SUPPORT OF POTENTIAL OF INLAND WATERWAY TRANSPORT

    No full text
Potenciál európskych riek sa v súčasnosti využíva nedostatočne. Kompetentné orgány EÚ si kladú za cieľ zvyšovať potenciál vodných ciest a podporovať vnútrozemskú plavbu ako ekologický druh dopravy. Podporné programy EÚ zvyšujú povedomie o vodnej doprave, jej využitie a príspevok k dopravnej politike EÚ. Zaistením transparentnosti pri rozdeľovaní kompetencií na medzinárodnej úrovni a zavedením účinných finančných stimulov je možné zlepšiť celkové riadenie a podporiť rozvoj vnútrozemskej vodnej dopravy v rámci EÚ.The potential of European rivers is currently under-utilized. The EU competent authorities aim to increase the potential of waterways and promote inland navigation as an environmentally friendly mode of transport. EU support programs raise awareness of water use, its use and contribution to EU transport policy. By ensuring transparency in the allocation of competences at international level and by introducing effective financial incentives, it is possible to improve overall governance and support the development of inland waterway transport within the EU

Inland waterway freight transport mainly uses oil and petrol from petroleum products. In the territory of Slovakia, the Danube river is used as a transport route with a dock in Bratislava, by means of which barges transport goods to foreign ports. The advantage of using this mode of transport is low environmental burden and also the price for transport. The disadvantages include dependence on natural conditions (water level) and transport time

HARMONIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES IN THE INLAND WATER TRANSPORT

    No full text
Nedostatok kvalifikovaných pracovných síl je jednou z najväčších hrozieb pre udržateľnosť a rozvoj vnútrozemskej vodnej dopravy. V dôsledku uvedomenia si dôležitosti situácie vzniká potreba koordinovaného úsilia zo strany všetkých zúčastnených strán tohto priemyselného odvetvia, Európskeho spoločenstva, riečnych komisií, členských štátov i ďalších zodpovedných strán. Zjednodušenie a harmonizovanie legislatívy v oblasti kompetencií, vzdelávania a kvalifikácie, vrátane ich vzájomného uznávania prostredníctvom prijatia Smernice (EÚ) 2017/2397 môže byť ďalším krokom v procese zlepšovania mobility a atraktívnosti vnútrozemskej vodnej dopravy. The lack of skilled labor is one of the greatest threats to the sustainability and development of inland waterway transport. Currently, there is a necessity for coordinated efforts by all stakeholders of the industry, the European Community, River Commissions, the Member States and other responsible parties. Simplifying and harmonizing legislation on competences, education and skills, including their mutual recognition through the adoption of Directive (EU) 2017/2397, can be a further step in the process of improving the mobility and attractiveness of inland waterway transport

Carinthian Enthronization Ceremony and the Premyslid Myth

    No full text
The present study deals with the medieval enthronization ceremony held in Zollfeld near Karnburg where the Carinthian dukes were inaugurated. This ceremony was described in a number of period sources from the 13th to the 15th centuries (the last ritual took place in 1414) and has been explored by many scholars since the end of the 19th century to the present. At the same time, the literature sources point to a cultural connection with similar rites known from both Slavic and Indo-European environments. One of the aims of the study is therefore to summarize and point to the most significant existing theories concerning the origin and the course of the ceremony. Another aim is to point out the connection between Carinthian setting ritual and a legend (or myth) about the origin of princely power in Bohemia where a similar ritual, apparently inspired by this myth, was proved in the early modern period. In the end, the study, in accordance with the current research, attempts to suggest a possible interpretation of the individual elements that are a part of both the setting ceremony and the myth of the royal power. The present study deals with the medieval enthronization ceremony held in Zollfeld near Karnburg where the Carinthian dukes were inaugurated. Emotional pressure and violence in the milieu of the nobility in the Saxon era of the Polish-Lithuaninan Commonwealth

    No full text
The main goal of the study is to describe the phenomena of violence of emotional nature, both in parallel and subordinate relations, in the Saxon times. Various structures of dependencies affected all areas of social life in the First Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Saxon times, coming under the reign of two Saxon electors chosen for the kings of Poland ‒ Augustus II (died 1733) and his son Fryderyk August III (died 1763), is an interesting period of decline of baroque customs and culture that began to transform under the influence of the Enlightenment ideas of the mid-18th century. From the perspective of emotions, analysis of correspondence of this period brings interesting information about social structures, dependencies and forms of psychological violence arising at this level. In the article, the phenomena of emotional violence is put under analysis to find out whether and how the used means of emotional pressure influenced the form of social relations and political life. The main goal of the study is to describe the phenomena of violence of emotional nature, both in parallel and subordinate relations, in the Saxon times. Early Attempts on Education of Czech Evangelical Preachers of Augsburg Religion

    No full text
The correspondence of Michal Institoris Mossotzy (preacher of the Slovak-Hungarian committee of the Augusburg religion in Bratislava) from the end of the 18th century, stored in the manuscript collections of the Lyceal library in Bratislava, conceals rich information about the early years of the tolerance period of the forming evangelical committees in Bohemia and Moravia. One of the problems these archives capture is attempts to create a generation of pastors based on the home environment, who were supposed to ensure stability in the new choruses. This work presents attempts to educate six boys (future preachers) coming from five churches of the Augsburg religion to the evangelical lycée in Bratislava. Although the boys came from a financially strong environment and had Mossotzy\u27s support, their studies did not usually end successfully. The boys fled after even several years of study, eager to join the army, take over their parents\u27 businesses or break up completely with the evangelical church. The causes of failure in creating the first Czech generation of preachers can be seen in the immaturity of the boys, the distance from home and the adventurous environment of a city.
