Development of biodiversity subject-specific pedagogy (SSP) containing local potential and bio-economy to strengthen pancasila student profiles
The aims of this study was to develop biodiversity learning device as Subject-Specific Padagogy (SSP) containing local potential to strengthen Pancasila Student Profile. The researchers used Research and Development with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) design. The instruments used were interview sheets, validation questionnaires for curriculum experts, content experts and media experts to determine the validity of the product, as well as questionnaires for biology teachers and pre-service biology teachers as users to determine the suitability of the product with 4 Likert scales. The scores obtained were analyzed descriptively to determine the average value of product validity and feasibility. The research results show that the average validity value for the curriculum relevance aspect is 3.85, the content aspect is 3.61, and the media aspect is 3.70, with valid criteria. The results of trial assessment of biology teachers and pre-service biology teachers show that the criteria are suitable for use with average scores of 3.73 and 3.77. Other findings revealed that biodiversity SSP were developed more specifically to strengthen Pancasila Student Profiles, namely a project module with a local wisdom theme which focused on projects to preserve traditional food and an entrepreneurship theme which focused on the project of processing Muria coffee skin waste into more efficient products and selling value, as a form of optimizing local potential and developing the community's bioeconomy. The activities in this project module are seen as potential in strengthen Pancasila Student Profiles
Experiential learning integrated peer instruction: An innovative learning model to improve students’ science inquiry skills
To learn about nature and phenomena, science inquiry skills require a mix of science content knowledge, science process skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Acquiring these skills is typically a goal in fundamental science education because they are required for conducting scientific research. The principal objective of this study was to look for ways in which the use of an experiential learning model combined with peer education can improve students’ science inquiry skills. This intervention study involved 30 eighth grade students in a public Junior High School in Surabaya city. The instruments used were science inquiry skills test and student response questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using normalized change (<c>), scatterplot visualization, and percentage of response questionnaire. All the instruments used in this study had high internal consistency, as indicated by the Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega values that were above the threshold of 0.70. This study revealed that the student who have low pretest score, could reach 4c region, this illustrates that the experiential learning model integrated with peer instruction intervention can and has the potential to have a positive impact on students’ science inquiry skills. It can also show that the experiential learning model integrated with peer instruction can provide student learning satisfaction, so that it can have a positive impact on science inquiry skills
Integrating Multicultural Values in Surah Al-Hujurat Verse 13: An Analysis of Ibn Kathir's Exegesis and Its Relevance to Contemporary Society
In the context of globalization, contemporary society encounters significant obstacles in fostering unity within variety, frequently leading to identity conflicts stemming from the failure of individuals or groups to acknowledge and value differences. This study aims to analyze the concept of multicultural values in Al-Hujurat verse 13 through Ibn Kathir's Tafsir. The employed methodology is a literature review utilizing a content analysis approach. This study's findings indicate that, according to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, the passage suggests that multiculturalism promotes appreciation for diversity, with piety serving as the primary criterion for an individual's nobility, rather than ethnic or racial identity. Furthermore, Islamic teachings advocate for the establishment of a harmonious existence within variety and denounce all types of prejudice based on ethnic or cultural backgrounds. Berangkat dari kompleksnya interaksi antarbudaya di era globalisasi, masyarakat modern menghadapi tantangan besar dalam membangun kesatuan di tengah keberagaman, sering kali terjadi konflik identitas akibat ketidakmampuan individu atau kelompok untuk menerima dan menghargai perbedaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji konsep nilai multikultural yang terkandung dalam surah Al-Hujurat ayat 13 melalui analisis Tafsir Ibnu Katsir. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa menurut Tafsir Ibnu Katsir, Ayat tersebut menyiratkan bahwa multikulturalisme mengajarkan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, di mana takwa dijadikan sebagai ukuran utama kemuliaan seseorang, bukan berdasarkan identitas etnis atau ras. Selain itu, ajaran Islam mendukung terciptanya kehidupan yang harmonis di tengah keragaman, serta menolak segala bentuk diskriminasi yang didasarkan pada latar belakang etnis atau budaya
CONTEXTUALIZATION OF HADITH REGARDING THE PROHIBITION OF ANNOUNCING LOSS IN THE MOSQUE (A Study of the Meaning of Hadith)
