The Effectiveness of the Treasure Hunt Strategy in Enhancing Arabic Language Learning Outcomes
The research identified problems in teaching Arabic at secondary school that some students have shortcomings in mastering the materials and scores below the Minimum Passing Grade (KKM). This study proposed implementing the Treasure Hunt (TH) as a problem-solving strategy to foster students’ achievement and so intended to investigate its effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of Arabic Language at MTsN 3 Ngawi. This study employed a quantitative experimental research design with data obtained throughout tests, interview, and documentation. The findings proved a significance difference in the scores between two classes after the treatment, whereas the experimental class outperformed the control class with an average score of 9.00 compared to 6.77. The statistical analysis with a two-tailed Mann-Whitney Non-Parametric test yielded a significance value of 0.05 > 0.000 and indicates that the Treasure Hunt learning strategy is effective for enhancing learning outcomes
University Students, Faith, And Social Ethics: A Study Of The Level Religiosity In Higher Education
The increase in suicide, violence, and sexual harassment cases among university students reflects a psychological and moral crisis in higher education. This condition indicates unresolved inner conflicts, which often lead to destructive behavior. This phenomenon raises fundamental questions about how understanding and internalizing religious values can serve as an internal solution to strengthen students' mental, ethical, and spiritual resilience in facing challenges on campus. This study aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and social behavior of university students located in the Surabaya and Sidoarjo areas. Social behavior in this study covers four main aspects: empathy and social concern, cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility. This study uses the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to analyze the paths between constructs through the SMART-PLS application. The results show that religiosity has a significant positive influence on all aspects of social behavior. This finding confirms that the higher the level of religiosity of students, the higher the positive social behavior they exhibit in campus life and society. Thus, properly internalized religious values can serve as a strong foundation for developing caring, tolerant, cooperative, and responsible individuals. These findings are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of religion in shaping students' social behavior and serve as a foundation for character development programs in higher education
Curriculum and Learning Methods Balance in Strengthening Tafaqquh fi Ad-Din in Pesantren-Based Madrasah
The purpose of writing this article is to scrutinize the curriculum and learning methods in pesantren (Islamic boarding school)-based madrasahs in order to accomplish tafaqquh fi ad-din for students. This article also aims to identify the portion and balance between religious and general materials in the applied curriculum structure. In addition, this study explores the learning methods employed and their effectiveness in reinforcing an in-depth understanding of religion. The locus of the research is in Madrasah Aliyah Qudsiyyah Putri, a pesantren based madrasah. The approach used is qualitative with a case study design and descriptive analysis type. Data collection techniques encompass observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings of the study show that Madrasah Aliyah Qudsiyyah Putri creates a balanced curriculum between religious and general education, which seeks to produce graduates who are intellectually intelligent and have noble morals. By integrating modern approaches, yellow books, and technology, this pesantren shapes students who are ready to face the challenges of the times and become agents of social change
Dakwah di Tengah Arus Globalisasi dan Tantangan Postmodernisme: Strategi Menangkal Hoaks dan Fenomena Post-Truth
Globalisasi dan postmodernisme telah mengubah wajah dakwah Islam di era digital. Penyebaran hoaks dan fenomena post-truth menjadi tantangan serius yang mengaburkan otoritas keagamaan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi dakwah dalam menangkal hoaks dan post-truth melalui pendekatan literasi digital, penguatan regulasi, serta penggunaan strategi komunikasi persuasif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi kepustakaan dan observasi virtual pada aktivitas dai di media sosial. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital yang kuat, regulasi hukum yang tegas, serta komunikasi persuasif berbasis etos, logos, dan pathos efektif membantu dai dalam mengedukasi masyarakat terhadap bahaya hoaks. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi dakwah dan literasi digital untuk menjaga otentisitas pesan agama di tengah krisis epistemologis era postmodern. Representasi Dakwah Lintas Budaya dan Agama pada Konten YouTube ‘Login’ Habib Ja’far: Studi Kasus “6 Pemuka Agama Jadi Satu di Lebaran”
