Conhecimento especializado do conteúdo sobre números racionais: um estudo com professores portugueses dos 1.º e 2.º ciclos do ensino básico
No full textThis article presents research that analyzes the Specialized Content Knowledge (SCK) of Portuguese teachers from the 1st and 2nd Cycles of Basic Education, focusing on the topic of rational numbers. To study this dimension of mathematical knowledge for teaching, a mixed methodological approach was adopted. 61 teachers participated in the study. For data collection, a set of multiple-choice questions related to the topic of Numbers were used, originally developed by the research group at the University of Michigan (USA) within the scope of the Learning Mathematics for Teaching project, later translated and validated for the Portuguese context. Interviews were also conducted with selected teachers. The central question of the research was: How do Portuguese teachers perform in questions about rational numbers that require specialized content knowledge?The results reveal that the participating teachers show difficulties in solving questions that require SCK. Their responses often reveal an approach based on the application of rules and procedures or on examples, to the detriment of a deeper conceptual understanding of the content involved.Este artículo presenta una investigación que analiza el Conocimiento de Contenido Especializado (SCK) de profesores portugueses del 1º y 2º Ciclo de Educación Básica, centrándose en la temática de los números racionales. Para estudiar esta dimensión del conocimiento matemático para la enseñanza, se adoptó un enfoque metodológico mixto. En el estudio participaron 61 docentes. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un conjunto de preguntas de opción múltiple relacionadas con el tema de Números, originalmente desarrolladas por el grupo de investigación de la Universidad de Michigan (EE. UU.) en el ámbito del proyecto Learning Mathematics for Teaching, posteriormente traducidas y validadas para el contexto portugués. También se realizaron entrevistas con profesores seleccionados. La pregunta central de la investigación fue: ¿Cómo se desempeñan los profesores de portugués en preguntas sobre números racionales que requieren conocimientos de contenido especializado?Los resultados revelan que los docentes participantes presentan dificultades para resolver cuestiones que requieren SCK. Sus respuestas a menudo revelan un enfoque basado en la aplicación de reglas y procedimientos o en ejemplos, en detrimento de una comprensión conceptual más profunda del contenido en cuestión.O presente artigo apresenta uma investigação que analisa o Conhecimento Especializado do Conteúdo (SCK) de professores portugueses dos 1.º e 2.º Ciclos do Ensino Básico, com foco na temática dos números racionais. Para o estudo desta dimensão do conhecimento matemático para ensinar, foi adotada uma abordagem metodológica mista. Participaram no estudo 61 professores. Estudo comparativo entre a variação diatópica do português brasileiro e do italiano
No full textThis article presents a study about the difference between the Brazilian and Italian linguistic variation from the observation of external influences on the two languages.Starting from the theoretical thinking of Coseriu, we seek to define the difference between dialect and regional variation, demonstrate how it interacts directly in the language system, besides differentiating dialects of regional variations of a language, using examples of Portuguese spoken in Brazil and the Italian language. We argue that dialects are distinct languages from the "mother tongue" and should not be trated as regional variations, and vice versa.Este artigo apresenta estudo acerca da diferença entre a variação linguística brasileira e a italiana a partir da observação das influências externas sobre as duas línguas.Partindo do pensamento teórico de Coseriu, busca-se definir a diferença entre dialeto e variação regional, demonstrar como aquele interage diretamente no sistema da língua, além de diferenciar dialetos de variações regionais de uma língua, utilizando exemplos de língua portuguesa falada no Brasil e da língua italiana. Discutimos que os dialetos se constituem em línguas distintas da "língua-mãe" e que não devem ser tratadas como variações regionais e vice-versa

What will I share? An evaluation of electronic word-of-mouth on service quality and the tourist experience: A case study in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Full text linkA destination\u27s competitiveness and sustainability depend mainly on its ability to provide enriching experiences for visitors while at the same time guaranteeing excellence in service provision (Zibarzani et al., 2022). This research sought to carry out a case study in the city of Bento Gonçalves, located in Rio Grande do Sul, with the Wine Train ride as the object of study, using content generated by users via the Tripadvisor website to analyse the experience of tourists and their perceptions of the quality of services during their train ride. To do this, we used a theoretical review of experience, quality of service, customer satisfaction, user-generated content, and evaluation of tourist services. The methodological approach included the characterisation of the research, the data collection and analysis procedures adopted. The results showed the complexity of analysing quality in tourism, which involves various facets, including the main attraction, secondary services and the parties involved.A competitividade e a sustentabilidade de um destino dependem principalmente de sua capacidade de proporcionar experiências enriquecedoras aos visitantes e, ao mesmo tempo, garantir a excelência na prestação de serviços (Zibarzani et al., 2022). Esta pesquisa buscou realizar um estudo de caso na cidade de Bento Gonçalves, localizada no Rio Grande do Sul, tendo como objeto de estudo o passeio do Trem do Vinho, utilizando o conteúdo gerado pelos usuários por meio do site Tripadvisor para analisar a experiência dos turistas e suas percepções sobre a qualidade dos serviços durante o passeio de trem. Para isso, utilizamos uma revisão teórica sobre experiência, qualidade de serviço, satisfação do cliente, conteúdo gerado pelo usuário e avaliação de serviços turísticos. A abordagem metodológica incluiu a caracterização da pesquisa, a coleta de dados e os procedimentos de análise adotados. Os resultados mostraram a complexidade da análise da qualidade no turismo, que envolve várias facetas, incluindo a atração principal, os serviços secundários e as partes envolvidas