As an identity of the Islamic community, the mosque holds a very important role and function. The mosque does not only focus on activities related to the afterlife but integrates both spiritual (ukhrawi) and worldly (duniawi) activities. Regarding the function of the mosque, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prohibited the announcement of lost items in the mosque because it was not built for such a purpose. However, this prohibition contrasts with the mosque’s function not only as a place of worship but also as a medium to address social issues within the community. Therefore, this study aims to understand the hadith related to this prohibition by examining its contextualization in the study of Ma’anil Hadith. This research is a library study using qualitative methods, conducted by collecting and analyzing data relevant to the issue being investigated. The results of this study are: First, the hadith prohibiting the announcement of lost items in the mosque signifies that the mosque is a sacred place, with a peaceful and calm atmosphere, where worship activities such as prayer are performed. Second, when contextualized in the present day, there are many ways to search for lost items in the mosque, such as reporting the loss to the mosque administrators, asking the congregation at the mosque doors, looking in the lost and found area outside the mosque, and posting announcements about lost items on the information board outside the mosque. [Sebagai identitas komunitas Islam, masjid memegang peran dan fungsi yang sangat penting. Masjid tidak hanya fokus pada kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan akhirat tetapi juga mengintegrasikan kegiatan spiritual (ukhrawi) dan duniawi (duniawi). Mengenai fungsi masjid, Nabi Muhammad melarang pengumuman barang yang hilang di masjid karena masjid tidak dibangun untuk tujuan tersebut. Namun, larangan ini bertentangan dengan fungsi masjid yang tidak hanya sebagai tempat ibadah tetapi juga sebagai media untuk menangani masalah sosial dalam komunitas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami hadis yang terkait dengan larangan ini dengan menelaah kontekstualisasinya dalam studi Ma’anil Hadith. Penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka yang menggunakan metode kualitatif, dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data yang relevan dengan isu yang sedang diselidiki. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, hadis yang melarang pengumuman barang hilang di masjid menandakan bahwa masjid adalah tempat yang suci, dengan suasana yang damai dan tenang, tempat di mana kegiatan ibadah seperti salat dilakukan. Kedua, ketika dikontekstualisasikan pada masa sekarang, ada banyak cara untuk mencari barang yang hilang di masjid, seperti melaporkan kehilangan kepada pengelola masjid, bertanya kepada jamaah di pintu masjid, mencari di area barang hilang di luar masjid, dan memposting pengumuman tentang barang hilang di papan informasi di luar masjid]

The Effect of Assertiveness Training on Improving Psychological Well-Being. Research examines the effect of assertive training to improve psychological well-being at the Al Quran Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember Islamic boarding school. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using assertiveness training to improve psychological well-being. The research approach uses quantitative methods with a pre-experimental design research method type one group pretest-posttest. The population is 26 students of PPA Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember, with a sample of 9 students. The data collection method used was the Wilcoxon Test. The results of the research show that there is an influence of assertive training to improve psychological well-being at PPA Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember. Assertive training is a training method that is easy for individuals to do. This training emphasizes increasing an individual's ability to communicate socially and avoiding deviant behaviour.Keywords: Assertiveness Training, Psychological Well-Being, Studen
Exploring students’ beliefs about physics and learning physics in their first year of high school: a comparative study
Understanding students' perceptions and beliefs about physics and physics learning is crucial for effective pedagogy. This study explores the alignment between students' perceptions of physics and expert viewpoints across various indicators. The study employed a non-experimental quantitative approach, with data collected using The Colorado Learning Attitudes about Science Survey (CLASS) to assess students' attitudes and beliefs. A total sampling technique was applied, involving 120 Grade X high school students as participants. The results show that the overall percentage of questions where a student agrees with the expert response (percent favorable score) is 42.824%, with a standard deviation of 11.187%. Among the categories analyzed, the highest scores are observed in problem-solving confidence and personal interest in physics, with agreement levels of 61.458% and 58.797%, respectively. However, the most critical issues are found in conceptual connection and the ability to apply physics understanding, where students score significantly lower. Gender-based comparisons reveal nuanced differences, underscoring the need for tailored instructional strategies. While efforts to enhance student confidence and interest are evident, challenges persist in fostering robust comprehension and practical application of physics concepts. Future research could expand on these findings with longitudinal designs and diverse cohorts to improve pedagogical practices in physics education
Metacognitive awareness, problem-based learning integrated science-environment-technology-society (SETS) toward creativity thinking
