The rapid development of this era is certainly a challenge for the world of libraries considering that the library is now starting to leave the library that becomes a source of information and switch to more sophisticated information systems. Based on this, the library needs to make a new breakthrough to maintain its existence and attract reading interest and evaporate the ability of information literacy to continue to grow. This article discusses the cooperation or collaboration carried out by libraries and cafes in improving literacy and also the desire to visit the libraries of Syiah Kuala University and Coffe Cho. With this article is expected to be an inspiration for readers to be able to pour ideas that seek to maintain the existence of libraries and also to attract reading interests and improve public literacy
Perancangan sistem informasi user education berbasis Web: Best practice Perpustakaan IAIN Salatiga
Islamic State Institute of Religious Affair (IAIN) Salatiga library carries out user education for new library members / new students on new student orientation. In the 2019/2020 academic year, and in 2021, IAIN Salatiga library cannot conduct user education face-to-face due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So the researcher and librarian of IAIN Salatiga tried to design a web-based user education information system. The purpose of this research is to design a web-based user education information system to make it easier for new students of IAIN Salatiga to follow user education online and without a time limit (unlimited) and at the same time register as a member of the IAIN Salatiga library online. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the method of observation, interviews and literature study. Sistem scaning barcode dan scaning QR code pada daftar kunjungan Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Indonesia
The purpose of this study was to find out how the information system has been applied to the list of visits to the STIE Indonesia Library. The method used in this research is using qualitative research methods, with data collection through interviews, observation, and literature study. The results of this study indicate that the information system used on the list of visits to the STIE Indonesia Library has undergone several system phases, including the manual system, the data entry system in the automation system, the barcode scanning system, and the QR Code system used so far. The QR code system is considered the most effective system used on the current library visit list, because the QR Code system for users only scans barcodes available with smartphone media owned by each user, so that the difficulty in reading barcodes is minimal, which previously existed on the constraints on the barcode scanning system
Pengolahan bahan perpustakaan di UPT Perpustakaan IAIN Kediri
The processing of library materials is an integral part of supporting the implementation of library service activities. In processing library materials, it is necessary to apply international rules and principles. This study aims to determine and describe how the processing of library materials at the Library of IAIN Kediri. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The steps in this research are through the data and literature collection stage, the analysis stage, the data presentation stage, and the conclusion drawing stage. The conclusion in this study, namely cataloguing library materials, has followed the rules that apply internationally in cataloguing library materials. The obstacles experienced by the UPT Library of IAIN Kediri in processing library materials are the lack of human resources who have library science qualifications, the lack of human resources for librarians who master the technical skills of processing library materials, and the lack of infrastructure in the library material processing activities
Perbandingan fitur OPAC perangkat lunak sistem perpustakaan terintegrasi: Sipadu, Lontar, SLiMS akasia dan inlislite 3
Perpustakaan di Indonesia saat ini telah banyak melakukan sistem otomasi perpustakaan khususnya perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Munculnya perangkat lunak otomasi perpustakaan yang sumber terbuka (open source software) mempercepat pertumbuhan implementasi sistem otomasi di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Modul Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) merupakan modul penelusuran informasi yang sangat penting bagi pengguna sehingga semua perangkat lunak otomasi menyediakan modul ini. OPAC berfungsi untuk memudahkan pengguna untuk menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan cepat dan tepat sehingga semua perangkat lunak sistem otomasi menyediakan modul ini. Namun evaluasi terhadap kemampuan OPAC masing-masing perangkat lunak yang digunakan oleh perpustakaan baik yang dikembangkan sendiri, berbayar maupun yang berasal dari sumber terbuka, belum banyak dikaji sehingga belum terlihat kemampuan dan kelemahannya
Perpustakaan madrasah sebagai pusat informasi dan sumber belajar bagi siswa
Almost every madrasah is equipped with library facilities as a source of information for students in the morning. The library provides a variety of services and a complete collection that students can use to fulfill their information needs. Also, the development of collections to fulfill information needs can be said to be routinely held for enrichment of reference materials. Whether printed collections such as books, newspapers, magazines, and dictionaries or digital collections such as providing internet access for users in the use of ebooks and e journals, which are available free of charge. With the improvement of excellent service and the realization of cooperation between libraries and external parties, it is hoped that the library will not only function as a center for information sources but also as a learning resource for students. Students can carry out independent learning in the library, such as reading or completing school assignments with the convenient use of services and collections in the library.
