大学英語教授法に関する考察-アンドラゴジ理論の実践と効果の分析
This paper discusses university teaching methods, looking at about 46 English classes conducted at three universities in Okinawa during 2002 to 2005. It provides an analysis regarding the theory of andragogy put into practice in a formal education sector. The paper is constructed in three parts: first, it summarizes the theory of andragogy, including the role of a facilitator, self directed learning and multiple intelligence; second, it introduces the implementation of its theory, including concerns in raising students' learning motivation, activities to accelerate the four skills in learning English including peer reviews, presentations, and the use of technology in learning; third, it provides an analysis of the application of this approach made through student evaluations, achievement tests and observations made by the lecturer. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods were used. Literature review, close-ended questionnaires and achievement tests conducted by each university, open-ended questionnaires and tests created by the lecturer, and observation conducted by the lecturer were utilized throughout the process of the research. Research questions are as follows: What are the key ideas in the andragogy approach which provide good methods for language education in higher education? How would a theory be put into good practice and what should be the role of a lecturer including the relationship with the students in learning environment? 宮良長包の音楽教育活動に関する研究(3)-最新の発掘作品を中心に-
宮良長包(1883-1939)が生涯で書き遺した作品は、声楽曲、童謡、オーケストラ曲、校歌、団体歌の約160曲の存在が明らかになっている。しかし、旋律が不明なものや、今だ、戦火に埋もれた作品もあり、筆者はそれらの作品を掘り起こす研究を進めている。本論稿は、最近発見された発掘作品のうち、団体歌、校歌、声楽曲の4曲を取り上げ、その研究過程を実証的に論述するものである。研究の手法として、曲の旋律を記憶している歌唱者の歌を録音、採譜し、聞き取り調査を行うことを手始めに、どのような経過を辿って明らかになっていくのか、人々と長包音楽の関わりをつぶさに見ながらその過程を詳述し、楽曲分析と精査を踏まえ、長包の作曲手法や音楽的特徴についても明らかにする。そして、筆者が、宮良長包の音楽教育者としての視座で継続研究を進めている中で、その前研究に続き、長包の音楽的価値や音楽教育活動の新しい側面を見出す。さらに、発掘作品研究の最新動向や今後の研究課題、方向性について言及していく。発掘作品研究は、長包メロディーをご存知の方々がすでにご高齢である実状を鑑みても、引き続き継続し、1曲でも多くの長包作品に光を当てるという意義は大きいと考える。departmental bulletin pape

韓国「民衆神学」の社会的、神学的位置について
In this thesis I describe the position of Minjung Theology in the context of the Korean civil rights movement against dictatorial political policies in Korea and in relation to the wider theological world. Minjung Theology was born and developed in the harsh context of Korean politics during the 1970s and '80s. The theology denies traditional ways of expressing Christian faith and shows us a new way to interpret the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By looking at the context and situation of Minjung Theology, we will be able to uncover some deeper meaning in it.departmental bulletin pape
日本と韓国の青少年における不全感と不適応感に関する比較研究
This paper discusses feelings of inadequacy in terms of general unhappiness, depression or weariness. It can be said that this sense of inadequacy is a form of frustration or a sign of stress. The present research examines data from a total of 1930 individuals among whom 772 were Korean junior high school students (421 boys and 351 girls) and 1158 were Japanese junior high school students (616 boys and 542 girls). To uncover any indications of maladjustment, the researcher asked students to respond to the following four statements: (a) I wish to run away from home; (b) I want to quit school; (c) I want to die; and (d) I wish to beat someone or commit some act of violence. Between young Japanese and Koreans, the results show a statistically-significant difference in their responses. To each of these items, Koreans showed a higher rate of maladjustment. This was especially the case with the third item, "I want to die." Fifty-five percent of Korean respondents answered in the affirmative compared to only 25 percent of Japanese. The item "I want to quit school," however, showed