The Effect of Green Phoskko and EM4 Activators on Making Compost Fertilizer from a Mixture of Pineapple Peel Waste and Rabbit Feces Using the Windrow Method

Abstract: Composting is an environmentally friendly method of processing organic waste that can produce high-value organic fertilizer. Organic wastes such as pineapple peels and rabbit manure have potential as compost raw materials due to their high organic carbon and nitrogen content. In this study, a ratio of pineapple peel and rabbit manure of 1:1 (wet weight) was used to obtain an appropriate initial C/N ratio. However, an unbalanced C/N ratio requires special treatment to optimize the decomposition process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the windrow method with the addition of Effective Microorganisms 4 (EM4) and Green Phoskko activators on C-organic content, total nitrogen, and the resulting compost C/N ratio. The research was conducted using an experimental method with a complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of three treatments, namely: no activator (control), addition of EM4, and addition of Green Phoskko. The compost material was arranged in the form of an elongated pile (windrow), turned periodically, and measured temperature, pH, C-organic content, total nitrogen, and C/N ratio every week for 28 days (4 weeks) of the composting process. Laboratory analysis was conducted at Lampung State Polytechnic Laboratory. The results showed that treatment with EM4 produced C-organic content of 17.26%, total nitrogen of 1.63%, and C/N ratio of 10.59, while Green Phoskko produced C-organic content of 16.22%, total nitrogen of 1.45%, and C/N ratio of 11.18, and the control produced C-organic content of 15.64%, total nitrogen of 1.30%, and C/N ratio of 12.03. the compost treated with EM4 and Green Phoskko has met the standards of good compost quality

Analysis of Leading Sectors in Gresik Regency Using the LQ, DLQ, and MRP Methods for the 2020-2024 Period

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the leading sectors of the Gresik Regency economy based on Gross Regional  Domestic Product (GRDP) data by business field for the period 20202024. The study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data sourced from the Gresik Regency and East Java Province Central Statistics Agency. The research instrument consists of GRDP data based on constant prices, which is analyzed using the Location Quotient (LQ) method, Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) method, and Growth Ratio Model (MRP). The LQ method is used to identify the base sector, DLQ to analyze changes in sectoral advantages dynamically, and MRP to assess sectoral and regional growth performance. The results of the study show that the Manufacturing and Mining and Quarrying sectors are the base sectors with comparative advantages in Gresik Regency. Dynamically, the Manufacturing sector shows more sustainable growth performance compared to other sectors. Meanwhile, some agricultural and service sectors still show relatively lower growth. These findings indicate that the economic structure of Gresik Regency is still concentrated in certain sectors and requires more balanced development policies to promote sustainable regional economic growth

The development of village digitalization policies in Indonesia has not been fully followed by the availability of official information media at the village level, including in Matobe Village, which has a rich history, MSMEs, tourism potential, and tsunami vulnerability. This research/community service aims to develop a Matobe Village profile website as a means of preserving local history, promoting economic and tourism potential, and disaster education. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach in the form of community-based research development. The population includes village government, community leaders, MSME actors, tourism managers, and residents in coastal areas; the sample was selected purposively, focusing on key informants who understand history, MSMEs, tourism, and disaster risk. The main instruments were researchers and a team of students, supported by interview guidelines, observation sheets, visual documentation, and GPS. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and participatory mapping; analysis was conducted thematically with triangulation of sources and methods. The results of the study show the realization of the desamatobe.site website that contains documented local history, a MSME directory, tourism information on the Nipah Forest and Mabola Waterfall, as well as a digital map of tsunami-prone areas and zones. In conclusion, the village profile website plays a strategic role as a medium for historical preservation, promoting local potential, increasing information transparency, and strengthening the digital literacy capacity and disaster preparedness of village communities

The Impact of a Consumptive Lifestyle on the Household Economy in Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the impact of a consumptive lifestyle on household economics in Indonesia. The rapid development of technology, social media, and digital shopping platforms has influenced people’s consumption patterns, shifting spending from primary needs to secondary and tertiary desires. Using a qualitative descriptive method with literature study, observation, and semi-structured interviews of households in urban and semi-urban areas, this research reveals that consumptive behavior significantly weakens household financial stability. Excessive spending on non-essential goods and services reduces the ability to meet primary needs such as education, health, and savings, while also increasing the risk of household debt and financial stress. On a macroeconomic level, excessive consumption of luxury and imported goods contributes to trade deficits and decreases domestic economic resilience. Furthermore, low financial literacy exacerbates this problem, as many households struggle to differentiate between needs and wants, leading to poor financial management. The findings highlight that households with higher financial literacy and education levels are better at balancing consumption and maintaining economic resilience. Therefore, improving financial literacy, strengthening social awareness, and developing government policies that encourage productive and sustainable consumption are essential to mitigate the negative impact of a consumptive lifestyle

This research explores the impact of Islamic financial innovations on enhancing access to micro and medium finance in developing countries. Focusing on models such as Murabaha, Mudarabah, and Ijarah, the study demonstrates how these Sharia-compliant financial products have significantly improved financial inclusion for underserved populations and small businesses. Despite notable successes, challenges such as regulatory inconsistencies, a lack of standardized guidelines, and limited professional expertise continue to impede the full potential of these innovations. Nevertheless, opportunities for growth exist through the leveraging of digital platforms and strengthening collaborations between financial institutions and regulators. The findings emphasize the necessity for supportive regulatory frameworks and ongoing adaptation to local contexts to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of Islamic finance innovations in promoting economic development. Recommendations for practice include investing in staff training and adopting advanced digital tools, while policymakers are urged to develop clearer regulations that cater to the unique characteristics of Islamic finance. Additionally, future research should examine the long-term impact of these innovations and explore the integration of emerging technologies into Sharia-compliant finance. Overall, this research contributes to understanding how Islamic finance can drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing regions

This study aims to analyze and compare the zakat management and regulatory systems in Malaysia, Turkey, and Indonesia by examining the legal, administrative, and technological frameworks of each model and identifying the challenges and opportunities for improving zakat fund distribution efficiency. The study employs a descriptive-analytical and comparative approach, collecting data from secondary sources, including academic literature, government reports, and zakat-related regulations in each country. The findings reveal that Malaysia adopts a centralized system supported by digital technology, enhancing transparency and efficiency. In contrast, Turkey follows a decentralized model based on non-governmental organizations, but it lacks a unified regulatory framework. Meanwhile, Indonesia employs a hybrid model, combining government supervision with non-governmental participation, providing greater flexibility but facing challenges in coordination and oversight. Based on these findings, the study recommends enhancing cooperation between government and non-governmental institutions, increasing the use of technology in zakat fund management, standardizing legal frameworks, raising public awareness, and developing an integrated monitoring system to ensure fairer and more efficient distribution. Implementing these recommendations can contribute to strengthening the role of zakat in economic and social development, making it a more effective tool for poverty alleviation and achieving social justice in Islamic countries
