Grassroots democracy serves as the cornerstone of a vibrant and inclusive democratic system, offering citizens a direct and active role in decision-making processes at the local level. Himachal Pradesh, known for its unique blend of cultural diversity and challenging terrain, provides a compelling backdrop to investigate the multifaceted aspects of community engagement and governance. This research employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, to analyze the patterns and determinants of citizen involvement decentralized governance structures in the state. It explores the mechanisms through which individuals and communities engage with the democratic process, shedding light on the impact of local socio-cultural contexts and the role of government institutions in facilitating or hindering participation. By examining the case of Himachal Pradesh, this study not only contributes to our understanding of grassroots democracy in India but also offers insights that are applicable to similar contexts worldwide. Education is an inspiration for science, and a strong basic education can affect the future development of the nation. The leadership strategy consists of various ways to increase teacher professionalism, such as attitude, mentality, and intellectual capacity. The survey was conducted between July 31st and August 11th, 2023, in the Basic Education of Marcelo 2 Comoro Administrative Post of Dom Aleixo, Dili Municipality. The research findings show that leadership responds to the same purpose as teachers, aiming to improve the quality of teaching learning through various ways to increase teacher professionalism. The steps used by leadership to improve the quality of teacher professionalism through academic training and the leadership strategy are used to facilitate teachers at different levels of education to ensure quality

Libraries in the Age of Intelligent Information: AI-Driven Solutions
Get PDFThis study explores the paradigm change that artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about in the context of libraries in the age of intelligent information. A quantitative survey was carried out, and a methodical description of the study\u27s procedure is provided. The research sampling strategy, data gathering, data collection tool, and statistical analysis are all included in this quantitative approach. Additionally, a random sampling procedure was used to choose the study sample. Similar to this, questionnaires were employed as response instruments to collect data in both physical and digital formats. Findings from the investigation showed that 45% of institutions are private nature and 50% institutions shows the status public. 1-10 years’ experience were 62% respondents, 11-20 years’ experience were 31% and only 8% of respondents were 21 years above experience. The study emphasizes how important it is to create a welcoming and open library ecosystem where artificial intelligence (AI) enhances operational effectiveness while protecting user privacy and pleasure. All things considered, this thorough analysis highlights the many ways that artificial intelligence (AI) might transform libraries and meet the many demands of their patrons. Looking forward, the article discusses the promising future of AI in libraries, envisioning AI-powered chatbots, predictive analytics, and virtual helpers as integral components of an AI-driven library landscape

Cash transactions involve physical currency, whereas non-cash transactions rely on financial institutions facilitating inter-bank and intra-bank transfers through internal networks. Among the non-cash options, credit cards stand out, enabling users to access funds seamlessly. The attractiveness and practicality of credit card services spark customer interest. This study seeks to explore how trust, perceived usefulness, and service quality impact customer inclination towards credit card usage, with satisfaction acting as a mediator. Employing a quantitative approach, data collection includes observation, literature review, documentation analysis, and questionnaire distribution. The study involves a sample of 100 credit card users at Bank Mandiri Regional Credit Card Arief Rate Makassar. Analysis methods encompass descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and path analysis. Findings reveal that trust, perceived usefulness, and service quality positively and significantly influence both customer satisfaction and interest in credit card usage. Furthermore, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between trust, perceived usefulness, service quality, and customer interest in credit card utilization at Bank Mandiri Regional Credit Card Arief Rate Makassar
Evaluation of Child’s Right Portrayal in Select Nollywood Films
Get PDFThis study examines the role of Nollywood films in promoting child rights in Nigeria. Using Development Media and Social Representation Theories, the study analyzed five locally produced movies and 663 respondents. The findings revealed that Nigerian films depict various issues of child rights, including neglect, child labor, emotional abuse, child battering, sexual abuse, gender discrimination, child kidnapping, child trafficking, and moral abuse. The study concluded that Nigerian movies provide a country perspective for deepening moral and social consciousness and advancing attitudinal change in child rights. The authors recommend that filmmakers continue producing films that address child rights issues to further advance justice against children

Get PDFTThe COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted the field of social science research, necessitating a re-evaluation of research methods and practices. This research explores the transformative efforts of COVID-19 on social science research, focusing on the changes in methodologies and practices that have emerged in response to the pandemic.Existing literature was reviewed on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected research methods and practices in social sciences. Digital questionnaire was developed to collect primary data from social science researchers indicating the changes they have made in their research methods, the reasons behind these changes, and their perceptions of the effectiveness of these adaptations. Telephonic interviews and focused group discussions were conducted with the selected group of social scientists who have experienced significant changes in their research due to COVID-19. Their experiences, challenges, and innovative solutions they have employed have been explored. Secondary data was also generated from various online and offline platforms. Total 50 social science researchers were surveyed and interviewed. The results of the study shall be helpful to researchers, society, government and policymakers to pay special attention on this particular issue. The main findings and their implications for the field of social science research shall be summarized. The key ways in which the landscape has been reshaped by the COVID-19 pandemic shall be highlighted