Pemahaman dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman budaya dan agama di Indonesia merupakan realitas sosial yang terus berkembang. Dalam konteks ini, media digital memainkan peran penting dalam menyebarkan pesan-pesan pluralisme dan toleransi. Penelitian ini menganalisis representasi dakwah lintas budaya dan agama yang ditampilkan dalam seri video YouTube "Login" bersama Habib Ja’far. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis dari Van Dijk, penelitian ini mengkaji struktur makro, superstruktur, dan mikro dari percakapan yang terdapat dalam video tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diskusi dalam video ini tidak hanya menyoroti perbedaan antaragama, tetapi juga menekankan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan universal yang dijunjung oleh masing-masing ajaran. Respons masyarakat dalam kolom komentar menunjukkan bahwa video ini berhasil membangun pemahaman yang lebih inklusif terhadap keberagaman serta memberikan contoh konkret tentang bagaimana tokoh agama dari berbagai kepercayaan dapat berdialog secara harmonis. Oleh karena itu, media digital dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif dalam menyampaikan pesan-pesan keagamaan yang lebih terbuka dan dapat diterima secara luas oleh masyarakat
THE LIVING HADITH PHENOMENON IN BANJAR SOCIETY: Integrating Ritual Devotion and Social Solidarity in the Al-Ma’sum Majelis Dhikr and Syarikat Kematian
This study aims to analyze the practices of the Majelis Dhikr and Syarikat Kematian Al-Ma’sum at the Al-Ma’sum Mosque in Barabai, Banjar, as a representation of the Living Hadith phenomenon within the Banjar community. Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this research explores how Prophetic traditions are internalized into local customs to fortify both spiritual and social dimensions. The findings demonstrate that the integration of collective dhikr rituals every Wednesday night with an organized funeral assistance system creates a harmony between the dimensions of hablun min Allah (relationship with God) and hablun min al-nas (relationship among humans). The practice of "7 Laksa" dhikr, distributed proportionally among members, is not merely an eschatological ritual but serves as an instrument to cultivate inner tranquility and moral discipline. Concurrently, the Syarikat Kematian functions as a social institution that mitigates the economic burden on bereaved families through self-funded contributions. This study contributes theoretically to the sociology of Islam by offering a model of how mosque institutions can transform into strategic social capital. Furthermore, it asserts that the contextualization of Islamic values into local Banjar culture does not reduce the essence of religious teachings; rather, it strengthens their relevance and continuity in facing contemporary social dynamics. Through the synthesis of ritual devotion and collective responsibility, the Al-Ma’sum Assembly successfully reinforces communal solidarity (ukhuwah) and resilience within the framework of a living tradition.[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik Majelis Dzikir dan Syarikat Kematian Al-Ma’sum di Masjid Al-Ma’sum, Barabai, Banjar sebagai representasi fenomena Living Hadis dalam masyarakat Banjar. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana hadis Nabi diinternalisasi ke dalam tradisi lokal untuk memperkuat dimensi spiritual sekaligus sosial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ritual zikir kolektif setiap malam Rabu dengan sistem bantuan pemulasaraan jenazah yang terorganisir menciptakan harmoni antara dimensi hablun min Allah (hubungan dengan Tuhan) dan hablun min al-Nas (hubungan antarsesama). Praktik zikir 7 Laksa yang didistribusikan secara proporsional kepada anggota bukan sekadar ritual eskatologis, melainkan instrumen untuk memupuk ketenangan batin dan disiplin moral. Sementara itu, Syarikat Kematian berfungsi sebagai institusi sosial yang memitigasi beban ekonomi keluarga dhuafa melalui iuran swadaya. Penelitian berkontribusi teoretis terhadap sosiologi Islam dengan menawarkan model bagaimana institusi masjid dapat bertransformasi menjadi modal sosial (social capital) yang strategis, sekaligus menegaskan bahwa kontekstualisasi nilai-nilai Islam ke dalam budaya lokal Banjar tidak mereduksi esensi ajaran agama, melainkan memperkuat relevansi dan kontinuitasnya dalam menghadapi dinamika sosial kontemporer. Melalui sintesis antara pengabdian ritual dan tanggung jawab kolektif, Majelis Al-Ma’sum berhasil memperkokoh solidaritas (ukhuwah) dan resiliensi komunitas dalam bingkai tradisi yang hidup.