This research aims to describe students' metacognitive awareness and creative thinking abilities after implementing integrated science-environment-technology-society (SETS) problem-based learning. This research is a quasi-experiment using a non-equivalent control group design. Data was collected by distributing metacognitive awareness questionnaires and creative thinking ability tests. The research results show that the SETS integrated problem-based learning model has a significant effect on students' creative thinking abilities. Mapping of metacognitive awareness shows that students in the experimental class are at developed, high and excellent levels. Furthermore, analysis between metacognitive awareness and creative thinking ability descriptively shows that more than half of the students at the 'high' level consist of those in the medium and high creative thinking categories. Therefore, teachers are advised to actively identify problems around students and organize them systematically based on problem-based learning syntax in order to effectively achieve creative thinking skills and metacognitive awareness
Balanced Engagement: Kiai Ihsan Jampes’ Adaptive Zuhud Framework for Spiritual Transformation in the Digital Era
Digital advancement has intensified materialistic orientations among contemporary youth, creating tensions with ascetic values in Islamic thought. This study examines spiritual transformation through Kiai Ihsan Jampes' zuhud teachings among digital-generation Muslims in Kediri, Indonesia. Using phenomenological methodology, data were collected through textual analysis of Kiai Ihsan Jampes's works, particularly Siraj al-Thalibin, complemented by observational studies at Pesantren Al-Ihsan Jampes in Kediri and supplementary interviews with santris. The study reveals Kiai Ihsan Jampes's distinctive interpretation of zuhud as balanced engagement—maintaining worldly participation while detaching the heart from material dependency. This approach differs from classical ascetic withdrawal by advocating active social engagement guided by spiritual principles. The findings demonstrate that zuhud internalization enables spiritual resilience against digital materialism through practical frameworks for ethical consumption. A Bibliometric Analysis of Deep Learning Integration Into STEAM Learning in Indonesia: Trends And Challenges
This study aims to explore the integration of deep learning in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning in Indonesia, focusing on research trends, challenges, and opportunities. The research method used was bibliometric analysis, which allows researchers to analyze publication trends, key topics, and collaboration patterns in the scientific literature related to deep learning and STEAM. Data were collected from Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with the help of Publish or Perish software and VOSviewer for data visualization. The results of the analysis showed that research related to deep learning in STEAM education in Indonesia is still limited, despite increasing interest from 2021 to 2025. The main challenges include limited technological infrastructure, lack of teacher training and resistance to changes in learning methodologies. However, there are great opportunities to improve the quality of education through STEAM integration, especially in developing 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. Bibliometric analysis also revealed that deep learning has strong linkages with various aspects of STEAM education, including project-based learning (PjBL) and critical thinking skills development. However, the implementation of deep learning in STEAM in Indonesia still faces barriers on a broader scale, such as limited access to technology and lack of collaboration between institutions. This research recommends improving technology infrastructure, continuous teacher training and developing policies that support the integration of technology in education
Bagaimana Dampak Financial Literacy, Financial Behaviour, dan Income Terhadap Investment Decision Pada Penduduk usia produktif di Kota Tasikmalaya?
Rendahnya tingkat literasi keuangan di Kota Tasikmalaya mencerminkan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat usia produktif akan pentingnya berinvestasi sejak dini untuk memperoleh keuntungan di masa depan. Banyak individu yang masih memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan keyakinan keuangan yang rendah, sehingga pengambilan keputusan investasinya kurang optimal. Selain itu, perilaku keuangan juga masih tergolong rendah akibat kurangnya kemampuan dalam mengendalikan gaya hidup, yang dipengaruhi oleh tingginya tingkat perilaku konsumtif. Meskipun Upah Minimum Kota (UMK) Tasikmalaya mengalami peningkatan, peningkatan pendapatan tidak selalu sejalan dengan kebiasaan menabung atau investor. Sebaliknya, peningkatan gaya hidup sering kali membuat masyarakat lebih cenderung membelanjakan pendapatannya daripada menyisihkannya untuk berinvestasi atau berinvestasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menyelidiki efek literasi keuangan, perilaku keuangan, dan penghasilan terhadap keputusan investasi. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menampilkan dampak besar pada keuangan finansial dan penghasilan terhadap keputusan investasi . Sedangkan perilaku keuangan tidak berdampak signifikan. Secara umum, 3 variabel ini berdampak besar terhadap keputusan investasi. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa 57,1% keputusan investasi dapat dipengaruhi oleh 3 variabel tersebut, sedangkan 42,9% ketergantungan yang mempengaruhinya dari variabel lain di luar penelitian ini
