Application Of Active Learning Strategies In Fostering Cognitive And Psychomotor Competence Of Grade V Students In Science Subjects At Elementary School
This study aims to examine the application of active learning strategies in improving the cognitive and psychomotor competencies of grade V students in science subjects at one of the elementary schools in Yogyakarta. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data collection technique was carried out through direct interviews with three informants, namely a school principal, a teacher, and a student. The research instruments included interview guidelines, voice recording devices, and field notes. The data analysis process was carried out interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The validity test of the data was carried out through source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the study showed that active learning strategies applied through group discussions, simple experiments, and simulations helped improve students' understanding of science concepts and their practical skills. In the cognitive aspect, it showed that students are able to better explain abstract concepts such as the water cycle and food chain. In the psychomotor aspect, the finding showed that students have improved ability to use simple measuring instruments, make observations, and record experimental results systematically. The findings also showed that learning becomes more interactive and fun, increasing students' enthusiasm for learning. Thus, the active learning strategy has proven to be effective in science learning at elementary school level, although it is necessary to adapt the method according to age characteristics and availability of infrastructure
Transformation of Primary Education: Curriculum Implementation to Improve The Quality Of Learning
The quality of elementary education in Indonesia remains uneven, with many schools struggling to implement innovative curricula due to limited resources, high administrative burdens, and insufficient teacher training. This study investigates how curriculum implementation influences learning quality in elementary schools and explores the role of teachers in overcoming barriers to innovation. Using a qualitative case study method, the research involved 60 participants from 20 elementary schools in Serang City, including classroom teachers, subject teachers, and principals. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings showed that most schools have begun implementing innovative methods such as project-based learning, thematic approaches, and technology integration. Teachers served as facilitators, innovators, and agents of change, although their effectiveness varied depending on institutional support and training. This study recommends enhanced infrastructure, reduced administrative loads, and continuous professional development to ensure successful curriculum transformation. The results offer insights for policymakers and educational institutions seeking to improve the learning outcomes in primary education
The Struggle for the Meaning of Islam in the Post-Truth Era: Critical Discourse Analysis of Narratives on the Hidayatullah.com Portal
The effectiveness of new media has transformed Islamic preaching into the digital space, creating a new landscape for Islamic discourse. This phenomenon occurs in the post-truth era, when emotions and subjective beliefs influence public opinion more than facts. Hidayatullah.com, a popular Islamic portal among Indonesian Muslims, actively produces Islamic narratives. However, the texts it publishes often reflect certain ideological interests and social positions. This study examines the relationship between power and ideology in Hidayatullah.com's representation of Islam. The study employs Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach, enriched with Foucault's readings. Data were obtained through a literature review of Islamic-themed texts in the portal's article section. The results show that Hidayatullah.com functions as a discursive agent that frames Islamic issues in a way that reinforces conservative ideology. The portal uses discourse to reinforce religious narratives and identities in line with its ideological orientation. This study contributes to a critical understanding of the formation of religious meaning and authority in the post-truth era
The Integration of Science and Spirituality: A Comparative Study of the Thought of Ismail Raji al-Faruqi and Seyyed Hossein Nasr
Scholarly discourse on contemporary Muslim scholars has developed rapidly, both emerging from Islamic sources and adopted from other sources. The ideas of science are interesting subjects to be studied further, especially themes related to science and spirituality which are seen as separate from each other.This article examines the integration of knowledge and spirituality through a comparative analysis of the ideas of Ismail Raji al-Faruqi and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The study aims to explain how both scholars understand the relationship between knowledge and spiritual values, as well as to identify their contributions to contemporary discourses on the integration of knowledge. This research employs a qualitative, library-based approach by collecting data from the