no significant difference. Of the nine items outlining the sense of inadequacy, the researcher applied principal component analysis to extract three primary components. In these components, the senses of inadequacy were interpreted as being related to maintaining fashion trends, study hours, and career planning. The examination on the first principal component (weariness about being behind the latest fashion) reveals a statistically significant result, with the Japanese students figuring higher than the Korean. In the second and the third components, the young Koreans scored higher with statistical significance. The Korean youngsters seem to worry more about their academic course and future career, while the Japanese seem more concerned with social mores and the latest fashions.departmental bulletin pape
宮良長包の音楽教育活動に関する研究(2)-発掘作品のパフォーマンス化-
宮良長包研究について筆者は、本論文の先行研究以後、長包の音楽教育者として、また、作曲家として、その人物像、教育観についてさまざまな側面から照射し、「長包研究」に取り組んできた。その中で最も意義があったと思われるものは、宮良長包の埋もれた作品の発掘研究である。宮良長包(1883-1939)は、沖縄県下の尋常高等小学校、師範学校で教鞭を執る傍ら、精力的な作曲活動を行ない、学内外で自作曲の教材化や演奏会、慰問演奏の行脚など、教育活動や社会活動に連動させる音楽教育の実践者であった。しかし、自作曲の直筆譜は、1944(昭和19)年の那覇大空襲で焼失、現存していない。戦後、長包の教え子たちによって奇跡的に30数曲が甦ったが、その後は作品総数として、41曲が確認されていた。私の「長包研究」でひとまずの集成ともなった、『宮良長包作曲全集』において、発掘作品を含む102曲を楽譜集に収めることができたが(作品数122曲)、その後も埋もれた作品が発掘され、これまでに判明している作品総数は約160曲に上っている。長包作品の発掘研究は、今なお継続の途にある。本論文は、『宮良長包作曲全集』に楽譜化された発掘作品のうち、演奏などによって再現されたものを、「発掘作品の“パフォーマンス化”」と定義し、3作品に焦点を当てて、どのような経緯を辿って音楽が復活し、発掘作品が“完成されていくか”という過程を、実証的に論述するものである。さらに、長包の作曲活動や音楽教育活動の背景を明らかにしながら、発掘作品のパフォーマンス化の意義についてまとめることとする。departmental bulletin pape
「自由への読書」のための基礎的研究
This article finds out the significance of reading by discussing reading as the best method to cultivate three abilities: "imagination", "critical thinking" and "metacognitive ability that supports self-control", all of which are necessary to "live freely". It is concluded that, since the goal of education is to lead the rising generation to "free living", establishing systematic education program of "disciplinary reading" is important. Eiki Matayoshi's Pig's Revenge: The Dismemberment of a Community
小論では、又吉栄喜著「豚の報い」(以下「報い」)に、沖縄人による沖縄人に対するオリエンタリズムを探り出していきたい。沖縄は、琉球処分以来日本本土を通して、または外国から直接先進国の文物を受け入れてきた。その中で、沖縄人の思想や価値観も大きく変わってきた。財界や政界のエリートたち、特に文化思想的影響に直にさらされた知識人たちは、郷土に対し極めて両義的な感情を抱くようになっていった。この羨望と軽蔑の入り混じった感情が、「報い」の中では、食事を貪る女性たちを観察する主人公正吉の精神態度を特徴づけている。又吉の「報い」に見出されるのは、このように沖縄の後進性を象徴する、他者としての女性であり、正吉によって代表される有識者たちの孤独と疎外感が、この作品からは滲み出ている。彼ら知的リーダーたちは、近代の沖縄に生まれ、そこで生きながら、認識の上ではいつのまにか外にはみ出してしまい、そこから沖縄を「発見」せざるをえなかったと論ずる。departmental bulletin pape

The intensive simultaneous interpretation courses held in the summer at the university have two unique characteristics. One is that the program is open not only to our students but also to students from other colleges as well as adults. The other is that the courses are conducted by teachers of this institute and professional simultaneous interpreters. In this paper, Mr. Teruaki Miyata's lectures are introduced. His lessons are a mastery of the wealth of experiences gained during the rigorous work of simultaneous interpretation. 戦争体験継承の問題についての一考察-沖縄・アジアの視点より見た青山学院高等部入試問題「ひめゆり」証言記述について-
The statement that the explanation was given by a lady who was a survivor of the Himeyuri squad and the comment that "it was boring for me and I got tired of her story" appeared in the entrance examination of the Aoyama Gakuin High School. In this thesis, I try to make clear, from the perspective of people of Okinawa and Asia, why the writer of the exam could use an expression like this by analyzing the context of the sentences in which the writer shows that he believes Japan's war experience was not that of invader of Asia but as a victim. I also question the exam writer's sensitivity to the historical and linguistic relationship between Okinawa and Yamato (the mainland of Japan).departmental bulletin pape
