The Effect of Implementing Sharia Principles in the Financial Industry on Economic Stability: Case Study at Bank BTPN Syariah
This study investigates the impact of implementing Sharia principles on economic stability, using Bank BTPN Syariah as a case study. By adhering to core Islamic financial tenets such as the prohibition of interest (riba), the avoidance of excessive uncertainty (gharar), and the emphasis on risk-sharing and asset-backed financing, Bank BTPN Syariah aims to foster a more resilient and ethical financial system. Data was collected through interviews with key stakeholders, surveys of clients, and analysis of financial documents. The findings indicate that the application of Sharia principles contributes significantly to financial stability by promoting prudent risk management and ethical investment practices. The bank's focus on financial inclusion and supporting underserved communities enhances economic stability and client trust. This study reinforces existing theoretical frameworks that highlight the benefits of Islamic banking in mitigating financial risks and promoting sustainable economic growth. Practical implications for Bank BTPN Syariah include maintaining strong regulatory compliance and enhancing ethical conduct, while broader recommendations for the Islamic banking sector and policymakers emphasize the need for supportive frameworks to facilitate the widespread adoption of Sharia principles. Future research should explore the long-term impacts of Sharia-compliant practices and the role of technological advancements in this sector

This study examines the impact of the remote work environment on employee performance and key metrics for performance measurement, focusing on the mediating role of challenges in remote work. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 60 employees at PT. GIEB Indonesia through structured electronic surveys. The results, analysed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS, indicate that while the remote work environment does not directly influence employee performance, it significantly affects performance indirectly through the challenges employees face. These challenges, such as communication difficulties, technical issues, and work-life balance, were critical in determining employee performance and achieving key performance metrics. The findings suggest that organisations must address these challenges by providing appropriate support and resources to improve remote work effectiveness, enhance employee productivity, and ensure accurate performance evaluation. This study contributes valuable insights into optimising remote work strategies and managing employee performance in a digitally driven work landscape
Ensuring Legal Protection for Consumers of Halal-Certified Minang Cuisine in Padang City
This study aims to understand legal protection for consumers in Padang City to establish a model for consumer protection practices in Indonesia. The research employs a normative descriptive qualitative method, focusing on business operators and consumers of traditional Minang products, with data collected through interviews. The study reveals that legal protection for consumers concerning halal labels on Minang food is stipulated in Law No. 08 of 1999. Several reasons contribute to producers not including halal labels: high processing costs, lack of awareness about the importance of halal certification, and consumers' inherent trust in authentic Minang producers, even if the shop lacks halal certification. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) asserts that Muslim-owned businesses should pursue halal certification regardless of the owner's religion

Analyzing Real World Outcomes, Identifying Key Management Challenges, and Uncovering Distinct Patient Subgroups in Amblyopia Treatment Through a Large Scale Retrospective Database Study
This study aims to evaluate real-world outcomes in amblyopia treatment, identify key challenges in long-term management, and characterize distinct patient subgroups using a large retrospective dataset of pediatric patients at a tertiary eye center. A total of 2,044 patients were analyzed using standardized IRIS7 and IRIS50 success criteria. Risk factors for treatment dropout were examined using multivariable logistic regression, and a predictive risk score was developed to estimate the probability of loss to follow-up (LTFU). The findings revealed that 71% and 81% of patients met success under IRIS7 and IRIS50 criteria, respectively. However, 23% were lost to follow-up, with six factors—such as lack of insurance, older age, and prior occlusion—predicting discontinuation. AUC for the LTFU risk calculator was 0.68, indicating moderate predictive ability. Additionally, patients with asymmetric bilateral amblyopia demonstrated comparable improvement with glasses alone versus early occlusion, suggesting a potential revision in treatment protocols. These findings underscore the importance of personalized amblyopia care, predictive follow-up tools, and standardized outcome measures to improve adherence and visual outcomes
