    No full text
The limited literature on Sharia accounting practicums in Indonesia that align with Sharia financial accounting standards is a phenomenon of significant concern. The Sharia Accounting Practicum course is a compulsory course for students in the Sharia Accounting Study Program at UIN Sunan Kudus and several other religious universities within the Ministry of Religion. This study aims to develop a learning product in the form of Sharia Accounting Practicum teaching materials using the research and development (R&D) method. The subjects of this study were students in the Sharia Accounting Study Program at UIN Sunan Kudus who had taken the Sharia Accounting Practicum Course. Material experts and media experts among the faculty served as validators to assess the feasibility of the teaching materials. This study used a questionnaire to collect data. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data through data presentation and verification. The validity and effectiveness analysis of the respondents as a whole yielded a result of 88.3%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the teaching materials are highly feasible for use in the learning process

AbstractThis study aims to evaluate the implementation of teacher performance assessment in improving the quality of education in community-based madrasah ibtidaiyah. A descriptive qualitative approach was used through a case study at MI NU 09 Kauman Boja Kendal. The informants consisted of 16 teachers and 1 madrasah head who were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed using thematic techniques. The results of the study show that the implementation of teacher performance assessment is still administrative, unsustainable, and has less impact on improving the quality of learning. Senior teachers with civil servant status and a service period of more than 15 years show a low level of participation in the evaluation process due to the lack of follow-up and professional strengthening. Other inhibiting factors include low digital literacy, lack of learning innovation, and an organizational culture that is less open to feedback. This study recommends strengthening reflective supervision and the formation of professional learning communities based on the principles of total quality management as a strategy for sustainable teacher performance improvement.

Ethical Leadership in the Sharia Perspective: The Role of Foreign CEOs and Female CEOs in the Profitability of Mining Companies

    No full text
This study examines whether the presence of foreign CEOs and female CEOs influences the profitability of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Prior research on CEO characteristics has demonstrated mixed results, particularly in emerging markets. However, limited studies integrate the analysis of CEO characteristics with Islamic business ethics, creating a research gap this study seeks to address. Using panel data from 68 mining companies over the period 2020–2024 (340 observations), this study employs a common effect model to analyze the effect of foreign CEOs, female CEOs, and leverage on profitability. The results indicate that foreign CEOs positively and significantly affect company profitability, while female CEOs do not exhibit a significant impact. This study contributes to the Islamic economics literature by discussing how leadership characteristics align with principles of amanah, professionalism, fairness, and organizational accountability in the mining sector. The implications suggest that leadership selection aligned with Islamic ethical principles may enhance organizational value and sustainability

Limited access to capital remains a structural problem for poor farmers. This study aims to explore the potential implementation of the Salam contract in a sharia contract farming scheme as a solution to limited access to capital for poor farmers and provide recommendations for its implementation based on comprehensive data. The data used are secondary data from available literature and the 2024 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the population working in the agricultural and plantation sectors reached 34.89 million people. There are 1.85 million poor farmers (9.26 percent) in the rice and secondary crops farming sector, 340.37 thousand poor farmers (7.29 percent) in the horticulture sector, and 601.68 thousand poor farmers (5.88 percent) in the plantation sector. More than 50 percent of farmers are aspiring middle-class residents who are highly vulnerable to falling into the vulnerable and poor classes. In terms of access to capital, only 4.71 percent of farmers have People's Business Credit (KUR). Access to other financial institutions, such as Rural Credit Banks (BPR), cooperatives, or alternative financing sources such as Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes), does not reach 1 percent. From the demand side, the largest consumption is rice, reaching nearly 22 million tons with a value of IDR 303.56 trillion, followed by kale (1.05 million tons), spinach (882.4 thousand tons), tomatoes (586.32 thousand tons), and shallots (8 million tons). The sharia contract farming model based on the salam contract can strengthen the bargaining power of poor farmers, who are still weak. Implementation can be carried out through two pilot project approaches: in areas with the highest number of poor farmers or for food commodities with high demand and sales valu

Integration of Prasiaga Values in The Independent Curriculum to Foster Early Childhood Independence

    No full text
This study examines the integration of Prasiaga values within the Independent Curriculum and their contribution to the development of early childhood independence. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved two A-accredited early childhood education (ECE) institutions that had implemented Prasiaga-based activities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by source triangulation. The findings reveal that the two institutions integrate Prasiaga values through different approaches. The first ECE implements a creative model based on digital exploration, while the second adopts a structured habituation approach. Both approaches contribute to children’s independence, particularly in initiative, responsibility, decision-making, and readiness to engage in daily tasks. Nevertheless, challenges arise from variations in children’s abilities and teachers’ limitations in designing value-based activities. These findings contribute theoretically to the discourse on character education within the Independent Curriculum and offer practical implications for PAUD institutions in strengthening the systematic integration of Prasiaga values

    No full text
This study aims to analyze the relationship between college readiness and social support on the adjustment of new students at six PTKIN in the Central Java region. The main focus is to identify the contribution of each variable to the academic, social, and emotional adaptation of first-year students, and to formulate strategic recommendations for institutions in mentoring new students. The method used is a correlational quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, involving 200 respondents proportionally selected from six PTKIN (Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions). Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on AMOS 26. The research results indicate that college readiness has a significant influence on student adjustment with a loading factor value of 0.62, while social support shows an influence of 0.58. Both variables simultaneously explain 47% of the variance in students' self-adjustment (R² = 0.47). The measurement model shows a good fit with GFI = 0.94, CFI = 0.96, and RMSEA = 0.045. The implication of this finding is the need for a holistic and data-driven strengthening of the new student mentoring program. It is recommended that PTKIN develop college readiness assessments and social support as a basis for intervention, and establish a campus adaptation guidance unit that integrates academic, spiritual, and social approaches contextually

The Behavior of Traders in Islamic Business Ethics Towards Walisongo Religious Tourism in Indonesia

    No full text
One of the teachings of Islam in buying and selling or trading is Islamic business ethics. Simply put, ethics in business is defined as the study of what is good or bad, right or wrong in conducting business activities. Islamic business ethics refers to the guidelines or morals in conducting business activities in accordance with Islamic values, so that these business activities are good and right. Around the Walisongo cemetery complex, there are many vendors selling their goods, including food and beverages, with the majority selling souvenirs specific to this religious tourist site. The research method used in this study employs field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection is conducted through observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis involves data reduction, data display, and subsequent data verification. The findings of this study conclude that the behavior of religious tourism vendors at Walisongo has not yet implemented Islamic business ethics in practice. Many vendors have violated Islamic business ethics, such as lying or being dishonest, making false oaths, acting fraudulently, imposing their will, and prioritizing business over performing religious duties. This is attributed to low educational levels and a lack of information regarding the teachings of ethical conduct in business
