small business with the advantage of selling excellent services but is not yet well-known by many people. This service aimed to assist in creating creative promotional content to attract more customers by utilizing Instagram and TikTok applications. The method used in the marketing promotion consisted of 3 stages, namely observation stage, training assistance, and presentation. The community service obtained a positive result in which the activities carried out enabled the micro business owners to utilize Instagram and TikTok media as free promotional media to increase their customers. Using image editing apps and feeds containing edited images could provide recommendations for the target audience so they would be interested in becoming customers. After the service activities were carried out with good dedication and were successful in assisting Mechanic Haircut micro business, the increase in customers could be observed every day

    Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that results in impaired growth in toddlers, which can have a negative impact on the child's physical and cognitive development. Jember Regency has a fairly high prevalence of stunting, including in Ngampelrejo Village. This community service program aims to educate mothers of kindergarten and PAUD students in Ngampelrejo Village about preventing stunting through a demonstration of making green bean milk, which is known to be rich in nutrients. This activity was carried out in three stages: socialization about stunting, socialization about the nutritional value and benefits of green beans, and practical training in making green bean milk. The methods used included lectures, interactive discussions, direct demonstrations, and active participant participation. The evaluation results showed that the participants had a good understanding of stunting and the benefits of green beans, with the average assessment scores were 8 and 9 respectively. In the skill of making green bean milk, participants showed adequate ability with a score of 8. The participants also showed high involvement in the discussion and considered the knowledge gained easy to apply at home, with an average score of 9. This program succeeded in increasing the understanding and skills of mothers in preventing stunting by processing green beans into nutritious milk. Thus, this training is expected to be an effective model to be implemented in other villages with similar problems, so that it can help reduce stunting rates and improve the quality of life of children in Jember Regency

    Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is described as a developmental disorder characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD can be classified into three subtypes depending on the intensity of symptoms: inattention dominant, hyperactive-impulsive dominant, and combined. Preschool age, also known as early childhood, is the age when growth patterns develop rapidly. The golden period is when children younger than six years old acquire excellent skills, such as perception, interaction, and speaking. During this period, children learn to process information quickly, become reliable models, become smarter and smarter than what they see, and form the basis for the formation of their attitudes and knowledge. The study was conducted with the parents of Posyandu Balita Cempaka 4 Sudiroprajan members as the participants. Based on the pretest and posttest analysis, it could be seen that after health education about early detection in children, the parents' knowledge increased. In addition, play therapy methods were used to prevent cases of ADHD in children, reducing the case rate from 10% to 100% good knowledge

    Public speaking skills still need to be wholly owned by students. This reluctance to appear publicly is due to low self-confidence and minimal mastery of public speaking techniques. This inability causes communication that should be effective to be degraded. There often needs to be more clarity in communication in public. These misconceptions are documented and spread all over the web. Santri also becomes vulnerable to acts of bullying or bullying in cyberspace. This Community Service activity by the UIN Walisongo International KKN team, held at Ma'had Tahfiz Darul Falah Selangor, aims to assist students at the ma'had. Hence, they have good public speaking skills using the coaching clinic method. The results of this activity indicated that students who initially had low public speaking skills experienced an increase in their public speaking skills following the mentoring activities for learning to speak in public. This is indicated by students' positive responses while participating in the action, and the questionnaire results related to students' perceptions of the activity.

    Chemistry learning integrates three components, microscopic, macroscopic, and symbolic. However, during the Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, which lasted approximately two years, it caused delays in the learning process that integrated microscopic, macroscopic, and symbolic components, resulting in a decline in students' understanding. Therefore, community service brings new insights to chemistry teachers in Magelang city and introduces learning activities through small chemistry courses on acid-base titration materials with the theme of neutralization reactions.  This training was conducted by 2 lecturers and 3 students offline at SMAS Tarakanita Magelang. Based on the results of the satisfaction rating, 71.23% of the participants answered that it was very useful and 28.7% of the participants thought it was useful.

    English learning is no longer taught as a local content program at UPT SD Inpres 6/80 Latellang because the curriculum that originally applied KTSP was changed to the 2013 curriculum. English subjects were not removed from the 2013 curriculum but are also not required in every elementary school. This caused the children at UPT SD Inpres 6/80 Latellang to be unfamiliar with English. The method of implementing this English training uses a service learning method assisted by ATK media and speakers. The results show that most students feel interested in teaching English through songs. This is evidenced by the increased memory related to the material being taught and the student’s interest in learning English

    Choosing a healthy food menu is very important to maintain daily health. Especially for young children, fulfilling balanced nutrition must be based on a healthy diet. Because it will have an impact on the child's growth and development. However, in practice, there are still many parents who do not understand well about choosing a healthy food menu. Therefore, one solution that can be provided is to provide training in making healthy food menus. This community service is aimed at parents or guardians of students from Bustanul Athfal Rabak Kindergarten. The application of Instagram social media can also be used as a tool to help solve problems. This Instagram media is considered effective for sharing knowledge about healthy food menus. So parents use Instagram media to look for healthy menu recipes and try to apply the recipes given. The method applied in this community service activity is direct lectures and training using the Instagram application to access recipes for healthy food menus and direct practice in making healthy food menus. The results are that students or parents can use Instagram to search for healthy food menu recipes and understand how to make healthy food menu recipes
