Pembangunan dan Implementasi Sistem Informasi Bank Darah di PMI dan RSUD Muntilan Kabupaten Magelang
Blood bank administration in PMI, Magelang Regeency is still managed manually, which prevents hospitals from accessing information on blood stock quickly. Hospitals can access information about blood stock by phone only. Such a manual system could be a problem in delivering an excellent service. Therefore, a solution is required to improve the quality of services delivered by PMI. The use of information technology called Blood Bank Information System (SIBD/Sistem Informasi Bank Darah) is promising to improve the quality of services of the PMI. The SIBD helps the hospital to improve time efficiency in the blood demand process. There were several activities which have been completed, i.e.: 1) Developing SIBD at PMI of Magelang Regency; 2) Improving hardware facilities at PMI of Magelang Regency and RSUD Muntilan, including the procurement of computer hardware, modem, and Internet access for each institution; 3) Training on the use of SIBD for both PMI and hospital staff. The results wrer: 1). SIBD at PMI which is linked to RSUD Muntilan and other hospitals for blood supply information and online order; 2) Blood Bank Administration Database which can improve quality of service; 3) capability of PMI and RSUD Muntilan, Magelang Regency staff in utilizing SIBD to improve services to patients
Pelatihan Proses Pasteurisasi Sebagai Upaya Menumbuhkan Kemandirian Pemasaran Susu Kambing di Kelompok Sukorejo I, Turi, Sleman
The activities of community service which were conducted in Sukorejo, Girikerto, Turi, Sleman aimed to train farmers to be able to produce high quality goat milk, be skillful to process pasteurized milk, and be capable of marketing their dairy products. The activities consisted of counseling and training, focusing on the implementation of hygienic milking procedure and processing pasteurized milk. The community service was carried out in partnership with Plaza Agro, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Universitas Gadjah Mada, which is engaged in the sale of dairy and agricultural products. The training materials consisted of lactating goats, stage pens, goat milk, pasteurization and packaging equipment, and chemicals for milk quality testing. Counseling and discussion were done either during farmers meeting or between their activities in the communal goat houses. The program also carried out the procurement of equipment for milk processing and packaging which was facilitated by IbM Ristek Dikti (Higher Education) program 2016. Training results showed that an increase in the number of farmers who implemented hygienic milking, especially on the sanitation aspect, resulting in good quality milk. Density ranged from 1.030 to 1.034 in gravity, 5.5 to 5.6% of fat content and 15.3 to 15.5% of dry matter. The mild had a good flavor, odorless, and without alcohol. The quality of pasteurized milk was good, odorless, and had a typical goat's milk flavor. The reduction time of metylene blue reduction test was 7.9 hours, indicated that the approximate number of bacteria in milk approached 150000/mL, whose average of shelf life was 7 days. Initial marketing of pasteurized goat milk in Plaza Agro was limited on a small scale. The study concluded that processing pasteurized milk was useful for farmers to find an alternative market of goat milk

The purpose of the Science and Technology Implementation of Nata de Coco Business Owners is toincrease the income of the Nata de Coco business owners through education and training on productprocessing as well as on the management of their business. The idea of implementing science andtechnology for Nata de Coco entrepreneurs stemmed from the fact that nata de coco entrepreneurs weregenerally less skilled in processing nata de coco products. The products were less hygienic and were not marketed under their own trademark. The specific target in IbM's activities was the increasing income of the nata de coco businessmen. The method used to achieve this goal was a collaborative method throughvarious trainings, intensive facilitation, hands-on practice, monitoring and evaluation. Peran Apoteker dalam Pengelolaan Penyakit Degeneratif di Dusun Mergan Sendangmulyo, Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarya
Findings of the preliminary survey showed a high proportion of geriatric people in Dusun Mergan, Sendangmulyo, Sleman, which leads to high risk of cardiovascular and other degenerative diseases. This community service program aimed to identify the health status of Mergan’s people through health screening and to help them to maintain their health. This program was conducted in collaboration between the Faculty members and students of Pharmacy Faculty of Universitas Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta (USD). There were two consecutive periods; the first was in 7th of May and the second was in 22nd of October 2018. Health education, health screening, and health examination were conducted in each period. There were 93 people involved in the first period and 64 people in the second; however, only 32 persons who completely attended the two meeting periods. The program resulted data of 60.7% Mergan’s people with a risk of dyslipidemia, and 59.0% with hyperglycemic. There was no significant difference between the first and the second periods of examination of glucose level, cholesterol, and uric acid. Therefore, it is urgent to educate people in Mergan Village to promote and maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to decrease morbidity of degenerative disease in the community
Edukasi Manfaat Tanaman Obat dan Pengolahannya dengan Metode CBIA di Desa Bulusulur, Kabupaten Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah
The community service program reported in this paper aims to educate people about benefits of herbs and how to process herb raw materials for medication. This community service program was conducted in December 2016. The program involved 25 leaders of housewife communities (Kader PKK) in Bulusulur Village, Wonogiri, Central Java. The education was conducted using the CBIA (Cara Belajar Ibu Aktif) method. The CBIA supports the participants to be active during the education process. Results of the active learning through the CBIA method showed participants knowledge as folows: (1) participants were able to mention that herbal medicines are safe, have no side effects, can be easily obtained around their house; (2) they commonly used herbal for medication more than 4 times per month, obtained from their garden or local market; (3) they were able to mention the benefits of herbs commonly used; for example, temu lawak for stomachache, kunyit for pre-menstrual pain. However, they were not able to differentiate categories of herbal medicines which were produced by herbal manufacturers, such as Jamu, Obat Herbal Terstandar, and Fitofarmaka. Their knowledge about benefits of herbs was limited to those which were available in their garden. They also appreciated the demonstration of producing Bir Jawa and Sambiloto cookies
MENINGKATKAN, BERSAMA PARA GURU, KEMAMPUAN BERLITERASI SISWA SDN SARIKARYA, YOGYAKARTA
The present paper is a report of two activities of community service on developing students literacy at Sarikarya Elementary School in Yogyakarta on 20 October 2017 and 11 May 2018. The activities sprout from the result of the research conducted in the same school in August 2017 to find out to what extent the children from class 1 to class 6 make progress in their writing of a descriptive text. By using the result of our research as the basic material for our community service, we had a discussion with the teachers so that they would be more aware of the literacy competence of their students, and by so doing they could help their students develop their students literacy in writing. This community service also aims to discuss with teachers what kind of activities could be carried out in class to support the development
Mewujudkan Perajin Gerabah yang Mandiri Melalui Program
The purpose of this community service is to enhance entrepreneurial motivation, improve understanding of human resource optimization, improve partners' understanding of business plans and also produce business plan documents as business development plans and improve financial management. As a result, innovative product designs have the value of selling by utilizing information technology, understanding and entrepreneurship skills in their fields, enhancing the ability of craftsmen in using the Internet network for expansion of marketing, improving financial management through cash flow, and the ability of partners to operate a financial-based application program a simple computer. Participatory approaches are used for partners to actively participate in all activities from start to finish. After conducting discussion with Partners 1 and 2, we provided the necessary training and mentoring to help overcome the weaknesses of Partners 1 and Partners 2, pottery craftsmen in Panjangrejo Pundong area, Bantul. After completing the program, it can be concluded that Partner 1 and Partner 2 were extremely enthusiastic in this activity due to the desire to be good at developing their business and all targeted indicators have been achieved, for example, customer identification and availability of production equipment