Museu do Pi: um Escape Room Educativo para Aprendizagem da Matemática
Full text linkThis paper presents the implementation of a virtual educational escape room (EER) titled “Pi Museum”, designed to promote interactive mathematics learning within the context of the International Day of Mathematics, celebrated on March 14th, also known as Pi Day. The EER was developed on the Genially platform and applied to 6th-grade classes in a Portuguese school as a formative assessment tool. The escape room’s theme was structured to reinforce students’ knowledge of the number Pi, its history, and applications, as well as to consolidate concepts of perimeter, area, and volume, always involving the number Pi whenever possible. The experience showed that gamification facilitates knowledge acquisition, improves student motivation, and fosters teamwork. The results indicate that students felt engaged and motivated, rating the experience as enriching and fun. The methodology used was based on solving interactive mathematical challenges, promoting an innovative approach to teaching. The EER also offered the possibility of developing transversal skills, which are fundamental for students’ overall development.Este artículo presenta la implementación de un escape room educativo (ERE) virtual titulado “Museo de Pi”, diseñado para promover el aprendizaje interactivo de las Matemáticas en el contexto de la celebración del Día Internacional de las Matemáticas, el 14 de marzo, también conocido como el Día de Pi.El ERE fue desarrollado en la plataforma Genially y aplicado a clases de 6º grado de una escuela en Portugal como herramienta de evaluación formativa. La temática del escape room fue estructurada para reforzar el conocimiento de los estudiantes sobre el número Pi, su historia y aplicaciones, así como para consolidar conceptos de perímetro, área y volumen, siempre que fuera posible involucrando el número Pi.La experiencia demostró que la gamificación facilita la adquisición de conocimientos, mejora la motivación de los estudiantes y fomenta el trabajo en equipo. Los resultados indican que los estudiantes se sintieron involucrados y motivados, calificando la experiencia como enriquecedora y divertida. La metodología utilizada se basó en la resolución de desafíos matemáticos interactivos, promoviendo un enfoque innovador de la enseñanza. Marketing of Tourist Destinations through International Volunteering: Strategies for Differentiation and Growth
Full text linkInternational volunteering has emerged as a differentiating factor in the promotion and positioning of tourist destinations. This study aims to analyse how volunteering can be incorporated into destination marketing strategies, exploring its impact on the perception of the destination\u27s image and its attractiveness to different traveller segments. The objective of this research is to understand how volunteering experiences can be utilised to reinforce the identity and authenticity of a destination, leveraging values such as sustainability, social responsibility, and community engagement. Additionally, the study examines the role of social media and influencers in disseminating positive narratives about volunteer tourism, influencing the travel decisions of potential volunteers and tourists. The methodology will include a systematic literature review and case studies of destinations that use volunteering as a marketing strategy. Furthermore, the perceptions of volunteers and destination managers will be explored through qualitative analysis. The expected results aim to demonstrate the relevance of international volunteering in differentiating tourist destinations, as well as provide recommendations for its integration into tourism marketing campaigns. This research will contribute to the understanding of the intersections between tourism, marketing, and social impact, promoting innovative approaches to the growth and development of sustainable tourist destinations.Este artículo examina cómo el voluntariado internacional puede servir como una herramienta estratégica de marketing para mejorar la imagen de los destinos turísticos y favorecer su diferenciación en mercados competitivos. A partir de una revisión de la literatura que integra la teoría de la imagen del destino, el turismo voluntario, el marketing sostenible y la influencia digital, se propone un modelo conceptual que vincula las experiencias de voluntariado con percepciones positivas e intenciones conductuales. Basado en un estudio cuantitativo piloto con 35 voluntarios internacionales en Portugal, los resultados ofrecen un respaldo empírico inicial al modelo. El artículo contribuye a tender puentes entre la teoría del marketing y las prácticas de impacto social, proponiendo vías estratégicas para gestores de destinos, ONGs y responsables políticos. Se enmarca dentro del ámbito temático de ICIEMC 2025, al tratar temas de innovación en marketing turístico y comportamiento del consumidor.Este artigo analisa de que forma o voluntariado internacional pode ser utilizado como uma ferramenta estratégica de marketing para reforçar a imagem dos destinos turísticos e apoiar a sua diferenciação num mercado competitivo. A partir de uma revisão de literatura que integra os conceitos de imagem do destino, turismo voluntário, marketing sustentável e influência digital, é proposto um modelo conceptual que relaciona as experiências de voluntariado com perceções positivas e intenções comportamentais. Com base num estudo quantitativo piloto realizado com 35 voluntários internacionais em Portugal, os resultados oferecem apoio empírico inicial ao modelo.
