Tren layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan menggunakan teknologi RFID: Kajian literatur di UIN Sunan Ampel Kampus Gunung ?Anyar Surabaya
Full text linkThe purpose of this study is to understand the implementation of RFID in the circulation service at UIN Sunan Ampel Library, Gunung Anyar Campus. One way to improve library services using information and communication technology is by utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. With RFID, users can engage in self-service, enabling them to perform borrowing and returning processes independently. The advantage of this self-service is to enhance time efficiency by speeding up the circulation process. The research method employed in this study is literature review, involving the collection and analysis of various literature sources regarding trends in library circulation services. The findings indicate that libraries can adopt smart technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT), and gaming. The use of these technologies aims to alleviate librarians' workload, facilitate user access to library services, and provide new and engaging experiences for users, thereby increasing their interest in visiting the library. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of libraries, particularly in the circulation field, to continuously adapt to user needs. Therefore, libraries should follow current emerging trends to remain relevant

Full text linkThis article is entitled Collection Development Efforts at the Nurdin Hamzah University Library. By using a descriptive qualitative research method to describe the collection development efforts carried out by librarians at the Nurdin Hamzah University Library Jambi. The primary data in this article is from online interviews with librarians and secondary data is obtained from the analysis of books, journals and related articles. An important activity carried out by libraries is the development of collections because with the development of collections, the needs of users will be fulfilled and the library has better quality and quality. In addition, there is a need for cooperation to meet the information needs of users. From the results and analysis, the Nurdin Hamzah University Library has done a good collection development. Although the Nurdin Hamzah University Library does not yet have a written policy, collection development activities are also carried out by the library such as community or user analysis, policies on collection development, selection of library materials, procurement of library materials, weeding of library materials and evaluation of collection development are often carried out annually at the library. Improving library services through digital-based promotion
Full text linkLibraries use learning resources and information providers that have an essential role in increasing their promotion through digital. The IAIN Ponorogo library is one of the libraries that has implemented several digital-based library promotions. This research is to determine how to implement digital-based library promotions and understand the obstacles in carrying out activities through social media. The method uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. They are collecting data through participatory observation and interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's interactive design, which includes data reduction, data presentations, and conclusion drawings. The results show that efforts to improve services through digital promotions at the IAIN Ponorogo library have developed quite well. There are several digital-based promotional models, namely: library branding with the CERIA (Intelligent, Effective and Efficient, Friendly, Sincere, and Trustworthy), library copywriting, library websites, library vlogs, and the application of library social media (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp (chat only)). The problem is that there are no program designs, individual budgets for promotion development, and professionals in the field of information technology

Therefore this can be an innovation in the world of libraries. Libraries can build a mobile-based online application that can be accessed via Android which contains the world of libraries. The purpose of this research is to make innovations related to the needs of virtual communities in the form of mobile-based online library applications. This research method uses descriptive qualitative method through literature study, namely research based on literature study and analysis of the development of problems in society. Digital archives are archives that are stored in digital format to be freely accessible for a long period of time. Archival institutions have an important role in maintaining, storing and preserving archives that have important value in them. Full text linkThis study aims to determine students' perceptions of the importance of Tandon and Serial collections as a means of fulfilling student information needs at the Sunan Ampel UIN Library, Surabaya. The method used is quantitative which displays numbers in the presentation of survey data and questionnaires. There are two analysis results obtained from this study, namely: 1) The procedure for utilizing Tandon and Serial collections begins with tracking the collection through OPAC and filling out the loan form. Borrowing transactions must include a Membership Card with a maximum collection of two copies for two hours. Collections can only be read and photocopied in the library area. 2) Students' perceptions about the importance of using Tandon and Serial collections in fulfilling information needs are in a very good category, because they have a final score of 78 percent

Full text linkA phenomenon of the establishment of libraries in Indonesia which is often motivated by practical and instrumental considerations, including at the level of high school libraries (SMA) in Surabaya, makes the research aimed at knowing the social construction of libraries for high school principals in Surabaya, and knowing the types of the type formed by the principal of a high school in constructing a school library in Surabaya. The research uses the theory of Peter L Berger and Thomas Luckmann, which involves the processes of Externalization, Objectivation, and Internalization.
This research is a qualitative research with an interpretive approach. Determination of informants using a purposive method. The researcher reduced the informants so that they got 10 people. Data collection is done by direct observation (observation) and conducting in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews). From the results of this study obtained three typologies, the first is empathy leaders. This type considers the type of school and other infrastructure as equally important. Sympathy leaders consider the library important, with all its shortcomings, and are apathetic leaders. While the library is important, the school's main priority is more on infrastructure other than the library, such as a computer lab

UIN Mataram has accommodated the needs of millennial students, especially in library.The facilities and services that have provided the needs are by setting sockets in rooms; supplying free wifi; giving rooms for discussions; arranging space and adding flowers as accessories; simplifying any rules, and upgrading services by RFID technology