THE HERMENEUTICAL STRATEGY AND PRIBUMISASI OF HADITH IN THE JAVANESE SYARAH OF MISBAH AL-ANAM FI TARJAMAH BULUGH AL-MARAM BY A. SUBKI MASYHADI
This research analyzes the methodology of hadith commentary in the book Miṣbāḥ al-Anām fī Tarjamah Bulūgh al-Marām by A. Subki Masyhadi, a prolific scholar from Pekalongan. Utilizing a descriptive-qualitative method with content analysis techniques, this study reveals Masyhadi’s hermeneutical strategies in bridging authoritative classical texts with the socio-cultural realities of Javanese society. The findings indicate the use of a combined ijmālī (global) and muqārin (comparative) method, integrated through three primary approaches: textual, contextual, and intertextual. Masyhadi maintains the orthodoxy of the pesantren tradition by referencing the Qur'an, Shafi'i jurisprudential literature, and linguistic authorities such as al-Nihāyah and Subul al-Salām. The originality of Masyhadi’s work lies in its massive effort toward the "indigenization" (pribumisasi) of hadith. The use of the Arabic-Pegon script is not merely a technical choice but serves as an epistemological bridge for non-Arabic speaking communities. The localization of prophetic teachings is carried out creatively through the inclusion of regional nuances, such as utilizing the Rupiah currency in legal transactions, employing local foodstuffs (tape and beras jowo) as jurisprudential analogies, and validating rebana art as a cultural identity. This research contributes to the mapping of Islamic intellectual history in the Nusantara, demonstrating that vernacular hadith commentaries are vital instruments for maintaining religious continuity while serving as a form of creative adaptation in responding to Indonesia's local identity and realities. [Penelitian ini menganalisis metodologi syarah hadis dalam kitab Miṣbāḥ al-Anām fī Tarjamah Bulūgh al-Marām karya A. Subki Masyhadi, seorang ulama produktif asal Pekalongan. Menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis), studi ini mengungkap strategi hermeneutika Masyhadi dalam menjembatani teks otoritatif klasik dengan realitas sosiokultural masyarakat Jawa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan kombinasi metode ijmālī (global) dan muqārin (komparatif) yang diintegrasikan melalui tiga pendekatan utama: tekstual, kontekstual, dan intertekstual. Masyhadi mempertahankan ortodoksi tradisi pesantren dengan merujuk pada Al-Qur'an, literatur yurisprudensi Syafi'i, serta otoritas linguistik seperti al-Nihāyah dan Subul al-Salām. Orisinalitas karya Masyhadi terletak pada upaya pribumisasi hadis yang masif. Penggunaan aksara Arab-Pegon bukan sekadar pilihan teknis, melainkan jembatan epistemologis bagi masyarakat non-Arab. Lokalisasi ajaran kenabian dilakukan secara kreatif melalui penyertaan nuansa regional, seperti penggunaan satuan mata uang Rupiah dalam transaksi hukum, pemanfaatan bahan pangan lokal (tape dan beras jowo) sebagai analogi fikih, hingga validasi seni rebana sebagai identitas kultural. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemetaan sejarah intelektual Islam di Nusantara, menunjukkan bahwa syarah hadis vernakular merupakan instrumen vital dalam menjaga kontinuitas keagamaan sekaligus bentuk adaptasi kreatif Islam dalam merespons identitas dan realitas lokal Indonesia.