primary works of both thinkers and relevant secondary academic literature, which are then analyzed using descriptive-comparative and interpretative methods. The findings show that al-Faruqi emphasizes the Islamization of knowledge as an epistemological framework rooted in the principle of tawhid, whereas Nasr highlights the importance of reviving sacred knowledge and metaphysical foundations as a response to the epistemic crisis of modernity. Both scholars reject the secular separation between knowledge and spirituality, yet they differ in methodological orientation: al-Faruqi focuses on epistemological reconstruction, while Nasr stresses the restoration of spiritual and metaphysical dimensions. The contribution of this research lies in its analytical and systematic comparative mapping of the two thinkers’ approaches to integrating knowledge and spirituality within the context of modern intellectual challenges
Pelatihan Perangkat Rukyah di Pondok Pesantren Fadhlul Wahid Ngangkruk Grobogan Sebagai Penunjang Efektivitas Pelaksanaan Pengamatan Hilal
Rukyah Equipment Training at the Fadhlul Wahid Ngangkruk Grobogan Islamic Boarding School to Support the Effectiveness of Hilal Observation Implementation. This Community Service activity aims to improve the capacity of students and ustadz of the Fadhlul Wahid Ngangkruk Grobogan Islamic Boarding School in mastering rukyah devices to support the effectiveness of hilal observations. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a practice-based training approach, so that participants not only received theory but also actively participated in problem identification, solution formulation, and field practice. The results of the activity showed significant achievements, where the level of understanding of participants reached 90% in the use of cameras and rukyah devices, and 85% in mastery of theoretical material, although there were still limitations in certain instruments. The implication of this activity is the need for continuous training and intensive mentoring to optimize instrument mastery. The suggestion is that this practice-based training model can be adopted by other Islamic boarding schools as a strategy to strengthen the role of Islamic boarding schools in the development of astronomy and determining the beginning of the Hijri month
Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di SMP Negeri 2 Gebog
The Merdeka Curriculum is a form of continuation and simplification of the 2013 Curriculum, which is the government's breakthrough as an effort to improve the condition of Indonesian education. SMP Negeri 2 Gebog faces challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, especially in social studies learning. Even though various forms of socialization and training have been provided, there are still teachers who do not fully understand the stages of curriculum implementation, which include Diagnostic Assessment, Learning Planning, and Learning Implementation. In addition, the challenges of adapting to curriculum changes, both on the part of teachers and students, are factors that affect the effectiveness of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The purpose of this study is to explain the curriculum implementation stage in social studies learning, including Diagnostic Assessment, Learning Planning, and Learning Implementation. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using qualitative data whose data sources are obtained from seventh grade social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Gebog. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study explain overall that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in Social Studies Learning at SMP Negeri 2 Gebog is in accordance with the reference stages of learning implementation in Merdeka Curriculum, including Diagnostic Assessment, Learning Planning, and Learning Implementation
Membangun Hubungan Positif antara Guru dan Anak di KB-TK se-Kecamatan Wonosari, Klaten
Building Positive Relationships between Teachers and Children in Kindergartens in Wonosari District, Klaten. A positive relationship between teachers and children is an important foundation in early childhood education that influences social-emotional and academic development. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of KB-TK teachers in Wonosari District, Klaten in building positive relationships with children. The community service method consists of several stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Participants involved used a stratified random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The results of the interview and observation analysis showed the enthusiasm and interest of the participants, while the questionnaire results showed a significant increase in understanding before (pre-test) and after (post-test) (90% of participants experienced an increase in scores). The evaluation results also showed an increase in teacher readiness in implementing two-way communication strategies, providing positive affirmations, and an individual approach that is responsive to children's needs. This activity successfully strengthened teachers' relational capacity and is expected to create a conducive learning environment for the holistic development of early childhood in Wonosari District, Klaten
