Integrated Islamic Philanthropy for Equitable Healthcare Access: A Case Study of Muhammadiyah Hospital
This study examines the integration of Islamic philanthropy within hospital settings, with a particular focus on Muhammadiyah Hospital in Ponorogo, Indonesia, to strengthen access to affordable healthcare for marginalized communities. The research is motivated by the limited scholarly attention to the incorporation of ZISWAF and corporate social responsibility (CSR) mechanisms in healthcare service practices, which represents a significant gap in contemporary Islamic philanthropy literature. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through interviews with philanthropic unit managers, hospital administrators, and beneficiaries of philanthropic programs. The findings reveal that Islamic philanthropy is integrated through a synergistic governance model that optimizes ZISWAF funds. Zakat and infaq are utilized to cover essential healthcare costs, with infaq serving as a complementary source when zakat eligibility criteria do not apply. Meanwhile, waqf contributes to the procurement of fixed assets, including buildings and patient facilities. The integrated philanthropic unit within the hospital functions as a consolidating entity for managing ZISWAF funds. This integration substantially enhances healthcare accessibility for underserved populations. The study contributes to the literature by conceptualizing an Islamic philanthropic integration model for hospital contexts and proposing the inclusion of CSR as an additional funding stream supporting healthcare-based philanthropic initiatives

Halal Destinations Brand Equity: Impacts on Tourist Motivation and Travel Revisit Intention in Indonesia
The purpose of this study is to determine how the brand equity of Indonesia's ten halal destinations affects tourists' motivation and intention to revisit. Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Islamic marketing framework, this study integrates both behavioral and spiritual dimensions to explain tourist decision-making in halal destinations. The research employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.2.9 as the analytical tool. Data were collected from 413 valid responses of domestic tourists from Generations X and Y (aged 27–56) who had visited at least one of Indonesia’s halal destinations in the last five years. Purposive sampling was used to ensure respondents met the halal travel criteria. The results revealed that perceived quality, value, and loyalty of halal destinations positively and significantly affect halal destination brand equity, while awareness and image have insignificant effects. Furthermore, halal destination brand equity significantly influences tourist motivation and intention to revisit, confirming its mediating role between destination attributes and behavioral outcomes. The novelty of this research lies in integrating Islamic values, such as ihsan (service excellence) and tayyib (goodness), into the halal destination brand equity framework, thereby offering a holistic understanding of spiritual–behavioral alignment. The findings provide theoretical and managerial implications for strengthening Indonesia’s position as a leading global halal tourism destination

Museum-Based Cultural Education as a Vehicle for Community Empowerment and Cultural Literacy in Indonesia
This study explores how museum-based cultural education serves as a vehicle for community empowerment and cultural literacy by analyzing the case of Museum Galeri Bahari Banuraja (Mugaba) in West Bandung, Indonesia. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal that while Mugaba possesses rich maritime and Sundanese heritage collections, its educational program remains passive, with minimal interactive or participatory learning strategies. Limited use of local language, absence of storytelling practices, and weak digital outreach constrain its impact on youth engagement and cultural literacy development. However, the museum has stimulated local tourism and economic interest, suggesting latent potential for community revitalization. To address these challenges, the study recommends incorporating participatory storytelling, training guides in experiential pedagogy, curating intergenerational workshops, enhancing digital platforms, and establishing partnerships with local schools and artists. These strategies aim to reposition rural museums as inclusive, culturally grounded learning hubs. The study contributes to rethinking rural cultural institutions as dynamic platforms for education, identity formation, and sustainable development
Penguatan Keterampilan Berkomunikasi Sosial Siswa dalam Membangun Interaksi Positif di SMAN 1 Sindangwangi Kabupaten Majalengka
This study aims to explore the description, factors, and efforts made by teachers to strengthen the social communication skills of class XII students of SMAN 1 Sindangwangi, Majalengka Regency. The problem found is the decline in communication skills in students caused by the influence of online game, self-confidence, and the social environment at school. The findings of this study reveal the meaning that students' social communication skills in high school are not only in techniques but are firmly embedded in local Sundanese cultural values, the spirit of collectivity and aspects of religiosity shown through a series of efforts that have been made by teachers, namely implementing varied learning methods including group discussions, presentations, and questions and answers. Teachers also often use PBL and Inquiry Learning models. Teachers have integrated 21st-century skills into learning as an effort to foster intersubjectivity. Prominent factors influencing the social communication skills of 12th-grade students are self-confidence, emotional intelligence, and technology
The Impact of FinTech and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Adoption on the Stability and Profitability of Islamic Banking: A Systematic Literature Review
This study aims to systematically synthesize the latest literature (2019–2025) on the impact of the adoption of Financial Technology (FinTech) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the stability and profitability of Islamic banking, in response to a significant wave of digital disruption. Through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the results of bibliometric mapping show a high surge in publication volume, dominated by core authors from dual banking system regions such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and MENA, confirming the urgency of this topic. A synthesis of the findings shows that the adoption of FinTech and AI has a positive correlation with increased systemic stability benefits for Islamic banks, a phenomenon associated with the unique role of their strong governance and asset-based financing structures. However, the research agenda has shifted thematically from traditional micro-operational issues (efficiency, liquidity) to more strategic and systemic clusters of innovation. This innovation cluster focuses on macroeconomic resilience (mitigating external risks such as global economic policy uncertainty) and the challenges of ethical value model innovation (including new digital compliance costs and the need for Sharia-compliant integration). In conclusion, Shariah banking is faced with a mandate to achieve three-dimensional resilience: micro-operational, digital-ethical, and macro-systemic. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive and integrated literature map as a strategic guide for regulators and practitioners
Konstruksi Hukum Ekonomi Syariah Menurut M. Quraish Shihab
This article provocatively examines the methodological construction of M. Quraish Shihab’s thought in reconstructing Islamic economic law in Indonesia through the framework of Imre Lakatos’s scientific research programme (SRP). Using qualitative research and content analysis, it explores Shihab’s thought, which situates maqāṣid al-sharī’ah, social justice, and rationality as its main epistemological pillars. In contrast to the legalistic approach that often constrains the discourse of fiqh, Shihab offers a paradigm of Islamic economic law that is adaptive, ethical, and contextual, making it more responsive to contemporary social, economic, and political transformations in Indonesia. From the perspective of SRP, Shihab’s thought can be read as a research programme with a normative hard core centered on maqāṣid and a methodological protective belt flexible enough to respond to global challenges. This article demonstrates that such a paradigm is not merely a reinterpretation of the law, but a serious effort to build a theoretical foundation that resists the stagnation of classical uṣūl al-fiqh. Thus, Shihab’s ideas open the way for Islamic economic law in Indonesia to emerge as more progressive, humanistic, and relevant amid the currents of modern globalization