Formation of Community in Strengthening National Character Based on Religious Moderation for Students in Kudus Regency. This study examines the empowerment strategy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Macanan Village through a participatory approach conducted by UIN Sunan Ample Surabaya Community Service Program students. Using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, this study aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs with a focus on strengthening legality, marketing digitalization, and product innovation. The findings indicate that MSMEs face various challenges, including limited access to business legality and low digital literacy. Programs such as registering MSME locations on Google Maps, creating a Business Identification Number (NIB), creating business labels, training on social media optimization, and product innovation have successfully increased business visibility. In addition, these interventions also strengthened social networks and built MSMEs' self-confidence. This study concludes that empowerment strategies based on local potential not only contribute to economic growth but also to positive social change in the community. Recommendations for program sustainability include continued efforts in mentoring and training, as well as the integration of digital technology
Implementasi Model SAVI untuk Mengembangkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa MTs Magetan
This study aims to analyze the application of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills in social studies at MTs Bani Ali Mursyad Magetan. This study is descriptive and qualitative with a case study approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the principal, vice principal, teachers, and student representatives, as well as observations of learning activities in the classroom. Secondary data were obtained from school documents such as lesson plans, student worksheets, and learning outcome scores. Data collection techniques included observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana through the stages of data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing with source triangulation and member check for validity. The results showed that the application of the SAVI model improved students' critical thinking skills, particularly in the intellectual aspect, which trained their ability to analyze, evaluate, and conclude logically through discussions and case studies. However, the auditory aspect is still less than optimal due to limitations in media and internet networks. In addition, there are several supporting and inhibiting aspects of SAVI for critical thinking skills. Nevertheless, overall, the implications of the SAVI model are effective in creating interactive learning that supports the development of students' critical thinking skills in madrasahs
THE USE OF HUMAN CHIP IMPLANTS FROM THE HADITH PERSPECTIVE
The advancement of chip implant technology in humans has introduced profound transformations across multiple sectors, particularly in healthcare, security, and digital finance. These microelectronic devices, embedded within the human body, serve various functions ranging from medical monitoring and identification to real-time control of digital systems. In medical contexts, chip implants have demonstrated potential in managing chronic illnesses and streamlining access to patient health records. However, their integration into human life also provokes ethical and theological debates, especially within Islamic discourse. This study explores the Islamic ethical framework—focusing on the hadith of Prophet Muhammad Pbuh. —in evaluating the permissibility of chip implants. Employing a qualitative literature review, this research analyzes classical hadith texts alongside contemporary Islamic scholarship, fatwas, and bioethical debates. The study finds that while chip implants are not directly addressed in hadith, foundational Islamic legal principles such as lā ḍarar wa lāḍirār (no harm and no reciprocating harm), ḥifẓ al-nafs (protection of life), and privacy preservation provide normative guidelines. From this perspective, chip implants for urgent medical purposes are conditionally permissible, whereas their use for luxury, surveillance, or non-essential purposes may contravene Islamic ethical standards. This research contributes to contemporary Islamic bioethics by offering a hadith-based framework for navigating emerging biomedical technologies.[Kemajuan teknologi implan chip pada manusia telah membawa perubahan besar di berbagai bidang, khususnya dalam layanan kesehatan, keamanan, dan transaksi keuangan digital. Perangkat mikroelektronik ini, yang ditanamkan ke dalam tubuh manusia, memiliki berbagai fungsi mulai dari pemantauan medis dan identifikasi hingga pengendalian sistem digital secara real-time. Dalam konteks medis, implan chip menunjukkan potensi dalam menangani penyakit kronis serta mempermudah akses cepat terhadap data kesehatan pasien. Namun, integrasi teknologi ini dalam kehidupan manusia juga menimbulkan perdebatan etis dan teologis, terutama dalam wacana Islam. Studi ini mengkaji kerangka etika Islam—dengan fokus pada hadis Nabi Muhammad Saw. —dalam menilai kebolehan penggunaan implan chip. Dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis teks-teks hadis klasik bersama literatur keislaman kontemporer, fatwa, dan perdebatan bioetika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun implan chip tidak secara eksplisit dibahas dalam hadis, prinsip-prinsip dasar hukum Islam seperti lā ḍarar wa lāḍirār (tidak boleh membahayakan diri sendiri maupun orang lain), ḥifẓ al-nafs (perlindungan jiwa), dan perlindungan privasi memberikan pedoman normatif. Dari sudut pandang ini, penggunaan implan chip untuk keperluan medis yang mendesak dapat dibolehkan secara syar’i, sedangkan penggunaannya untuk tujuan non-medis, kemewahan, atau yang berpotensi melanggar privasi dan membahayakan, dinilai bertentangan dengan standar etika Islam. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada wacana bioetika Islam kontemporer dengan menawarkan kerangka etis berbasis hadis untuk menyikapi kemajuan teknologi biomedis.