Beban Kerja Fisiologis pada Tenaga Perpustakaan: Kajian terhadap Kesehatan dan Produktivitas
Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi merupakan pusat informasi yang mendukung aktivitas akademik dan penelitian. Pustakawan memiliki pola kerja yang unik, yaitu kombinasi aktivitas statis seperti penggunaan komputer dalam durasi lama dan aktivitas dinamis seperti penataan koleksi. Pola tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan beban kerja fisiologis yang memengaruhi kesehatan dan produktivitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan beban kerja fisiologis pustakawan, mengidentifikasi keluhan kesehatan, serta menganalisis hubungannya dengan produktivitas kerja. Penelitian menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pendekatan ergonomi. Pengukuran fisiologis dilakukan secara objektif melalui denyut jantung, heart rate reserve (HRR%), cardiovascular load (%CVL), dan konsumsi oksigen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja fisiologis pustakawan berada pada kategori ringan hingga sedang. Konsumsi energi rata-rata sebesar 3,01 Kkal/menit dan konsumsi oksigen rata-rata 0,55 liter/menit, keduanya tergolong ringan. Keluhan kesehatan yang dominan adalah kelelahan otot, nyeri punggung, dan ketegangan mata akibat aktivitas statis berkepanjangan. Analisis lebih lanjut menunjukkan adanya kaitan antara peningkatan beban kerja fisiologis dengan penurunan produktivitas, khususnya pada pustakawan dengan jam kerja lebih lama. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan prinsip ergonomi melalui rotasi tugas, jeda istirahat yang cukup, serta penyediaan fasilitas kerja yang sesuai. Upaya ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesehatan kerja sekaligus produktivitas pustakawa
Kepemimpinan Walikota Independen dalam Perspektif Kaidah Tasharruf Al- ‘Imam ‘Ala Al-Ra’iyah Manuthun Bi Al-Mashlahah
Tulisan ini mencoba memotret sebuah fenomena kepemimpinan lokal dari seorang Walikota-Wakil Walikota yang menang pilkada melalui jalur independen dan upaya sungguh untuk mengimplementasikan kaidah “tasharruf al-imam ‘ala al-ra’iyah manuthun bi al-maslahah” (tindakan seorang penguasa atas rakyatnya harus berorientasi pada kemaslahatan). Pembahasan ini dipandang penting dan menarik mengingat kemenangan Wahdi-Qomaru merupakan sebuah anomali proses politik di Metro. Permasalahan utama kajian ini adalah sejauhmana upaya yang dilakukan Wahdi-Qomaru untuk menerapkan praktik nyata dari kaidah diatas dengan mengacu pada empat indikator utama yaitu menolak maju kontestasi melalui jalur partai, tetap fokus pada agenda padat maslahat walaupun dianggap tidak populis dan minim citra politik, enggan menjadi pengurus partai setelah menjabat dan mewujudkan janji kampanye dengan mengukir prestasi kerja. Penelitian ini berupa riset kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif tematik dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumentatif. Data diolah dan dianalisis secara mendalam untuk menghasilkan temuan sealigus kebaharuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian mendapati bahwa Wahdi-Qomaru dinilai berhasil membuat role model praktik politik yang unik dan berkesan dengan model pendekatan kemandirian terutama di jalur komunikasi politik. Kamandirian politik Wahdi-Qomaru berdampak baik pada corak kepemimpinan mereka berdua yang tetap harmonis dan komunikatif terhadap para elit partai dan mitra pemerintah daerah sekaligus berhasil mengukir banyak prestasi dan capaian terutama pada tata kelola pemerintahan
Al Washliyah Ethical Democracy: Patterns, Challenges, and Prospects for Implementation
Al Washliyah, as an Islamic civil society, has a perspective on an ethical democracy model that utilizes the maqasid of sharia as a medium for ethical democracy. This study will examine Al Washliyah in the context of an ethical democracy model that utilizes the maqasid of sharia as a medium for ethical democracy. Is there a synthesis of ideas for an Islamic-based ethical democracy model that can be developed through the interpretation of Islamic values? How is Al Washliyah's ethical democracy implemented? This study uses a qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documents. Data were analyzed using triangulation. The theories used are democracy, civil society, and the maqasid of sharia. This study shows that Al Washliyah provides a synthesis of ideas regarding an Islamic-based ethical democracy model through an interpretation of basic Islamic values, especially the concept of maqasid of sharia. This interpretation serves as a foundation for formulating democratic principles that align with Islamic ethics, such as justice, equality, deliberation, and welfare. The implementation of ethical democracy in the context of Al Washliyah has the potential to be carried out through several strategic channels. First, through a broad educational network as a medium for internalizing ethical democracy. Second, through organizational activities that can strengthen the principle of equality. Third, deepening the practice of democracy within organizations as a model for society. Fourth, implementing social control over various public policies. Fifth, engaging in constitutional politics to ensure that political struggles remain within the bounds of Islamic law and ethics.