 
Pengaruh Desain Interior terhadap Produktivitas Kerja Pustakawan di Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Surabaya
Labor productivity is a major thing that generated real by employees under the auspices of an organization, is no exception librarian. Librarians work productivity is generally influenced by various factors. One of the factors that can affect work productivity is the environment in which they work. This study aimed to determine the influence of interior design workspace to work productivity librarian at the Library of the State University of Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach explanative survey method. Sampling using a sampling saturated with the total number of 77 respondents who are librarians who work Surabaya State University Library consisting of Airlangga University Library, Surabaya State Library Institute of Technology, Surabaya State University Library, and Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya. Multiple linear regression was used to determine the effect of five variables interior design. Based on the results of partial test is known that there is no significant influence of furnishings, noise, and lighting on work productivity. Variable temperature and the layout has a significant impact on labor productivity. Based on the results of the F test is known that a significant difference between interior design factors (X) on the productivity of librarians (Y). Interior design factors have 54% influence on the productivity of the librarians at the Library of the State University of Surabaya, while 46% are influenced by other factors outside the interior design factors
Faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan manajemen data penelitian (research data management) di lembaga penelitian
Research data management has not been widely implemented In Indonesia. However, several research institutions have successfully adopted it with various levels of implementation. Various obstacles faced by research institutions and universities may cause the slow implementation of RDM. Nevertheless, institutions that have implemented RDM also have supporting factors that potentially help in accelerating RDM implementation. To find out the factors that support and hinder the RDM implementation in research organizations, the researcher conducted a study of two research institutions, namely CIFOR and LIPI. This research was a qualitative study and the data were collected through direct interviews. The results of the interviews were then processed and analyzed using the thematic analysis method. The results of the study show that the two institutions have several supporting factors in carrying out RDM, namely: the character of the organization which is a research institution, the involvement of overall management in the advocacy process, the existence of supporting policies, and the existence of outreach and training activities for the researchers. Meanwhile, the hindering factors are the researchers who have not been familiar with RDM, the resignation of some researchers at CIFOR, and the uneven competence of human resources in PDDI LIPI. The last two inhibiting factors are uniquely experienced by respective institutions. The successful implementation of RDM in research institutions requires the cooperation of all parties at all levels of management. In addition, research organizations need to provide support services, namely research data services, data literacy training for researchers and librarians, and the availability of institutional policies
Perpustakaan sebagai tempat pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa dalam penyelesaian tugas akhir: Studi kasus di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya
The focus of the problems in this study are: 1) What information needs must be met by students in completing their final assignments at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) Faculty of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? and 2) What is the role of libraries in meeting the information needs of students who complete their final assignments at FTK UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? The results, it shows that Information needed by students of the FTK at UIN Sunan Ampel in completing their final project is all collections available in the library, both printed and digital. Print collections such as books, dictionaries, journals, research results are the most sought-after sources of information, and this can be obtained through the use of general collections, reservoirs and serials, specials, references, and corners. Other information needs are fulfilled from digital collections in the form of repositories that can be available through the website http://repository.uinsby.ac.id. The Sunan Ampel UIN library has a significant role in fulfilling the information needs of students who are in the process of completing their final assignments. There are at least two supporting indicators, namely the level of visitor visits which reached 141,438 students in a year or 11,786 people each month and book-borrowing transactions totaling 75,110 copies only in the period January to August 2019 or an average of 9,388 copies per month. Several reasons that make students prefer to visit the library compared to other places such as bookstores are due to the dampness and variety of collections, comfortable places, easy access to collection utilization, friendly staff, and the suitability of collections to scientific needs
Studi tentang kualitas layanan digital I-BAGENDIT dan hubungannya dengan citra Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Garut Provinsi Jawa Barat: Studi eksplanatori survey
This study aims to determine the quality of i-bagendit digital services with the image of the Library and Archives Office of Garut Regency, West Java Province. The variables of digital service quality include aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and aspects of physical products. As for the dependent variable, namely about image. For the theoretical basis using Anthony Giddens' structuration theory which formulates the production and reproduction of members of the social system as resources in interaction. The approach used in this study uses a quantitative approach with a survey explanatory research type. The population in this study were members of the i-bagendit digital library with the sampling technique using simple random sampling (simple random sampling). For data collection techniques are carried out through interview questionnaires and through literature study. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the results of the sub-variable testing of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and physical products with the image of the Office of Library and Archives of West Java Province show a significant or significant relationship. So in general conclusions from this study illustrates that the quality of i-bagendit digital services is related to the image of the Garur Regency Library and Archives Office, West Java Province, meaning that the quality of i-Bagendit digital services with aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and products Physical response by library users is positive, it will form a positive image of the library institution
