Beringharjo Market: Object and Tourist Attraction
No full textIt primarily aims to understand how the Yogyakarta Government works to position Beringharjo as a tourist hotspot and pinpoint factors drawing in visitors. Using qualitative case study methods, it investigates the market\u27s dynamics involving visitors, tourists, and traders. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and secondary sources, merging primary and secondary data via content analysis. Informant selection through purposive sampling ensured insights aligned with the study\u27s objectives. The findings highlight extensive governmental efforts to enhance Beringharjo\u27s appeal. Measures include organizing traders, setting up an ATM center, establishing a One-Stop Shopping Center, and meeting diverse visitor and tourist needs. The market offers traditional cuisine, batik, fashion, handicrafts, alongside facilities like escalators, places of worship, health clinics, and ample parking, all to augment its allure
China’s Foreign Security Strategy Through the Belt and Road Initiative Under Xi Jinping: Achievements and Challenges
Full text linkAfter becoming General Secretary of the Communist Party of China in 2012, President Xi Jinping led the implementation of a comprehensive reform of the national security strategy. Among that, the foreign security strategy plays an extremely important role in China’s national security strategy under the leadership of President Xi Jinping to realize the goal of the “Chinese Dream”, rejuvenating the great Chinese nation. To achieve that goal, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is the key strategy to help China rise to become a global superpower replacing the position of the US in the future. This paper uses a qualitative analysis method through secondary data collected in October 2023. The research results will provide an overview of the BRI. From there, the paper objectively and multidimensionally assesses the results achieved by the BRI so far, while reflecting the challenges currently and prospectively facing the BRI

A critical component of the research involves assessing the impact of aging on financial security, evaluating the relationship between financial security and dignified aging, identifying opportunities for improving universal social pension programs and providing recommendations for policy and practice. This research contributes valuable insights to the academic discourse on aging and social welfare, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities inherent in ensuring dignified aging. The findings are anticipated to inform policy decisions, shape interventions, and contribute to the ongoing global dialogue on creating inclusive environments that prioritize the well-being and dignity of the aging population
Economic Analyses of Small holder Rice Farmers in Kebbi State, Nigeria
Full text linkThis study examined the economic analysis of rice production in Kebbi State, Nigeria. The specific objectives were to identify the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents, estimate the cost and returns, and evaluate the efficiency of resource use. Primary data were used in the study. They were obtained through a questionnaire A total of 160 rice farmers engaged in rice production were investigated. The collated data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, budgetary analysis, and resource use efficiency models. Results from the analyzes revealed that most rice farmers were above productive age, experienced, and could read and write. Empirical results also revealed that rice production is viable with approximately 40% return on investment for every N1 invested in the rice farming enterprise. Resource use efficiency in the study area showed underutilization of seed, farm size, fertilizer, and agrochemicals. It is recommended that the farmers in the study area should be provided with farm input and improved technologies, which could enable them to become more efficient in rice production and further guarantee sustainable growth and food security

There were approximately 700 million confirmed cases and 6 million deaths globally at the time of the study. To manage and prevent the virus from spreading, the World Health Organization (WHO) has established guidelines and recommendations for safety measures like vaccination, wearing face masks, avoiding social situations, maintaining proper hand hygiene, and restricting travel. The emergence of novel virus variants highlights the need for ongoing vigilance and adaptation in public health, and ongoing research has guided the development of effective vaccines and treatments
